I have been a fan of chipotle for years but enough is enough. The service has been declining before COVID but now it's disgustingly worse. This review is specifi to Pelham parkway location. They give you a "tiny" bit of food but charge regular prices and the food is HORRIBLE. It doesn't have the authentic flavors I grew to love from this restaurant. The guacamole has got to be the wrose slop I have ever tasted no matter when I order it. The rice has no cilantro flavor as it used to everything has decline In taste accepte the shredded beef which I eat rarely. I am disappoin and will no longer go to chipotl. I've tried it multiple times but tonight is the last straw. I hardly have any rice and I have a veggie bowl that's full of guacamole, lettuce and peppers...I am pissed. The chips are always stale. Very disappointed with chipotle today had 3 orders they all were not as ordered whoever was on cooking duty needs some lessons. The white rice was just that and lumpy, the steak was not as tasty they gave me green pepper which was not what I ordered. I had to look for the black beans and the corn I was very dissatisfied The other two orders were just as bad. I tried calling about 6x and the phone rang and rang no one answered. Since we are not able to go into the restaurant because of the coronavirus I had wait outside for approximately 30 minutes it makes me not want to go back to chipotle until I can see what I am getting served. read more

When they first opened up, there were super long lines, but every new Chipotle has this problem. The employees all seemed new, so service was a little slow, but the portion sizes were extremely generous for a Chipotle. After awhile, service started to deteriorate. I like ordering the chips, and they can't seem to get it right at this location, usually soggy. I have visited this location several times after, and it seems every experience is worse than the last. The portion sizes are no longer generous, they are always out of something, and the staff knows that and complain about that while customers are there as well. I haven't been able to get my fajita mix for my past four experiences at this location. They are lucky there are not many options around here. read more

Better than the one on 56th and 8th Avenue that's for sure. Unlike the people in 56th, they take their time (albeit a bit slowly) and they were really nice for me, that's for sure. The only thing is they keep leaving me big chunks of avocado in my guacamole and i'm like "are you serious???" Whatever. It's the closest one towards me, so that gets a star. Another 2 stars goes for service, but it stops at 3 because of the guacamole. read more

The workers here are horrible, they consistently miss something in the order , each and every time. The food in the morning all the way until 12pm is all dried out reheated leftovers from the night before. They never include utensils or napkins in their take out orders. Their covid system is horrible , they have 1 person giving out orders while other orders sit on the table, get cold and you wait for an order that is just sitting there. The portion sizes are ridiculously small compared to every other chipotle in the city. I love chipotle but I avoid this location as much as I can. I take an extra 20 minute drive to Hutchinson if I want Chipotle. I do not like whining and complaining but this location is a consistent offender. I gave this place numerous chances and they disappoint me 8 out of 10 times. If you must go here, do not order before 12 pm or you will get yesterdays leftovers, do not order past 12pm be prepared to wait at least an extra 30 minutes after promised time and another 20 minutes to be handed your food which just sits there. I am glad there is a Chipotle in the Bronx. Not just one but three in the Bronx. This is the closest I can get to during my lunch hour. I ride my bicycle to get there from my office. It is faster than taking the Bx15 or Bx17 bus. I don't have to trek to Manhattan all the time for a Chipotle meal. The staff is friendly. The line is long, but it's not bad. read more

I've been to many Chipotles on the east and west coast, and this one stands up the same as any other I've eaten at. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not so much, but I've yet to have a really bad experience here. This location is right in front of a bus stop, and Fordham University and the Metro North station are directly adjacent to it, so the lines can get crazy long at times, but that happens at all Chipotles in my experience. I've noticed when they're super busy that the dining area doesn't get cleaned well, which is kind of inexcusable-- someone should be in charge of that. Sometimes they're slow, other times very quick. It's a mishmash at this location and it really just depends on when you happen to be there. I've been in and out of there in 5 minutes, and other times it's been a 30 minute ordeal, but I put up with it because it's close to my house and I am a hardcore fan of their burritos. Overall, this place has been fine for me. I only give it a 3/5 because I've noticed a couple times that the rice seemed dry or maybe undercooked, but other than that I've had no horrific experiences with the food. I'm a vegetarian so I can't speak for the preparation of the meat here, which has apparently been an issue with some customers based on prior Yelp reviews. read more

