(1) ordered through mobile app at 7:59 pm. Waited till 9:30 and they said they are closed and don't make order anymore. I waited 1 hour and 30 minutes and left without my food. RIDICULOUS. I paid and didn't get my food? There are 20 people still waiting for their orders when I left. LMFAO (2) it was only 8:15 pm they are out of chips (3) whole place is unorganized. Extremely low efficiency and bad customer service Never coming back. I would like to file a lawsuit against this failed store. read more

I get it's a pandemic, but the service in this specific location is the absolute worse!! The level of rudeness from the entire staff makes no sense. They are stingy with the meat and very rude and nasty. Customer service is at 2 and the quality of prep of food is at 3/4. read more

This location is a JOOOOOOOKE! We ordered via DoorDash and our order was so blatantly wrong and thrown together it's laughable. And by laughable I mean laugh to keep from going up there and throwing our food at the workers as they leave their clearly miserable Night Shift. It all went straight into the garbage. Anyone that would send food out looking like this can't be trusted. I truly wouldn't put it past them that they did something to this food. Neither of the bowls ordered had corn, lettuce, or salsa. One is missing pinto beans and the other has black beans and shouldn't have any beans at all. That bowl also shouldn't have sour cream yet, somehow, the sour cream takes up majority of the bowl. Kelly is extremely rude to her staff member today. I guess they were short staff so they felt pressured to move fast, meanwhile I believe a new hire was doing her absolute best. Kelly was being very mean to the new young lady that's part of the "team" in front of customers creating a uncomfortable environment for everyone. The young lady was not only embarrassed but discouraged. What ever position Kelly is she needs to be demoted ASAP , she is not showing leadership skills at all. Yelling at staff when they are doing something incorrectly is not an option . You simply teach you staff how to be bette, that's leadership skills. Worst "service" I ever received. Location was short staffed and mad at the customers for their shortage of workers. Staff was rude, lied about there being a "Cancel Order" option on the Chipotle app in order to get customers to leave since they were 40 minutes behind on making orders. Then they kicked everyone out at 7:30pm (nowhere near the time they close) and made everyone wait outside in the cold for their orders with no ETA of when the order would be ready. This chipotle has consistently terrible service especially if you go at any time when there's any semblance of a crowd. I placed an online order for pick up, and 30 minutes later after the promised pickup time, my order still isn't ready. I find out they lost my order somewhere which doesn't make sense since I had confirmation on my app. This happened me another time, when I waited an additional 30 minutes for a pickup order. Total disappointment, the base of the whole meal was missing - we were given tiny portions of whatever meats and beans they had left, no veggies, no hot sauce, a few tiny shreds of lettuce. We were told we'd have to go on Uber Eats for a refund and throw the food away. I've never had such bad service with Chipotle. The last time we came to this location they got our order wrong, too, and the guacamole was made with unripe avocados that still had pieces of the pit attached. read more

I never thought I'd review Chipotle but this has to be the worst location in the Chicagoland area. Not only is the staff is incredibly slow but their attitudes make the process that much worse. How can you be slow and have no understanding of customer service. I decided one day to order online instead...waited 10min for my food. I live in Hyde Park and this is the only one near me. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Wow....where do I begin? I have yet to receive, in over TWO YEARS, a correct delivered order from this particular store, on East 53rd Street. Everything is always "out" before 5pm. And they do not even bother to check bag to see if all items are included or all of the CORRECT items are included. I just do not understand why the service and food preparedness is so bad. It's like it needs to shut down; ppl retrained and then reopen with an emphasis on food quality, service quality and making sure your food supply satisfies your demand. It's not hard. Worst place ever!! Rude and belligerent staff!! Food not presentable!! Store ran out of cheese. A male employee came from back to make the announcement, however some orders had already been in motion and basically were waiting Cheese, lettuce, and guacamole when the young man made the announcement. He then proceeded to complete the orders however he asked a female customer if she still wanted the order? She answered him "Yes, but" Then out of nowhere the young woman taking orders asked "But what?!!!" With a confrontational tone!! The female customer and the young man both looked in her direction and quickly turned away as the male employee stated ok, then we will fix them over once the cheese is done in about 20 minutes. But the young woman wasn't done, she came over and took the food from the male and set it to the side, and whispered something to a second female customer, but we could all hear her saying that she was going to give her, the customer, the same rice and beans she just had, and then some curse words. Other customers placed their order to be rang up but I was next in line, but hadn't placed an order because I wanted to wait for the cheese. I stayed in line to ask a question but instead of asking if she could help, the cashier yelled out "chicken bowl"!!! Since I hadn't ordered one, I looked to my left and again looking directly at me, the cashier yells louder "CHICKEN BOWL"!!! I swear I can't make this up!! I told her I hadn't ordered anything, but asked for the general managers business card!! Never seen anything like this in my life yall!! I swear!! Not cold as in cooled down a little, but cold - like it had been slapped together from refrigerated ingredients, including the meat. The absolute SLOWEST Chipotle you could ever go to. I'm not sure how it happens, but somewhere between adding rice and beans and checking out orders get trapped in like a burrito purgatory. No matter how short the line is, it takes a minimum of ten minutes to get your food. I've missed so many buses thanks to this place. All for a burrito bowl. Not sure if it was worth it. I placed a catering order on Monday, May 16 and subsequently received several emails confirming delivery for Thursday, May 19 between 4:45 - 5:00. (The order was for a 5:30 meeting.) When the food hadn't arrived by 5:00 on May 19, I telephoned 1-800-CHIPOTLE. The person put me on hold. After 15 minutes, a different person picked up the phone. I explained the situation yet again, and was once again put on hold. Meanwhile, I tried to call the Hyde Park restaurant, but all I got were recorded messages. There was no way to reach a live person. 30 minutes after my original call, our 5:30 meeting was beginning. I was still on hold and the food had not arrived. The meeting ended at 6:30 and everybody went home. The food -- originally scheduled for delivery between 4:30- 5:00 -- was delivered some time after 6:30. Even though our building was closed by then and nobody was there, the delivery person left the food outside, where it sat all night. Chipotle still tried to charge us! read more

We went to this chipotle 2 times in a row... first time they were out of corn salsa; the second time they were out of veggies for a vegetarian bowl... REALLY??? I was in chipotle on my lunch which is 30 min. They had me waiting 30 min in line before someone finally decided to take me order. As the line started to get longer and longer I finally opened my mouth and said something. The coworkers was busy on their phones, talking, and laughing. When I got to the front I asked who's the manger she some lady stated. Me I asked her what's her name she said Pat. They lady who made my food and cashed me out name was Jameice. The past three times we've online ordered here, the food is usually not ready until 20-30 minutes after they say it will be and often done incorrectly. They also are often out of several ingredients more often than not regardless of time of day. Unfortunately, this is the closest Chipotle to where we live. Hopefully they can make changes in the way they operate to create a better and more consistent experience for Hyde Park customers. read more

Hey it's quick easy Chipotle, what is there to complain about. This location is super fast but yet you won't feel rushed while ordering. Sometimes I feel under a great deal of pressure when ordering in these cafeteria style places, but maybe because it's in a college neighborhood everyone is easy breezy. Ordered my usual steak burrito with pinto beans, no guac no sour cream. Everything else is a yes. I always eat half there when it's available seating and save the rest for later.
