1 Piece Egg Roll
Danielle P.

Ordered delivery off grubhub for lunch. This is probably my 5th Chinese place in the area that I have tried in my search for the perfect one. Still haven't found it. I'm not sure what's with the yellow fried rice down here, it's just weird and not fried rice! Fried rice is BROWN not yellow! This was also dry, flavorless, no egg and no veggies other than onion and bean sprouts (which I appreciate btw) but no carrots, no peas, no egg and just a few pieces of pork. Disappointing. The sesame chicken was decent enough. The chicken rice soup was good and was just what I needed as I am very sick. The eggroll was nasty. Not crunchy and a pile of mush inside that resembled cat food. The food was delivered fast and hot so that was a plus but again it was through grubhub. The search will continue

Wonton Soup

Actually one of the more tastier Chinese around the area. As another reviewer mentioned, dumplings are a bit thick, but still full of filling and filled to the brim in the soup. I LOVED the egg roll - crunchy with fresh veggies inside. The Mongolian beef had so many onions, which I don't mind, and wish there were some charred green onions. The beef was flavorful and silky and was a perfect portion for the price. This is one of my top go to for fast and convenient Chinese from now on!

Orange peel beef dough, mush.

No way! $75 worth of takeout in the trash... I hate throwing food, but this was an exception. I hate to leave bad reviews anywhere, but this food is unacceptable. Orange beef was pure dough. There was no filling on the wanton. They forgot one of the dishes in the order(thank god?) I will never buy food here again.

Great service and food. They will even add or take away anything you want to the dish. Lots of vegetables!

Pretty darn good considering all Chinese food in FL is terrible! We use for take-out, best we have found so far!

I'm with Anthony M. This place has great fried rice and the General's chicken is fantastic.

It's a large space with a modern bar, booths along the windows, tables scattered throughout, and two event rooms on either end of the main dining room. Sara greeted us promptly, as usual with a smile, and was attentive without hovering. I had a Buffalo Trace Manhattan, she had an Angry Orchard, and my small glass came with enough ice to keep it in the freezer for the next shift. I had the blackened shrimp tacos. Tasty, with a little tang, but this is where the pricing starts to raise an eyebrow. They were $17 for 2, and most other places give you 3 for $16 or less, usually with sides too. She had the steak quesadilla at $18, which also felt a little steep. Most others are $14 or less. Still, she enjoyed it, so there's that. For once, there was no 3% credit card upcharge, but at these prices, you have to figure it's already built in somewhere. The food was good overall, though I think the meal came in about $10 high. I also hear the place is for sale. Good food, service, ambiance, and view. All pretty common on the Gulf of America -- which is kind of the point, I guess. They've got a few easy, not-too-expensive fixes, so I'll leave it to you to be the judge.

It was easily accessible by the birthday girl who was using her walker. Service was wonderful! Sarah was prompt with bringing our drinks after we ordered them, and keeping those drinks full. She brought us our food orders as soon as they were ready. Everything was at the proper temperature and delicious. Our party ordered salmon, fried shrimp, fish & chips and Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Our meals were filling, and what we couldn't eat came home with us! We are definitely returning for the fried shrimp!! We brought cake which Sarah expertly delivered to the table once we were done with dinner. Only one candle was not lit when she placed it in front of the birthday girl. But that was okay! She blew out the others to get her wish. I'm betting that wish was to return here. Everything was memorable and enjoyable!!

(We'd seen it last week when she did the maiden paddle down the river on her new-to-her kayak.) I'm very glad she noticed it and suggested we try it out: it is wonderful! The vibe is laid back with a happy local riverside feel. The bar area is on the right with most of the dining tables to the left. Our server, Joseph, is aces! He suggested the fried mozzarella planks, which sounded great but, seeing as this was Lady Liberty's day we went for a classic, fried pickles with a template sauce. Joseph definitely knows the menu! For entrees she picked the fried shrimp basket and I went with the Almost Island Style Grilled Chicken sandwich. (The pineapple is what did it.) As much as I loved my sandwich, next time I'll likely try the grouper, which he had recommended.* We also tried sides of French fries and potato salad. All was quite tasty! They have their own parking lot and, despite being busy, there was ample parking. We will be back and we recommend you try it out as well! -- * I'd not tried the grouper because it seemed overpriced. After I ate I asked asked about that and received a brief but clear explanation as to why the cheap fish of my youth had become so much more expensive, Nothing like a server who knows not just his menu but the factors that affect pricing!

We asked her several questions and she knew the answers to everything. We ended up ordering an app and an entree each. She warned us that the oysters were hand shucked and might take a bit longer. No problem. We didn't mind when they came out. After 30 minutes, my husband's clam chowder finally arrived. It was delicious, but there was no reason for a cup of chowder to take 30 minutes. Chowder has to be made in advance. Thirty minutes after that, so an hour after we originally ordered, someone (the owner? another server? I don't know who.) said our food would be up soon. Our original server then came over to apologize and say that they hadn't even started our oysters, crab legs, or the Grouper platter at all. An hour later and they hadn't even started cooking?! It wasn't even that crowded. Surely shucking a dozen oysters doesn't take an hour?! We asked our server to cancel everything. We paid for the chowder, gave her a very generous tip for her trouble, and left. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was to have to leave hungry. Get it together Crab Shack! That's ridiculous.

Fish and chips: my fish was soggy on the bottom (and dripping) and the chips were run of the mill frozen boring fries. Onion rings & clam strips were just okay. The food was fresh and a great value. The only small complaints I could make is my bun for the junior size was just like a plain hamburger bun versus my husband's larger sandwich came with a much nicer toasted sesame bun and they didn't have the onion rings available. This is definitely worth a try!
