I don't even know where to start with this Chipotle experience... it was honestly terrible. I ordered a bowl and somehow ended up with basically NO meat in it. Like, how do you mess that up? That's kind of the main part of the whole thing. On top of that, the girl behind the counter seemed completely out of it. She wasn't paying attention, didn't really seem to understand what was going on, and I had to repeat myself multiple times just to get a simple order across. The whole place felt like it was being run by a bunch of kids with zero supervision. Then I finally get my food, and my bowl is literally cold. Not just "not hot," but straight up cold like it had been sitting there forever. Nothing tasted fresh, everything felt thrown together, and it just made the whole experience worse. For the price you pay, you'd expect at least decent service and edible food, but this was just disappointing all around. Definitely not going back to this location. read more

I stopped at this chipotle last night to pick up two meals. The first meal was supposed to be chicken, sour cream, lettuce, queso and corn salsa. The portion of chicken was very small- maybe 6 pieces, if that. They had no lettuce. I asked the young lady behind the counter if I needed to wait for it. She said no that they had nobody to cut lettuce. I asked her if she was able to cut lettuce- she said she didn't know how. I went in at 5:30 on Sunday night and they had no fajitas veggies and a worker asked for white rice and was told it would be 30 minutes before any was ready. The manager came up to the counter and I questioned him about the lack of food prepared. He told me I could cook or go to another Chipotle. I went to another Chipotle. Not only did they have plenty of food prepped but it was clean! I won't be going to this one ever again and I think this manager needs some schooling on how to talk to customers. Terrible experience at your Coronado, Blue Springs, Mo location. There was little rice that had clearly been there awhile. The pinto beans looked like dog food, the steak was almost empty, the carne asada was burnt (very little in there). When I asked if there was more, I was rudely told no. Then later there was no steak either. Shortly after, people in line were told no rice. Every table in the place and the counters were filthy dirty. The place doesn't look good and the staff ignore you when you come in and doesnt say they are out of anything. First, my order wasn't ready when it was supposed to be. They deleted my order and had to re-pull it back up to make it. The food was cold. The chicken burrito bowl had no chicken, I asked for light sour cream on it and it was drowned in sour cream. The burrito had no steak only rice, sour cream and beans. The steak burrito bowl was mainly rice and sour cream. The chips were stale. The customer service was horrible. The kid at the register threw everything in the bag and pushed the bag to me without the full order in the bag. I wasn't even given my receipt. His customer service is the most disrespectful customer service I've ever had. I gave him my receipt. I tried to call about 10 times the day before when I got the food and they gave me not even two scoops of food. Let me start off by saying the chicken burrito bowl is actually pretty good, BUT... This place is very dirty. There's food that looks like it fell in the floor days ago. The counter top they're making the burritos on hasn't been wiped down (I'm glad I got a bowl). At the register their is remnants of spilled food and sauces, and the worst part was the dead smashed bug on the counter. Even with all that, I got chips and salsa to go with my meal and checked out. Like I said, the meal was pretty good. The chips were oily and plain. The salsa was absolutely awful. It was like oil with old chopped tomatoes in it. I wish I could rate this location with less than one star. My family and I will never go back. We ordered in person and they refused to make my daughter a quesadilla because they only make those for on line orders. When my husband pointed out that he saw tortillas, cheese and a food press, the employee gave him attitude. He said they didn't offer good customer service and her response was quote "whatever dude." I have had a couple of issues with Chipotle in the past, but nothing serious enough to warrant a review. I simply stopped visiting the restaurant because of those reasons. So today my daughter wanted Chipotle and I haven't been there for a long time so I agreed. The order was placed and paid for online. The "promised" time was 8:50pm. My daughter walked out the door with our order at 9:15pm. I sat in the parking lot for the whole ordeal and watched multiple people waiting needlessly for their orders also. The excuse....the online ordering system wasn't sending them the orders. Even more humorous is the time they put on the receipt to cover their delay. "Promise Time 8:50pm; Out the Door time 8:20pm. Out of all the chain restaurants of this type, Chipotle is my favorite. This particular restaurant was very busy! The music too loud, & people taking orders were mumbling under the mask. I couldn't understand a thing. I was just pointing and yelling. It was quite stressful. You'd think they'd turn the music down to a roar or less. That being said, they were fast and efficient! The staff was slow one of team staff members specifically I didn't catch her name but she had a center school district black mask on, with yellow writing and she was nothing but rude had a terrible attitude she was complaining to the manager about being short staff, flinging stuff around, giving customers attitude. My mom and I ordered Chipotle after going to the gym on Saturday night. We got our order placed for 7:15pm pickup at the Blue Springs location and made our way there. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed the large crowd of people waiting inside the restaurant. We went inside at 7:15pm and found out they were still doing orders that were supposed to be done at 6:30pm. You could tell just by looking at everyone's faces that all the customers there were far from happy. The employees seemed like they were in no hurry to get the orders finished. They seemed to be focusing on the customers that were walking in to order in store, as they were pushing through the line while all of the people with online orders kept waiting longer and longer. People were actually getting tired of waiting and left with nothing. I'm going to guess those were delivery drivers or something, because I can't imagine paying for Chipotle and leaving with nothing but who knows. It was a Saturday night and this store only had 3 people on prep line, and 2 people in the back cooking. Nobody was on the dedicated online order prep area that they have. The girl that was doing the cash register seemed to be the sole person trying to fulfill the online orders at one point, and then she got lazy and decided sweeping the floors and straightening napkins was more important. An employee actually took a break at 8:00pm, sitting down at a table eating a burrito he made himself while they were still extremely backed up. Another employee proceeded to take a break to eat at 8:25pm, mind you, it was still backed up and many customers were still standing around waiting for their food. I'm not saying people shouldn't be able to take breaks, but when you have customers that have waited over an hour for their food and we see you sit down with food you just made for yourself while our orders still haven't been fulfilled, that looks like you just don't care. We didn't receive our order until 8:33pm, over an hour and fifteen minutes after we were supposed to have received it. My mom asked the employee for chips and queso since we waited for so long and was told that they "Can't give out free food" which is a total lie because I've been compensated for lessor inconveniences before. I've ordered from a lot of different Chipotles in the area before, mainly Lees Summit, North KC up off of Boardwalk Ave, and the downtown Power and Light location, and I have never had any bad experiences at any of those that come close to the terrible experiences I've had at the Blue Springs location. The staff just doesn't seem to care at times, and it doesn't help that this place is seemingly always understaffed on top of that. I would love to say this is the only time I've waited this long at this Chipotle, but this has happened on multiple occasions, and has happened to many of the people I know, both for in person, and online orders. The management at this place needs to be revamped because they're obviously not cutting it. I would 100% order from a different Chipotle if there was one close, but seeing as this is the only one within a solid 20 minutes or so, I'm stuck dealing with the mediocrity that this location brings to the table every single time I come inside. read more

This is literally the worst Chipotle in the KC area. There are other ones near it that are much better so I highly recommend you don't come to this one. They consistently have something that makes it bad either they need to open late, they are only doing online orders, they are out of stock on a popular item, or the food just comes out sloppy. Not sure why there's so many negative reviews but I usually have a good experience. I do almost always order ahead and go straight to the register the only issue being the app no longer lets me add notes including my side of vinaigrette so I have to remember to ask at the register. But no one has ever had a problem with me asking. I'm not a fan of the cheese dip but you can never go wrong with chicken tacos and chips & guac with a side of sour cream! read more
