Stopped by this Chipotle, and while the food was the usual reliable fare, the overall experience was a bit off. There was a customer ahead of me trying to pay with cash, but the store didn't have any change, which made for a really awkward and uncomfortable situation. The staff didn't seem prepared to handle it, and it delayed the line while the customer had to figure out what to do. Service felt a little disorganized, and while my order came out fine, it was clear that the team wasn't operating smoothly that day. No greeting, minimal communication, and kind of a rushed vibe even though it wasn't that busy. The food itself was okay -- nothing wrong, but nothing special either. If you're nearby, it'll get the job done, but there are definitely better-run Chipotles around. read more

After having a bad experience in Shelton, I thought Chipotle had changed, but this Bridgeport location brought my faith back! The place was clean, the workers were great, and the portions weren't skimpy like the last place. Everything was fresh and generous, just how I remembered Chipotle used to be. Lately I've been noticing that Chipotle has become the popular fast food restaurant to review. This month alone from just the Elites, I've seen 3 Chipotle reviews pop up. 2 from one that apparently just opened up in Naugatuck, and one here. Now, I have in recent years jumped off the Chipotle train. For those who follow my reviews, you might even remember around last Christmas when I reviewed Qdoba that I much prefer them to Chipotle. I think now is a time to have a serious talk about why that is. So I was actually pretty hungry by the time I made my visit around 9 o'clock tonight. Not hangry, mind you, but hungry enough that I couldn't just not eat dinner. Because of that, I made my over as it was a very quick walk from the station. Now, I've been to this location plenty since about 2015, and let me just say that what I am going to talk about tonight is something that hasn't much changed in these years. Let me start with the food I order. Whenever I get Chipotle, hard shell tacos with chicken in them is always what I get. I tend to also have white rice, queso, sour cream, lettuce, and shredded cheese, and sometimes I put Tabasco sauce on my tacos. One thing I have noticed is that from my last two visits, my number of tacos wasn't the same. Tonight I did get three tacos like in past years, but the time before this, I was only given two. I don't know if it's an employee thing or something else entirely, but some consistency in portions would be nice. Of course, tonight they were out of guacamole and lettuce. Guess no Revenge Guac tonight, but I was kinda bummed not to have lettuce this time around. The price at least isn't horrible, and the food was fine. Rice was a bit bland on its own. Chicken on its own is neither juicy nor dry, but somewhere in the middle. I noticed however I did chew on that hard chew that you'd sometimes get in store-bought chicken when I was eating my third taco. Anyway, the whole dish is middie mid mid. Come to think of it, so is the customer service. I can just tell that they are a very "act your wage" bunch of people. Just fine enough customer service to get your food, but I did kind of feel hurried out the door right after I paid for the food. That's about all I have to say about that. But here we arrive at the biggest reasons why I would not recommend going to Chipotle and why you see a 2-star rating here. If you notice on one of the photos I took, the trash cans are overflowing! I took that picture because, let's face it, this location is D-I-R-T-Y! I notice this IMMEDIATELY, and this isn't just from tonight's visit! Oh no no no! This is EVERY visit I have EVER made to this Chipotle! The tables inside are a mess, counters aren't clean at all, and the trash cans look like a landfill. No other fast food place I've been to has ever been this dirty as Chipotle. Not Qdoba, not Subway, not even McDonald's. The only other place I have been to with trash cans this god-awful is at Bradley International Airport! That's how bad it is. The bathrooms aren't much better. When I had to go tonight, there was no toilet paper, and though I could still wash my hands, there was nothing to dry my hands off with. That ain't good. read more

Appalled by the service. I walked in to order no other customers in the building. One of the workers, Brianna, just clocked out for break. I am walking to the start of the line to place my order and she sprints in front of me in line so that she can order ahead of me. Her and her co worker, I didn't get a name but a 5'6-5'8 ish African American Female, start laughing in my face. In my face. I try to laugh it off and then they tell me they don't have anything left I wouldn't want to eat here anyway. It was 6:50 pm and I could visibly see they were stocked with everything. I've actually never experienced anything like this, I have never left a bad review anywhere I have ever been. This was shockingly bad and both of them should be fired. I am still in shock. I don't care what anyone says - I love chipotle and it's one of my favorite fast food meals when I'm in a rush and on the verge of being hangry. I haven't been to this location yet but love that it's so convenient off the highway. It's easy to get to but the parking is a little hard to navigate during peak times. I have to disagree with previous reviewers because I thought the staff was very courteous and friendly. The location was clean and the beverage/cutlery station was clean and organized. The staff member helping me with my chicken burrito bowl filled it to the max and everything was delicious. Will definitely stop by here again! read more

