Their equipment is in terrible condition. You have to call for any updates as to why they are 2 hrs behind schedule for delivery 15 minutes away. Called a 3rd time by 10:15 and it was "on its way". Same story from the hour prior when I called. They will also try to rush you through leaving you with only 5 hrs of work time during the day so they can pick up at 5:30. Terrible management and terrible equipment. Call someone else. They will be cheaper and on time. read more

Excellent service. We needed to rent a few tractors to finish some landscaping issues our builder never finished. Yeah, I will review that builder soon enough, but for now...let's not go there. Chino rentals is awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. They even drove out to fix the tractor when a pin went missing. Couldn't ask for better service. read more

You may have to be a tool nerd to really enjoy this place, but enjoy it we do. Everything you didn't know you needed is available at Chino Rentals & propane too. We heard about the place before we moved here! Really cool place to kick around in, excellent staff, first rate service. I'm so happy we're in their town! read more

We tried to buy local in our town and we were basically denied. Brian is extremely rude! My husband and I went over with a list of Stihl equipment that we were interested in purchasing. A man named Brian assisted us (hardly). He took the list of the items which had our phone number so he could call us with the pricing. He was extremely rude. We called again a day later on Friday, to follow up and his response was "maybe I'll get to it on Monday". Needless to say, we have not heard back a week later. Evidently he's not interested in being bothered. We have since purchased all the items elsewhere. And they delivered them directly to our house. read more

Awful experience. Damien is rude and unprofessional. Tries to make you feel like its is an imposition to call him on the business line and he can't even converse about the machines he rents without consulting with the equipment documentation - capacity, track width and machine weight are basic facts he should be familiar with but he makes it seem like he is put out by the request for information. When I asked for the weekly rate, he told me "you figure it out" based upon the day rate he had quoted. He was not smart enough to realize that a week rate is typically not simply a multiplier of the day rate - a real genius. Oh, and his English, well, let's just say it's not his first language. I can't tell you if Chino Rentals is worth doing business with because they have this clown giving such bad service that I'm not sure I would ever even call them back - at least until they fire or retrain Damien to act semi-professional and informed. Guys like him can ruin a business reputation. read more

They dropped off the bigger one and took back the first one on the same truck. Them they charged me a a pick up fee AND a delivery for that trip. One truck, one trip to jobsite and I was charged twice like they were two different trips. Tried to justify it on possible other deliveries etc. Bunch of bull. Do yourself a favor and use someone else. They will overcharge you if they get the opportunity.

I tried calling a few places and most were either closed or did not want to make the drive out to us. Got ahold of Sunstate eventually and was greeted on the phone with great customer service immediately. The gentleman who answered took my tire size, verified they had the right one on hand and had me send a pin of my location. He stated they would arrive in about an hour. Maybe 45 minutes later they had arrived. Swapped the tire out within a few minutes and we were back on the road. My tires usually cost anywhere from $220-275. With that in mind, along with the drive out to us, I was expecting to be raked over the coals on pricing. Not only was the tire much less than expected ($199), their rates were incredibly reasonable. I was out of there for less than $340. I was almost expecting double that. Great service for a great price. I can't recommend them enough!

I…read morearrived at 8:15 am on a Saturday to find them getting my equipment warmed up and ready to go. they took time to show me how to operate the equipment & even offered to let me test drive it there to get familiar if I wanted. They also help me with loading and checking to make sure the lights worked on the trailer. The process was smooth and was treated fairly. I ended up not using one piece of equipment that I reserved for the whole day, I called them at 11 am to let them know I wasn't going to need it. They came out and picked it up (since I paid for delivery service) and charge me appropriately for a 1/2 day. I Returned the last piece of equipment on Sunday night and left it in their yard for Monday morning since I had to catch a flight out on Monday. I call them Monday am to just confirm they had seen I returned it, the man I spoke with said he hadn't noticed but no worries he would handle it. The transaction was smooth and had no problems with the equipment.

When I came to pick everything up on the day of the wedding, I was informed that they did not have the number of heaters I requested. Since there is no other rental company, I was stuck with what they had. The guy that showed me how to work the propane heaters was very rude. I asked if all of the heaters had been checked....he said "of course!". Got everything to the venue and tried to light the propane heaters. Only 3 would light. Despite help from the freezing guests, was never able to light the others. The kicker on all of this was when I went to return them the next day, I was charged for all 6 and was told "well they all worked when you picked them up." Wow.
