Yesterday we had a charge on our receipts for tortillas, we didn't order tortillas nor did we get tortillas , so I asked and the man said " the district manager wants us to charge for water cups) , okay sure , not disagreeing with this. This is 2nd time I have been given a up Charge on a Bowl... passing down the line you have 18/20 options, I chose what I think was rice beans corn , salsa , A brown item ( later was billed $3.40 as Extra Sofrita's.. had to look it up !! A spoon full of this item was a 30% up charge on the $12.15 Bowl.. it's very Confusing unless you eat there frequently enough to get (Screwed ) and finally figure it out! Good Product, but they kinda take adrift a situation.. when I cannot Understand their Employees, it should not be My Problem!! Not a Good Let me Add to the Ambiance it's dirty, neglected, and unnecessary! 2-3 employees trying to deal with the situation is obviously a Corporate Greed issue!! My Mother's Day picnic meal was a FAIL. My daughter picked up our lunch time meals and the first thing I noticed was the lack of heat within my bowl. I also noticed the lack of weight, especially since I ordered double protein and extra cheese. Opening it, the tiny sprinkling of cheese appeared plastic-y. And the double protein? NOT THERE! But they sure charged the additional $6. My daughter reached out to the store within hours of pick up and they REFUSED to make it right with her. WHAT A JOKE! I chose Chipotle out of all of the restaurants available for my Mother's Day meal. Apple Valley Chipotle - YOU FAILED, YOU STOLE and I will NEVER step foot into your establishment EVER!!!! Wow, this place is going downhill and I'm so sad about it because I used to be a loyal customer and come here all the time. My sister ordered a rice bowl for pick up two hours ahead of the pick up time, I arrived 5 mins a bit late and they said they ran out of fajitas, brown rice and beans so couldn't make the order.. I was baffled by what he said and asked if there was anything he could do for me, he had no solutions and just told me to call chipotle customer service. I would 100% absolutely not dine here again. The dining room is disgusting. Garbage, food, empty bottles all over the tables. Garbages were full to the top and overflowing. They do not clean between customers in the dining room and do not sweep or wipe on the tables. I clearly should've looked at the reviews before I came here. Only upside is, they fill your burrito bowls to the top! I would possibly get takeout, but would not dine here. Actually we had a stomach ache after so we will probably not go back to this location. Honestly, we try to give this location another chance every so often, and usually are reminded why we avoid it. The staff is almost never even kind, it feels like they try to say as few words as possible. The line is always so messy and gross (and usually leads to things like sour cream smeared on the outside of the burrito and the tinfoil). Whether during busy hours or off-hours, they seem to ALWAYS be out of things. Consistently super disappointed in this location, not sure what the deal is here as other Chipotles in the area have been way better for us. Often when I drive by, they also have chairs up and signs on the door that say "online orders only" which is a bummer due to often just wanting to stop in for a convenient meal when shopping in the area instead of waiting to place an online order (plus, prices are much higher when you order in the app). read more

Went there at 915p on a weeknight. There were 8 people in line. They already had all food pans pulled out of heated holding area. They were cleaning the area. I ordered a salad bowl with steak. They stopped making new food. I was told the brisket was available. Every piece was cold and hard. It was horrible. Service wasn't bad. Wanted fresh food. They closed at 10p. They served cold old food. Lots of new places opening that serve fresh food. COSTA VIDA tastes like a sit down restaurant. Look out Chipotle. I went there 5 mins before closed. Got exactly what I wanted, twice as much food. If you close at 10p, serve fresh food until at least 945p. Food at Costa Vida was a healthy portion and Cost no more than a salad bowl. Ordered carnitas for my bowl, tell me why instead of telling me they were out the guy scooped the WATER at the bottom of the pan onto my bowl?? This place is always a mess every time I come here, and the staff seems so apathetic towards cleaning their stations, the drink station, the tables, etc. The food itself is fine, it's chipotle, but when I asked for a steak salad- they absolutely decimated it with so much salsa that it was essentially a soup. The fajita veggies were low, so rather than wait for the new stuff to arrive, she scraped the bottom of the container and put the oldest, smallest bit of onions in my bowl and called it a day. When you order for delivery, that they say is free, through the App, they charge more for the food and charge a service fee. Then 99% of the time when i order a Salad with Faijita veggies and vinaigrette dressing, they don't include the Faijitas or the dressing so I am stuck with Rice, Meat and very little lettuce. Very dry! Never a note or a phone call, that they don't have what I am ordering, apology or and kind of a credit! Can't talk to a person for any kind of customer service, as there is none these days! They want you to chat with "Pepper"! Ha ha, what a joke! You get no where! They basically ignore what you say and offer you a free drink as their way of making it right. I didn't order any drinks, nor do I ever for delivery. Missing a main ingredient of a salad and salad dressig, is not made better by a free drink offer. This location sucks! I have been to this location a handful of times and it's consistently regrettable. On several occasions the rice is under salted or undercooked. Today, in addition to the under salted rice, there were a couple small pieces of bone in my bowl from the chicken. I understand this happens from time to time, but the consistent issues from this location is telling and not likely accidental. The full meal was haphazardly thrown together and not of the quality I've come to enjoy from chipotle. It's been a downward trend, unfortunately. This is one of the worst locations in my area, but not the only one I've received subprime food. I need to continue to remind myself not to give this location a chance in the hopes it will get better. It doesn't and it's finally prompted me to review it - something I don't enjoy. read more

