I like that they collect trash twice a day, you just need to put trash out next to your site number. They light up the site number so it was very easy to find out site when we got back in the dark. No alcohol campground so in general, it isn't noisy or loud, just people enjoy their time. Easy in and out as one way around campground. Has lots of things to do for little kid, they have rotating weekly schedule. My toddler loves the playground & big sandbox. We ate some ice cream too as a night treat. I definitely want to be back next year. Just one small thing to keep in mind: as a T mobile user, all of us don't have any cell service. The only place they have wifi is the Cove, so we took turn to spend a short time there to use wifi to keep in touch with family at home. We are okay with no wifi but it is a bit difficult with no cell service.

You will hear the laughter and cheers as children play throughout the day! While the pool was definitively the favorite spot of our 6 year old, there really were so many things to do in this campground. There were plenty of staff members to make sure everything was running smoothly. We would rank this as one of the top 5 campgrounds that we have stayed at!

My friends and I planned on a weekend trip to nearby Flip City disc golf course 6 months ago, but…read moredue to a scheduling mixup earlier this week we were not able to camp on site there. At the last minute I found this campground and made my reservation over the phone with the owner Don. He was very helpful and booked us site 44 since we requested shade and an electric hookup. The campground is stunning! After a meandering drive in through the woods, the road opens up to the lake itself which is surrounded by campsites of all types and sizes. Check in was a breeze thanks to Sue and we easily found our site for the weekend. 44 has ample shade and a large area where we setup our tents next to a beach. We had a wonderful view of the sunsets every night and really cool-looking fog banks over the water early in the morning. Very relaxing campground. Our favorite part was swimming out at the sandbar and jumping off the floating wooden raft at the center of the lake. The campground is only a short 15 minute drive to nearby Shelby and Hart, MI. Muskegon is only about a half hour south. If you're a disc golfer, Flip City is only 15 minutes away and is one of the best courses in the U.S. we played three rounds this week and had some amazing meals at Big Hart Brewery in Hart, MI and The Brown Bear in Shelby. My friends and I will be staying at this campground every year for our Flip City weekend going forward. It's unique location on the lake, relaxing atmosphere, close proximity to local food and attractions, and the wonderful owners make this a gem in western Michigan.

We have stayed here the last five years - this campground continues to evolve and get even better…read more If looking for a higher end park with lots of kid play areas - I highly recommend. The outside and inside pools and water park area are excellent - the outdoor adult hot tub is A+. The grounds and sites are very clean and manicured with maturing landscaping. Many kids for mine to play with & they enforce kids curfew on the grounds at night and I personally think that is great. I find that RV parks that enforce their rules are better managed and I appreciate that. The video game room has allot gambling style games which I guess is what people like now - I maybe I am just old -lol. If anything critical - I would say the food service needs to improve or at least get better at managing expectations - been a year maybe it is better now - just has a general vibe of making stuff happen but no real attention to details.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience the last two years while under new management,…read moreafter my 6th and 7th year of camping at duck creek. While I understand that rules are necessary, this place takes it to an unreasonable level. It feels like there are more restrictions than opportunities to actually relax and enjoy your stay. The seasonal people they used as grounds staff are unfriendly and unwelcoming. Instead of treating guests with respect and trying to help, their customer service seems to be the last priority. My 15 year old daughter actually had a gentleman chase her on foot for being out walking past the curfew time. The hours for the campground amenities are limiting. The pool, water slide and jumping pillow close at 6 - this is frustrating, making it difficult to enjoy what you're paying for. For the price of a campsite, guests should have reasonable access to the facilities, but that definitely wasn't the case here. Management was the biggest disappointment. When issues arose, there was little effort to listen, communicate, or find fair solutions. Instead, authority seemed to be used to intimidate guests by threatening to ban them rather than resolve problems professionally. The manager is extremely accusatory, confrontational and dismissive and seems to care more about having the last word when presented with a concern. Overall, this campground makes it clear that enforcing rules matters more than providing a positive camping experience. There are plenty of campgrounds that balance safety and order with good customer service. Unfortunately, this isn't one of them, and I won't be returning or recommending it to others going forward. There is nothing family friendly about this park.