It's a shame that there isn't an option to give zero stars on here. As a student at Fordham University, this location is my go-to off campus option. There are a number of issues I have experienced with the quality of service at this location. The only way to order here is online, which really frustrates me. I've been told that it's a COVID-19 policy, but other Chipotle locations in NYC allow me to walk inside and order the usual way. I have a lot of allergies and feel more comfortable watching someone put my burrito together. In addition, this policy discriminates against those who don't have access to a bank account. While the online order policy may sound like a minor inconvenience, it's so much worse than that. Instead of the usual pickup shelf seen at most Chipotle locations, all the orders are sitting on a table right behind the glass window. This results in customers crowding in front of the window trying to get the attention of an employee inside. When an employee opens the door to hand someone their order, the other customers try to get ahold of that worker. The main issue is that the employees often disappear to the back of the restaurant for extended periods of time. Instead of having someone stationed at the front to hand out orders, they prefer to let their customers stare at their order through a window with no way of obtaining said order. The purpose of ordering online is to save time by skipping the line. Whenever I pickup from this Chipotle, I have to set aside additional time due to the inconsistency of the service. Also, the order is rarely ready by the "promise time." I usually show up about 15 minutes after my pickup time and even then, it's not always ready. Other Chipotles put napkins and a fork in their online orders, but not this one. All of these issues have somehow made my favorite fast food option seem unappealing to me. While I've always been annoyed by this Chipotle, it's what happened to me today that prompted this review. Earlier today, I picked up an order and brought it back to eat. Unfortunately, the burrito bowl in my bag wasn't what I ordered. It was actually someone else's order! The sticker sealing the bag had my name and the correct order details, but the inside of the bag did not correspond with that information. In the past, there have been instances when my chips and salsa were missing from my order, but this was the first time I had a problem with my main course. I had to call three times before I got through to someone and they didn't seem to care about my situation. I kindly asked if they could somehow compensate me for this silly mistake. The best they could do was simply remake my order, which was given to someone else by accident. They also told me I could keep the other order, which frustrated me because I'm allergic to dairy. A bowl full of cheese and sour cream wasn't exactly doing much for me. The employee I spoke with assured me that my order would be waiting for me when I arrived. I have a short lunch break and I wasted the majority of that time as a result of this debacle. Anyways, when I returned to Chipotle, my order wasn't there. I managed to get the attention of an employee and handed her the fraudulent order. She then walked to the back, and I assumed she was going to grab my correct order. About 5 minutes later, she held up a small piece of paper in the window, which had my order info. I signaled a thumbs up and after another five minutes she came back with my order. When she handed it to me, I knew something was wrong. The bag felt way too light! My tortillas, chips, and salsa were nowhere to be found! After I gave the order back and explained the problem, I made small talk with a fellow customer. She told me that her order was missing chips and queso, and that she had been standing outside for 20 minutes waiting. Finally, the employees came back and handed me the rest of my order. I barely made it 20 feet before I realized that the tortillas were still missing. Once I collected the rest of my order, it had been well over an hour since I first picked up the wrong order. I didn't eat lunch today. I barely made it to class and it was on an empty stomach. It should take less than 30 seconds to pick up an online order, not 30 minutes. To those employees I see sitting inside without masks, leisurely going about their business, I suggest you step it up. I can find a group of third graders that would do a better job. read more

I stood right in front of the worker and she pretended I wasn't there for a good five minutes. Once I was served, they moved too quickly and didn't pay attention to detail. The assistant manager named Joanna at this location is very rude and unprofessional. She should definitely be re-evaluated. The general manager assured me that he would notify the closing manager that I would be coming by to receive my refund for an incorrect order. All she did was say I was making a story up even when I showed her my receipt and already spoke to upper management. No customer should ever be embarrassed or yelled at. Horrible service. This place, to me, isn't any crazier than a Manhattan one with the lines. It's in a really high traffic area so I expect it to be crazy between 2pm-7pm. I can't speak to undercooked meats here being vegan, but the food overall is bit salty. My only complaint is that I think this location could benefit from more staff making sure the station and seating area were cleaned regularly. Anyone who's known me for more than 5 minutes knows that I absolutely LOVE Chipotle. If I pass a Chipotle, I go inside. Even if I'm not hungry. I stopped here after work yesterday and what a huge disappointment. I'm generally hesitant when restaurants usually only found in the city or Westchester come to the South Bronx, because the quality almost always goes down dramatically. The girl at the beginning of the line was extremely rude and clearly wanted to be anywhere but there. The peppers and onions which are usually vibrant and crisp were dull and soft. The green peppers didn't even look green anymore, but more beige-ish. The barbacoa was extremely dry. There wasn't even any gravy in the tin like there usually is. The lettuce was soft and looked old. I sat at a table which was dirty. Another girl came over and started cleaning the tables. She then came to my table and proceeded to start cleaning it WHILE I was eating. Not just wiping crumbs off, but literally spraying whatever it was she had in the cleaning bottle 2 centimeters away from my open plate. She then gave me an attitude when I asked that she not spray chemicals on the table WHILE I'm sitting there waiting. I've heard terrible things about this location but decided to give it a shot anyway. Never again. I'll continue visiting the Cross County and Ridge Hill locations. I gave them 2 stars because by the grace of God, I didn't get food poisoning. read more
