The portions are pretty generous and the prices are lower than many of the other options in the immediate area. You can get a lunch special with just the entree and fried rice/rice for around $7.50 all-in. The dishes are a bit on the salty side but you can ask them to go lighter. Very poor and very rude customer service. Called to check on my order after 1 hour and was told it was out for delivery and then called again after 20 mins to be told it was being made! When I questioned it they told me they are cancelling the order and hung up on me! This is the 3rd chance I have given this restaurant ( very loose term for this establishment) after finding a long hair in my food and then on another occasion receiving a totally different order to what I requested, only to be told to bring it back! Our favorite Chinese restaurant ever. Always fresh food. Pleasant and friendly family owned and operated. The food is always great, never stringy or hard to chew chicken or recooked. You can see them working hard together in the kitchen behind the counter. They'll make what you want and when you want. I've been with them for years and not one complaint from me ever. They keep clean a restaurant and beautiful plants as well. I'm picky when it comes to Chinese food, but two thumbs up always for Pearl Garden. Be patient and understanding with delivery person, they can't control traffic or road conditions, but they do their best to arrive on time with your delicious hot food. Highly recommend ! read more

It's so hard to find good hot & sour soup and they make it better than any Chinese American place around! Also they have great service, they stayed open until 9:30 for me when they close at 9pm!! I've ordered from this place a few times and each time I've tipped the driver I live in a house that has 2 apartments in it. I placed an order today that was 26 dollars and I paid the delivery fee then I get a call 20 mins later stating that the deliver driver won't deliver here because he never gets tipped. Such bad customer service and your really going to lose a customer due to the delivery driver not wanting to deliver to an address. Deff do not recommend this place. Not professional. read more

Just placed and order for delivery on 10/19/19 around 5:45PM I have ordered from here quite a few times with no issues. However, this time around they delivered an incorrect entree. I ordered a chicken teriyaki stir fry but they delivered pork instead. When I called to inform them on their mistake I was told "That is how our chicken looks." Really??? Does your chicken normally taste like pork as well? An insult to my vision and highly experienced palate. Refused to offer any sort of refund (Angry man yelling in background "No Refund" was clear as day how they like to treat paying customers). They did call me back and said that if I was willing to drive the incorrect order back to the restaurant then "We could work something out." Mind you I placed an order for delivery and paid delivery charge and tip so I didn't have to leave my house to travel all of the way down Germantown Pike (12 minutes each way while I'm entertaining company mind you) Is this really how service works nowadays? The food here is very good. Everything we've tried here has been as good or better than most of the other chinese places in the area. Pearl Garden has become our goto place for takeout. The few times we've gotten delivery everything was fast and still perfectly hot. The place itself is very simple so don't expect much if you decide to eat there, but for I would definitely recommend it for takeout. read more

The food is pretty good.. standard. Our family usually orders online and typically we choose delivery. For awhile it was our favorite place to go..However... On one occasion a visiting family member ordered, at their discretion they did not place a tip on the their card, nor did they have cash.The driver stormed off with an attitude mumbling under her breath; shortly after the family member received an email saying "thank you for your business.. but please tip the driver, or pickup food! ". This not only rubbed them wrong, but also us , as we usually order often and tip as well .. while I understand tipping is customary, I also think it's up to the customer. Pretty standard American Chinese food. The quality is pretty decent, the service is good, and the inside is small but nice. I enjoy eating here from time to time. The thing that really puts this place above the others, though, is the price to portion ratio. For under 8 dollars I can order a lunch I can hardly finish, lots of flavor and very satisfying. Tried Pearl Garden and after waiting over an hour for delivery, the first thing the delivery driver says to me, BEFORE even giving me my food was "you paid online and didn't give me a tip." That's just rude. First off, you don't ask where your tip is. Second, I wasn't given the option to add a tip with the online payment. Went to this place when it first opened up and it was good. Just got a meal that was not. Won Ton noodles tasted gummy and old and the pork inside was foul tasting. Many nerves throughout the meat. The food is great American Chinese, I got shrimp and broccoli and the broccoli is perfectly cooked unlike the places that leave it too raw. I'm really funny with friend rice, and theirs is good, they have both onions and bean sprouts as an option which is a must for me and its fried unlike those places that say it is but it's actually steamed instead. My only problem is the delivery time took an hour and I was starving! All in all I will be a returning customer. read more

Ordered from this place 5 times. Once they got it right. This past order we ordered an item with white sauce. They put a different sauce on that we realized when we got home. We called them to tell them, they offered to drop off the other sauce which would do nothing since the food was already covered with the wrong sauce. Then they said we could bring it back, it wouldn't be long cause they would just toss it in a pan with the new sauce, once again not fixing the issue, especially if this was an allergy issue. We told them we wanted to return the food. They did but offered absolutely nothing for our time to pick up and return , offered no foo replacement, or future discount. I had a take out order a few years that the chicken was really chewy. I really wanted to egg drop soup so I thought I would try them again. The soup was excellent but the sesame chicken was so chewy and fatty that I throw out the container without finishing. I ate 3 pieces and that was enough. Fast food chicken is better than this was. Disappointed, I just gave their online ordering a try. First they had not receive the order it had not gone thru on their system so they were not processing it...I will not hold that against them. The only reason I called is because the delivery man would need to call me because I am not hooked up to intercom. Secondly when delivered I asked if chop sticks were in the bag he nodded yes. Apparently he doesn't speak english or he was just trying to get the tip from me. Thirdly I order coconut shrimp the batter was tough and took away from the ease of eating the meal. The Vegetable fried rice was good the vegetable were still crunchy...I like that. Finally the shrimp egg roll was not good the shrimp inside were tough and not clean they still had the vein in them and that turned me off. I like the ease of using Paypal to pay but the meal was not good enough to do again.... not this one anyway. I ordered a large General TSO's chicken and only received three pieces of broccoli. This meal typically comes with 6 or 7 pieces of broccoli. The chicken wings were burnt and drowning in extra batter. Telephoned the restaurant to try to resolve the problem, and the owners gave me attitude. They did not try to resolve the issue and frankly did not care what I thought about their food or service.
