There's a large children's playground and horseshoes pits for the adults. Firewood is really cheap at $3/bundle and they even delivered it to your camp site. There are 4 restrooms on site, but no showers or running water. It's camping and not the Ritz-Carlton so make sure you know what you're getting into. Pete and Pat live on site and made sure to check on everyone at least once a day which was really nice. They even picked up our trash every morning. Make sure to bring cash as they don't take credit.

My only wish is that there were more activities available for children; we stayed from Thursday to Monday, and there was only one organized event throughout the entire weekend. I observed many individuals expressing concerns about the picnic tables, but ours was in excellent condition, truly one of the best I've seen at a campground, which suggests improvements are being made. I did find myself tripping over exposed tree roots quite frequently, but fortunately, I didn't sustain any injuries. Overall, I still have a fondness for this campground, and my children particularly enjoy swimming in the lake.

First of all Michigan drivers are crazy, loud music and vehicles on road right outside your camper no matter where you park. Want to sleep in, yeah no big buddy. They need a wall and barrier, not a good place to camp and relax, just so much freeway type traffic, LOUD! Showers are disgusting. There are four total and paint falling off dirty walls corners, hair so much hair in drains. Then they are on timers. No way to adjust the hot/cold or how long you're able to use the shower. No person is that fast in the shower and I'm talking about just wash hair and body... they need to extend the timer at least 3-5 min, just to wash hair and body, all three times in shower I wasn't able to rinse my hair out until restarting the push button way out from the shower stall. Staff are snickering teens who walk by your campsite and talk crap, same teens cleaning the showers need a 101 in hygiene. Seriously, it looks like ringworm waiting to happen. Will not camp here again and I DO NOT recommend this place. Last straw is chickens. They have chickens ok no problem but when you have a crazy rooster who is allowed to roam and harasss the guests, there's a problem. If you have toddlers or small animals, BEWARE!

They always mess up our sites and we always have a big group and get the same site everytime. I then gave her a $10 as she is having a conversation with another co worker. She then tells me the total again and I told her that I just gave u a 10. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CUSTOMER NOT YOUR COWORKERS. Then they made a big stink bout wearing a mask on the bus and 1st of all they didn't wear a mask at not in the store or busses and they did not make people wear them on the bus. And talk bout safety one of their trailers were missing wheels on both sides. They have the electrical boxes for the site and more than have didnt work so you had to share 1. And they said if its a problem to let them know. Ok HOW ABOUT JUST FIX IT.. This place is going down hill.

A very nice view in itself. Then the boardwalk travels on, then goes under a bridge and next to a sand dune, then Bam! The lake and path funnel into Lake Michigan and the path onto an amazing beach. I had no idea this beautiful public beach was here. The views are outstanding and the sand is pristine. We took the dog, yes on a leash, for a walk of the beach and had a great time.