The food line has food slipped all over so you don't even need to ask for what you want cus you're going to get a little bit of everything with every scoop. For what chipotle costs you would expect them to at least train their employees. I don't think anyone is actually in charge. read more

On 8/3/2024 at 3:00 we went to chipotle located at 275 E Main Street in Bridgeport. Keiana took both our orders. We always ask for a small amount of white rice, extra black beans, corn and hot salsa, small amount of cheese and extra lettuce. On both orders our wishes were ignored. I went last and I reemphasized my desire for a small (pequeño) amount of rice (arroz) and cheese (queso), but the server just dumped it on. It wouldn't even close. I told her it was fine, I would open it up to eat it. I had to ask for baskets as they tried to move them towards us without a tray or in a basket. We also ordered two large iced teas. After paying we selected a table and went to get our iced teas. None was made. We don't drink soda so went to the counter. A man was there. We explained the issue. He tried to hand us bottled tea. We explained we don't like it and ordered iced tea and he said "we don't have any." We requested a refund and he continued to argue it was the same tea. Please educate your servers on the difference between brewed iced tea and bottled tea and to be kind to their customers. The food was the highlight and even though the order wasn't done as requested, it was fresh, tasty, and hot. Go for the food, not the service. read more

Ordered delivery and had missing items... tried to get help and all they did was add "free items" to the account which you have limited time to use. It was a group order and one of the team members got nothing of what she ordered... how does that help? Charged nearly $9.00 in delivery fees and tip... the order was half way incomplete. You probably want to go to any other chipotle than this one. You can tell workers don't care meat and rice burnt with way to much seasoning. Ran out of sour cream and the lady running mobile order station didn't want to give any of hers up. Heard the guy cooking the chicken on the grill ask another worker how to cook the chicken should have ran. read more

This place is going to hell. It started off great. Fast, friendly service. They had adult women working and managing it. Now it is terrible. The food is dry, they often don't have anything, and the employees act as if they don't want to be there. There is no clear management. Their attitudes reflect the quality of the food. Finally I went there today on a SATURDAY at noon and they have a sign that says "understaffed, online orders only!" Whoever owns this franchise should fire everyone and start all over. read more

Friendly staff, fresh food, steady flow of customers at 8:30 pm. They make what ever you order right in front of you. (always a plus) The food consists of a Mexican style grill, burritos, taco salads, bowls. It's a nice new option in the city. Been here numerous times, never had a bad meal!! Everytime I've come here i want chipotle so bad. But I always walk out because it's ALWAYS a mess. Just pure messy. Rice all over the counter. Guacamole on the counter and they slide ur stuff through all the mess not cleaning it up. Beans low and dried beans on the side of the pan. There was no chicken, the guy in front of me took it all but the young women (with a sleep bonnet on) didn't inform me there was no more chicken before making my bowl. I just figure someone knows to refill it before it being empty. Then the guy making the chicken told me there's a 7min wait before the chicken was done and plus he had to cut it. Sounds like a 10 min wait to me. This chipotle needs new management. I was so disgusted I didn't take pictures and once again I didn't get my burrito fix. I then decided to get just chips and Guac the didn't have guacamole. The salsa had Guac in the salsa pan. They didn't have salad dressing the last time I came. My friends and I placed a large order from here for delivery and almost everything ordered was incorrect. The two kids meals were right but the four burrito bowls we ordered were not. Ingredients were either missing or ones we did not want were included. This is an issue because of certain allergies!! The Chipotle next to Great Outdoors is receiving 5 stars merely because they are one of the more well organized and operated chipotles around. Food is routinely prepared, the bins are full with a robust selection, and the team communicates well. Further, my experience with Chipotle's in the area are typically disappointing (See my Stratford review) and that may be why this particular location is rated highly by me. However, I will add the food is fresh and tasty. read more

