We came here as a group of 9. Even though they have a pretty small dining room, they were very kind to set up some tables to make it work for us. We chose this restaurant because it was one of the few nearby that had gluten free options for me. They didn't know, and we didn't tell them, but we are all here together for my aunt's funeral service, so their kindness and patience meant a lot to us. They were great at accommodating the two kiddos in our party and their particular dining needs, and everything came out as requested. The miso soup was quite salty for my cousin. My Tom Yum Soup was pretty good, but not very spicy. I enjoyed my Panang Curry, and there was a lot of unagi in my cousin's Unagi Donburi. My uncle ordered the ramen and it took a really long time to come out, but I wonder if it was just due to staff shortage in the back relative to our party size. Had refried rice with crab - daily special; overall it was good just a little too much oil. Felt like it had been made ahead and sat too long before ordered so added oil to freshened, the crab meat sat on top so was not affected, but it was imitation crab. Finally went in person to a local favorite. It was packed with customers and we waited 15 minutes to be seated, totally worth it. It was slightly before main dinner time hours, 415pm and already busy. We ordered our appetizers and they were delicious, Gyoza, crispy spring rolls, Shumai, all delicious!. My husband and I have been coming here since 2022 and this is our favorite spot to get sushi. The service is always great and the food is consistently good quality. The portions for the fish in sushi are bigger than most places which I really appreciate because the flavors work really well. I hope that they can succeed and expand to have more seating in the future but in the meantime, I will continue to keep supporting their business. read more

We have been coming here for a few years and tonight's experience was very disappointing. It was early on a Saturday evening, around 5pm. The restaurant was maybe half full. We ordered our drinks and appetizers. Shortly after we ordered our meals (just 2). After 45 minutes guests who came in after us were receiving their meals and so were several takeouts. After 55 minutes I asked the server to check on our food. She said there was a new cook and it would be 10 more minutes. The new cook had no problem getting the meals out. Finally my husband's dish came out. It appeared to have been dumped on the plate. It looked hot. I took a fork full from the side...it was COLD! They nuked it!! I think they packed it up as a to-go and completely forgot it was dine in meal. When mine came out, same thing...hot and cold spots. I ate it anyway. I had a headache. My husband sent his back. We ordered the spicy garlic edamame of the special board and the crab rangoon. Then we hit the sushi including some rolls and some nigiri. Every single thing was great. They had signs up saying they were short staffed and asking for patience. I didnt need any because the service was spot on. The sushi making was really really well done. First trip and overall was very pleased with the quality of fresh fish for our several sushi options we enjoyed. They have a lunch special with 2 basic rolls salad and soup for $13.95. Since the rolls available were very underwhelming we opted for options off the main menu. We also tried the the crab Rangoon and spring rolls and both were delicious. The dining room is a very small space with maybe 12 tables. Our server was pleasant but the rolls took quite a while to arrive at our table. They have no fountain drinks and charge $3 a can. Rolls were a large size and filled nicely. Unfortunately for them the plaza they are tucked back in is very not welcoming and dilapidated looking. Ordered the massaman Curry. It's described as "A mild, savory, slightly sweet, and rich with fragrant spices, potato, carrot, onion, and roasted peanut". I would completely disagree with the description. While there were tons of onions and carrots which were cute nicely, there was hardly any chicken (w small pieces), no potatoes and there was nothing I found fragrant or flavorful. The sauce was like watered down peanut butter. I also ordered it "spicy" and there was no spice to it at all. My partner ordered the chicken pad Thai and gyoza. The gyoza were okay, but very greasy. And the pad Thai was a large portion, but again lacked any flavor. The one positive was how quickly it was ready. But is that a positive if it's disappointing? read more

We started with the appetizer sampler platter. The crab Rangoon was my favorite but they were all tasty and crispy! Very fresh. We had three sushi rolls: Mexican, Tampa and Super crunch roll. This place is absolutely incredible! I just moved back to Florida from California and my friend recommended this spot, which I would have never found. It's unassuming in a little plaza off the side of US 19. We arrived around 4:30pm and I'm glad we did because it got very busy around 5:30pm. I'm not even going to bother listing the long list of sushi rolls and nigiri that we ordered because everything was so amazing. I will tell you some of our favorites- Angel Roll, Smoked Yellowtail, Hamachi Jalapeño Sashimi, Volcano Roll. I can't speak enough about the quality of the fish here. Our server was very friendly, however there was one woman (she acted like a manager) that seemed to be annoyed and just having an off day. She took care of folks but her abrasiveness definitely showcased in her delivery. We started with crab rangoons and gyoza. The rangoons were delicious, I wouldn't order the potstickers again. We got a few rolls one was on the specials board and a spicy salmon. We also did yellowtail sashimi. All the sushi had great flavor and fish tasted fresh. My husband always tries the pad Thai when we first try a new Thai restaurant. The first few bites were good but became overly sweet very quickly. Who would've thought that such an amazing little Thai restaurant was hidden in Pasco county in a random, half shuttered business center. Not I. The Thai tea was amazing and some of the best I've had. The Crab Rangoon appetizer was another good choice. The filling was thick and the dipping sauce was a perfect pair for them. The crab lump fried rice was around $20ish, but worth it! SO full of flavor and a good amount of the crab meat (which wasn't fake). I ordered a side of spicy mayo, but barely needed any of it to take this already delicious meal to the next level. Tried Rooster Thai Sushi for the first time. We had the California Roll and the Spicy Crab Roll. They were both delicious. The main course was Pad Thai. It tasted a little different to me than other Pad Thai that I have eaten. The first thing I noticed was the color was off. The noodles were in a brown sauce that tasted like a combination of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and ketchup instead of a white noodles with a hint of a reddish sauce and the chicken was dry. The presentation was nice as it had a lot of bean sprouts and crushed peanuts. We had the Fried Green Tea cheesecake that had a Panko crust. It was good. The only suggestion here would be to add a sauce of dragon fruit, raspberry, or passion fruit. The service was good. I want to go back and try the curry before deciding if this is my new place for Thai. Rooster is definitely my new place for Sushi. read more

We tried Rooster Thai on a whim and happened to be in the area. Whoever is managing the fryer needs a raise because the appetizer sampler was AMAZING and I don't normally like fried foods. My second favorite was the rainbow ocean roll, which had NO rice and just lots of GOOD fresh fish. The angel roll was about a 7/10 for me. And I really enjoyed the spicy tuna roll. Normally they don't come with cucumber in most places I go to but I didn't mind it.
