I've had pretty bad experiences here and won't be ordering from the Hyde Park location again. I've had sandwiches that should be ready for online pickup be more than 20 minutes late. The reason I'm writing this review is because I ordered a sandwich through the app today and it wasn't the correct sandwich. When I called the location, I was out on hold. We had a big event and wanted to provide lunch for our attendees. We decided on Potbelly and made a large order online. After our numbers unexpectedly changed and we had a few new requests regarding dietary needs, I called Potbelly to edit the order. I spoke to Monique, a catering manager, who was exceptional! She answered all the questions I had, was able to edit my order more than once to fit our needs (with sufficient time in advance), all while doing so with a helpful and positive attitude. This location continues to be hit or miss. Today it was a miss. I ordered delivery via the Potbelly's website. Unfortunately when you do that, the location closest to you is your only option. If had the choice I'd select South Loop or any of the downtown locations over this one. I always order the Italian with no cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, oil & Italian seasoning. Poor customer service. I came in to pickup Uber eats. Lady working the register on Sunday afternoon on 8/4 watched me stand near the register, waiting for her to finish up with her customer. Instead of asking if I needed help, she ignored me and continued waiting on customers. DON'T bother! We waited 24 minutes from entering to paying for 2 sandwiches. They were SO backed up that my Mediterranean with chicken on flatbread (which was pretty much and TASTELESS, unless you consider cardboard a flavor, and decimated when it went through their toaster oven and ended up shoved under 7-8 other orders that were waiting to be dressed and wrapped). My sandwich cost $7.19, asked for tomatoes, "No tomatoes", so a VERY DRY, STINGY sandwich indeed. This place was full of a lot of unhappy customers, overwrought staff and a manager at the register who overcharged me (added an item I had not ordered). I caught it and he refunded the error back to my card and apologized. It is in your best interest to find another sandwich place because this FAST-FOOD shop is anything but fast! read more

The store was as dirty as the service. No hair coverings. The person in charged complained about not having enough staff then, says she's leaving early. The cashier was terrible. After servicing a customer of non-color with attention and asking if they would like their receipt. The cashier walks away while another customer and I have to wait for him to get a bag of soup, pour it sloppily with soup flying everywhere. He took his sweet time to do this. Nasty! When my transaction was completed he took my receipt and balled it up without asking if I wanted it. I had to stop him from throwing it on the ground. I will be telling everyone.