Picked his bowl up out of the bag and had juice all over the floor and table. It will most certainly be a long while before I try visiting this location again. *Update: The store remade my husbands bowl, when he picked up the new bowl the manager wasn't available. However when everything is said and done his new bowl tasted sour and we end w up throwing his bowl in the trash so that was a waste of money. Lesson is cook dinner myself next time. read more

Walked in and only saw 8 people in line so I was happy I could get in and out. Wrong. Between each person they were filling online orders. Most were very large. While waiting to place my order they were completing an order. The last item was a burrito. They were very low on rice and that poor sucker got a tablespoon of rice. Place my first two orders that did not contain rice. My third item was to have white rice. She said we are out. Said I'll wait till they bring some out. Wrong again. They were OUT of rice period. It would be an extended period of time before they could cool some. 45 minutes or more. I said forget my order. They said well here are your two items. I said forget the entire order. OSHA needs to check this place out, immediately. They opened ten minutes late, after a line started to form outside. As a small group of people crowded in, there was a girl running around quickly putting chairs on the floor from where they were upside down on the tables. The very nasty dirty tables, that is. The tabletops were still gross from the day before, uncleaned.The floor was disgusting and slogged with food debris as well, no one had bothered to sweep or mop. I saw the young man acting as chef put on his latex gloves to begin handling raw meats and cooking... only to use a massive knife to cut the ends off of every finger so he could physically touch the meat he was handling! Unsanitary! In the span of order #1 of the day ordering and me (order #4), I saw multiple ingredients get mixed into each other in their waiting bins. Hope you don't have any allergies! Their corn chips were cold and chewy, telling me they were expired. The CHILDREN that work here need a functional adult to keep things running correctly. It is a nasty, dirty, unsanitary and ingredient-contaminated little hole in the wall that should not be open AT ALL until some re-training has been done! Where to begin.... Poor customer service at off-peak hours. It's never a group effort, always that one incompetent person working that ruins the experience. I have been here numerous times, it's on the way to my house from work. One time, I was asked if I wanted any lettuce on my burrito, I answered no and she proceeded to put a handful of lettuce on it. After that "oh shit" moment, she offered to take the lettuce off of the burrito. I said "yes please do that," and she went and scraped off half of the lettuce, the other half had adhered to the sour cream. The proper thing to do would have been to make another burrito, but that wasn't an option for her. I paid and left and contacted Chipotle later about the incident. They sent me a free burrito certificate to apologize for the incident. My next poor experience took place an hour ago. The person working on my burrito left after putting all of the salsa on it. She didn't wrap it up, she literally abandoned it in the assembly line. This was after her extensive chat session with some of her friends eating there prior to working on my burrito. Luckily the cashier came to the rescue after a long wait. Very poor customer service from a handful of employees here that ruin it for everyone else. This is by far the worst Chipotle in the entire Twin Cities metro area. The place is filthy, the employees are rude and poorly trained, and there is always a wait even when there shouldn't be one. Locations like the Apple Valley Chipotle can ruin an entire franchise's longevity. I'm a devote Chipotle patron and usually end up driving to Eagan for my fix even though this location is less than a mile from my house. We basically walked to the counter and waited for 10 minutes while employees just kind of wandered around casually. As I sat wondering what the on earth was taking so long I noticed a few people who were waiting for online orders too and they didn't look happy either. Finally a worker came to the line but instead of greeting us or at least explaining or apologizing what was going on just started slowely working on the 3-4 online orders that were stacked up... after waiting another 5 minutes of standing at the order spot we decided to just leave. Most of the workers just acted like they didn't have a care in the world.. no sense of urgency whatsoever.. my question is how did we walk into a place that had almost no line and wait 15 minutes without even being acknowledged as they casually put together orders that were way late for the online order folks? What the heck were they doing the whole time? Definitely not serving their customers and because of that we (and others) took our business elsewhere. read more

Seems like there needs to be a new change in management because it's really frustrating going to this location. Unfortunately after today, I have to give the 1 star review. They were so poorly understaffed and the manager couldn't even come up to face the upset customers. There were only 3 employees that were dealing with in person orders (which the line was out the door), online orders, and doordash orders. I wasn't there very long, but you could just tell how frustrated everyone was. And at one point when the employee said he'll get the manager to cancel an order, he came back a few minutes later with a sticky note telling them to just call back later. Meaning the manager was in the back just not doing anything. I hope the owner or whoever is hire up gets a new manager for this place. I wasn't shocked with the overall review. read more
