Great quality Chinese takeout. I've ordered from here three times now, and each time they've knocked it out of the park. Consistency is my number one thing I look for in a Chinese takeout spot, and so far it's been great. I've tried the house special mei fun, boneless ribs, chicken and steak fried rice, fried wontons, and fried chicken wings, and each has been spectacular. They've also given me a freebie each time I've picked up my order--either a couple of free sodas or a 2-liter. Very friendly staff. The food took two hours. The initial order was put in at 4:28 and the order was estimated to be delivered NLT 5. It got adjusted twice and now is being estimated to be delivered by 6:18. The place is a mile away and doesn't offer pickup on the app. We selected this restaurant over the other close Chinese restaurant because of the ratings but with this service I would just pick the other one. I finally called the restaurant and the lady who answered the phone said the order was delivered. The app said (and still now at 7:16 still says) the order is in process. She said her app (what app?) showed the order as being delivered. We checked the front door (we were sitting in the front room the entire time) and the food was on the front step. The driver never knocked, never rang, the app was never updated. When I opened the order, we were missing not only the large wonton soup, but also the General Tso's Chicken Combo Plattet was missing the lo mein noodles. The store offered to provide an in person credit (we were in a rush to depart on a five hour drive and had ordered delivery so we wouldn't need to go anywhere and wait) or a grubhub credit (I never use grubhub, I ordered through Yelp, and with this service I won't ever use it again.) So, a pretty lousy experience for OK Chinese food that was supposed to be convenient but was the most inconvenient delivery experience ever read more

On a Monday night I have to say they stay consistently busy. All take out orders while the dine in folks are forgotten about. The place looks nice but has some sore thumb details like the shopping cart full of soda and the seats are in need of repair. This maybe the best of what they offer around this area but I have to admit I was disappointed in the Crab Rangoon and the Pu Pu platter. Also this chip with sauce is no good. I cannot stress enough about the service being scarce and forgetful. I honestly believe that we may have enjoyed the experience better if we got it to go. read more

Hello, We used to go to this restaurant about once a month when I worked near it. We haven't gone there in a couple of years, so I thought we would try it. It's no where near the quality I make at home, which I don't always expect when going out. The pork fried rice had a few small nubs of pork in the large order. No peas, and other ingredients that are normally found in other restaurants pork fried rice. The chicken and broccoli was subpar. The chicken was rubbery, and the broccoli was overcooked. My son liked the white rice, and the egg rolls were OK. When you're spending $66 for 2 orders of chicken and broccoli, large pork-fried rice and 3 egg rolls, it could've been better. I suppose if people keep going there and seem to like it, then nothing will change. If I could propose a challenge and imagine Chef Ramsey was hovering over you and you had to prepare some nice dishes to serve. What would you change? Is this your best? Thanks, read more

I must rave about this standout Chinese takeout spot. First and foremost, customer service here is superb. My partner and I have gotten food here a couple of times now at this point and we are always surprised by how friendly the cashier and owner are. When we went here the day before Christmas, they gave us a free soda--just for the heck of it! We ordered an eggplant dish and Singapore noodles both of which were delicious. I seldom write reviews unless I'm truly impressed--and I am so here! Extremely warm, clean and inviting atmosphere. I dined in and instantly adored the waitress. She was friendly, kind, efficient and accommodating. The food is delicious (I ordered the lunch special of Chicken Lo Mein and Pork Fried Rice) and there's a large selection on the menu. Just ordered from Grubhub. Wanted something different other than Italian American and Mexican. Hadn't tried this restaurant before and it got good reviews so we tried it. And we were not disappointed!!! It's definitely on our rotation!! I judge Chinese food by the wanton soup and it was good and plentiful. The fried scallops were good not greasy at all. I used to buy excellent Chinese meals from China Wok in the past. a few weeks ago I ordered a famous dish called general Tso and couldn't believe how much things have changed in that restaurant! It wasn't spicy at all , the broccoli were steamed and put in that takeout container separately not in the sauce and the rice was in a separate container as well . On top of that in the same container in another spot they put french fries.!!! this meal is famous for the sauce being hot and spicy with the broccoli inside the sauce. There is not side of French fries for this dish either. Either the owner has changed or the head chef. read more

New Years Eve takeout: first time and very disappointed. Hot and Sour Soup was neither hot or sour, weak flavor, bland. Egg rolls were okay, Duck sauce and mustard were factory packages as well as the side chips. Entrees; meats were over tenderized to the point of slimy. Veggies were limp and overdone. Visiting the area for the weekend and staying in a hotel near here. Ordered online on our way back to the hotel. It said 15 minutes and I got there about 10 minutes later so it wasn't ready yet. Super friendly staff, had a nice conversation and they were very pleasant. I mentioned staying at a hotel so they thoughtfully provided all the plates and utensils for us too. They gave us some extra goodies as well and really just nice customer service. Got to the hotel and started in the food. I always judge restaurants by their egg rolls first. Pork egg roll was delicious, maybe a little greasy but wonderful taste and fresh. Chicken lomein was excellent. Noodle text was spot on and flavour was great. Simple dish and done well. Lemon Chicken. I don't see this on menus by where I live, but the chinese restaurant I grew up with this was my favourite. This was totally spot on and was delicious. 2 big pieces of chicken sliced up with the veggies on the side. Lemon sauce was sweet, but not overly so with a good lemon flavour. Chicken was enough for 2 meals. This was fantastic and just like I remembered having years ago. Yummy Chinese food especially the appetizers. Had the pu pu platter was full of well made delights. The orange beef was good and flavorful and the service can't be beat. I called in my order and was told I would have to wait an hour as they didn't have all the components of the pu pu platter. I agreed and got a call at 30 minutes that it was ready. I had a tough day during a long road trip. Too many wrong turns around Philly had made me grouchy. I decided I'd order Chinese food and kick back in my hotel room. I ordered online, which was so easy via the China Wok website. When I arrived (a few minutes earlier than my scheduled pickup time), I paid at the counter. The place was busy and a line formed quickly. The restaurant was clean and organized, and the whole staff was working hard. I appreciated that I could see into the kitchen. The people who helped me were friendly in spite of how very busy they all were. A lot of the customers seemed to be regulars and made polite conversation with the staff. I waited several minutes (which was fine! I was early!) and still, they tossed in an extra egg roll and even offered me ice cream or another dish for having had to wait. So kind of them! Incredible service. The food was amazing. We had the General Tso's shrimp, which were saucy and spicy and sweet. The fried rice was well-seasoned. The egg rolls and soup were tasty! Everything was steaming hot and tasted fresh. China Wok turned my day around with great food and service. Standard American-style Chinese food. What really sets them apart is their staff. They are hands down the friendliest people ever. They try to learn your name and always offer soda or ice cream when you pickup your takeout. You can dine-in but I've never done that as there isn't a ton of ambiance.
