My husband thought the cashew chicken was good but had too much cashews and wouldn't have minded more chicken. Service was quick and people were friendly. Great location. Went there for the first time after hearing several recommendations. I tried the barbecue pork rib ribs, which were absolutely delicious. The only downside was there's a little bit too much sauce. Solely regarding takeout not dine in. The Lo mein was very good, excellent flavor and good mix of veggies, pork and noodles. The dishes were PACKED to the brim not cheap with their portions at all! I wasn't sure I'd like the brown sauce here so I got it on the side. Ordered delivery off grubhub for lunch. This is probably my 5th Chinese place in the area that I have tried in my search for the perfect one. Still haven't found it. I'm not sure what's with the yellow fried rice down here, it's just weird and not fried rice! Fried rice is BROWN not yellow! This was also dry, flavorless, no egg and no veggies other than onion and bean sprouts (which I appreciate btw) but no carrots, no peas, no egg and just a few pieces of pork. Disappointing. The sesame chicken was decent enough. The chicken rice soup was good and was just what I needed as I am very sick. The eggroll was nasty. Ordered a meal that clearly says it comes with fried or steamed rice and an eggroll. Food showed up in a tiny plastic bowl, soggy as hell, like it sat in a sauna before it got here. And surprise.... no eggroll. Called to let them know and the lady hits me with "you didn't say you wanted one." Like... what? Why would I need to ask for the thing that's included in the meal? Actually one of the more tastier Chinese around the area. As another reviewer mentioned, dumplings are a bit thick, but still full of filling and filled to the brim in the soup. I LOVED the egg roll - crunchy with fresh veggies inside. The Mongolian beef had so many onions, which I don't mind, and wish there were some charred green onions. Placed an order with this restaurant. They gave the order to Beyond menu for delivery. The order we got was totally wrong. the person who was supposed to receive it lived almost 15 miles away from us in Oldsmar, while we live in New Port Richey. Nobody would except the claim for the mistake. Now we have this person's address and phone number, as well as his TOFU Curry and Broccoli. The process of correcting this was a total nightmare. Beyond menu said we needed to call China Express and China Express said we needed to call Beyond menu. I don't understand how a driver could not look at his delivery ticket and not know he was going to the wrong city, almost 15 miles away. First time diners to China Express and we had a great meal. Very small space for dinning in, only 4 tables...but we ordered our meals to eat in. Combo dinner selection was very large. I was awakened at 3:30 the next morning with what I thought was appendicitis...after six hours in the ER I was told I had food poisoning. This place has never been that great but on our most recent visit we found a cockroach wing and leg in our food. They refused to refund my money and said I put the cockroach leg there. They also charged us for an egg roll on a dinner combo even though it's included and would not refund our money just gave us an extra egg roll. The place is actually called China Express, and it's located in Mitchell Plaza on SR 54 and Little Road. I've been going here since the restaurant opened about five (?) years ago. The owners are almost always there, and they are also co-owners of the Asian Buffet place on 54 and Rowan just a few minutes away. The wife, Lin, ALWAYS remembers my and my mother's orders, no matter how much time has gone by since we were last there. She even recognized my grandmother once, who went in to ask for some wonton soup. The owners try to make the restaurant "family-style", so they give great service and are always helpful with any suggestions. They're also very careful to remember any allergies or dislikes a customer has. The inside is a little small, but there are a few tables where you can eat in comfortably and watch some television before you go shopping in the plaza. I refuse to eat Chinese anywhere else in the area. Their food is always great, not doused in grease, and the taste is fresh and wholesome. The place is very clean. Another bit of information, their lunch specials are $5 and the portions are huge, and they accept credit cards, but only with purchases above $10.
