The lo mein is amazing, and the crispy fried scallops in a spicy ginger sauce that I had tonight? Sooo much yum on a plate! They have a "house dinner special," that includes hot green tea, an eggroll, a bowl of soup (diner's choice), and an entree (there are several to choose from)...all for $9.99. What a deal! My boyfriend and my sister both took advantage of the special and they both left incredibly happy and full! The service is usually just okay. The servers are attentive but not super friendly. We had takeout. Ordered the Chinese Eggplant in Sezchuan sause, the Chicken in Brocoli sause, and the Mu-Shu Chicken + extra wraps. Everything was tasty and I would say that it was above avg as far as takeout goes. The owner was very nice and very concerned that I enjoy the food. I went back the next night to grab a few more wraps for the leftover mu-shu and she seemed so happy that I had enjoyed the eggplant. Been going to Chinatown since it first opened when I was little. Favorite is beef and broccoli with water chestnuts added. However, I think I've ate everything on the menu and might change my mind on my favorite if you ask me tomorrow. Chinatown offers a pleasant respite from the restaurants/tourist traps Sevierville offers. The servers are fabulous, the food is tasty and served hot, and the location is easy to hit on the way into and out of town. I recommend the wonton soup, crab rangoon, and General Tso's Chicken. Parking is limited, and the restaurant looks sketchy on the outside. However, as is the case with the best restaurants, you can't judge a book by its cover. read more

My husband and I decided to try out China Town Restaurant on the Forks. We both ordered sweet and sour chicken because that is the only dish my husband likes in Chinese cuisine. After about an hour, Waiter (who clearly struggled with english language) brought us two orders of sesame Chicken. We nicely told him we ordered sweet and sour chicken. He said we didnt, and that he heard us say sesame chicken. He takes the sesame chicken, then comes back with and says he knows what we said. Basically saying we were lying, and he was loud too, everyone was staring at us.. It really went all over me, so I told him to cancel the order and we would just pay for our drinks and Egg drops soup. He never apologized or anything, so rude and hateful. I understand people make mistakes, that wasn't the problem, its another thing when they stand there and make you out to be a liar, when obviously he misunderstood, or got confused. The staff was very friendly, the food arrived quickly and was nice and hot, and the unsweet tea was delicious. I think I'm in love. My boyfriend and I found this place while waiting for a table at Joe's Crab Shack. When I first walked in, it immediately reminded me of all the Chinese restaurants back home. It's nothing fancy - don't come here if you're looking for atmosphere or anything other than fantastic Chinese food. You'd be better off going to a themed restaurant at that point. When we first walked in, we were of course skeptical. We sat in a booth and was served pretty quickly, since there was only one other family in the restaurant. I hit this place with my friends after a long day hiking on the mountain. The exterior of the building looks worn out but inside very neat. The staff are all friendly. This place provides delicate American Chinese food like sesame chicken as we know. Also they have traditional Chinese on the chef's special menu.