I came and ask for extra rice the lady had a attitude. So then she decided to give me a little scoop of chicken which I didn't mind. However I went back in because she forgot to give me beans I asked for. As I came in I seen her helping another customer giving them attitude because they were just asking for simple things like a side tortilla and sides of guacamole. She then helped me and got upset because I wanted 2 sides of beans. The lady had glasses and tattoos all on her right arm. I believe she was a new employee. The best place on earth, but a little on a pricy side if they can lower the prices I would go there everyday . Not like I already do

So I placed a $400 catering order a week in advance. I ordered 20 burritos, and a $50 side of the chips, guac and salsas. For every two burritos ordered, you are also supposed to receive a free bag of chips and salsa (smaller size). That would be TEN small bags of chips and salsa, which I DID NOT RECEIVE. When I called the store location to report this, the "restaurant crew does not speak on the phone... please chat with Pepper or call the 800 number." Pepper did not recognize my order number and quit our chat. The woman who finally answered the 800 corporate line called the store and the manager flat out denied that we didn't receive the 10 smaller bags of chips as she personally packed all chips herself. As if I have time right now to call and make a false complaint against Chipotle for some freaking tortilla chips.... I've got 20 people to serve for lunch from all around the world and not enough freaking tortilla chips. East Main Chipotle's customer service is awful. And they have lost our corporate business. read more

This Chipotle is very different from all other chipotles I have been to. I have had numerous bad experiences and continue to chalk it up to someone having an off day but it happens pretty much all the time. They don't follow the recipe half the time so I usually end up getting rice and meat with veggies. If I just wanted that I could've save myself a lot of money and made it at home. I drive around a lot for work and chipotle is always my go to but not this Bridgeport one. I just ordered a curbside pick up and it looks like somebody just angrily slam some rice and chicken and cheese in a bowl and called it a day. They messed up my orders multiple times, cancelling and making me place it again online and charging my card a bunch of times. Then when that was finally done the Doordash delivery guy dropped off my order in the wrong building and stopped replying to my texts asking where my food is at. Then when I got a refund (in store credit unfortunately) the doordash guy who dropped off my order in the wrong building got all aggressive with me over the text smh The amount of headaches I've had to deal with from just a simple order of food is unfathomable. This was my first time to any Chipotle Mexican grill. Giving the restaurant 2 stars because the food was decent; not great not bad- but the experience was awful . Customer service is the worst ever! I ordered a salad bowl with chicken - figured it would be a healthy way to go with some protein. The portion size was ridiculously small so I asked for a little extra and was charged for another portion. OK fine want to charge me when I asked for a little extra, I'm OK with it - but mingy portions is not a good practice. As it was dinner time the restaurant was about 60% crowded. But the issue was when the head cashier/ server started flipping out on another worker and yelled across the restaurant and into the kitchen from the floor. It made a family of four so uncomfortable I could see it on their faces. Meanwhile I was told no one else could collect the meal fee but this cashier/server who was screaming yelling- complaining about the silverware bar and garbage. It was ridiculous and my food was getting cold!!!. Eventually she came back and checked me out at the register only to go back to complaining. No apologies and didn't seem to care that I existed. I ate as fast as I could saying to myself I will never be back to this location , and I will not. What a first experience!!!! I contacted Chipotle corporate and they were deeply disappointed in the experience I had. Based on it, they tried to better the situation and I was provided vouchers to another location. Let me start off by saying my coworkers and I come here approximately once a week for their barbacoa tacos. They're our favorite! Today (around 11:00) however, not everybody from the office could come so I offered to take their orders for them. My order was not at all complicated as it was only 3 orders of tacos (mine and 2 others). However, apparently this was overly complicated for the seemingly incompetent staff. I've worked full time in the restaurant industry for six years and recently started a 9-5 office job. I completely understand orders can be difficult, but you smile and deal with it. I would NEVER EVER give ANY customer the disgusting, rude attitude I received today. The girl who took care of me seemed very overwhelmed and unable to listen to my order and kept messing up. It was VERY obvious she was frustrated as she raised her voice at me and corrected me on MY order. I apologized because I genuinely felt bad for her, but once she snapped at me and looked me in the eye for a few seconds with such anger, I lost my appetite. I see on here this is an on going issue. I hope this gets taken care of immediately before business gets pushed away by this sour attitude. I will say the older women who rang me out did turn things around though.
