    Pastrami and corned beef
    Jason Y.

Probably been 20 years since I've been in here? Sandwich a little smaller than I remember, but still solid for the price. Friendly service, decent parking. Could do a lot worse for lunch if you're near UofC.

Corn, beef, sandwiches, Chicago hotdog, and plenty of sport peppers!

I was just in Chicago visiting my father, so I was able to stop in for a corn beef, dark rye, and get another for the plane back to California. Over the decades, Morris has been a couple different locations but always on 55th They now have a second location a few miles west but I have not yet been Enjoy this photograph of deliciousness!

So this is the "Special". Not even close to anything special. Sliced lunch meat is what it tasted like. Extremely small.

Fresh and clean exterior. Inviting. Street parking. Let's get right to the disappointment. Wife and I opted for the Morry's special Rueben. In short, nothing special. As a matter of fact, can't verify it, but I'd guess the corned beef is simply sliced lunch meat. Flavor... not notable. Size, paltry at best. Save your money. Drive north to Mannys.

Real hole in the wall, not too many tables but it was empty when we went. The food was good but the prices seemed a bit too high for a casual deli spot and the sandwiches weren't that big. I will say the pastrami was super delicious. Recommend getting the #2 sub if you go.

skimpy! this is the front of the sandwich the other photo shows the rear of the sandwich with no meat

i was very disappointed in the quality of the corned beef definitely wasn't vienna. the skimpiest sandwich i've had in my life for 12$ never get food from here

After wedding lunch. Making memories. Eating well.

OMG. I have not had such a good sandwich since Koches Deli when I was in college at Penn in West Philly. Delicious, huge and a great price to boot.

I went here for lunch and had a corned beef sandwich. I was not impressed with the size of the sandwich or the taste. It just seemed too small a portion of meat for a $10-11 sandwich. Also, the beef was thinly sliced, and I prefer chunkier cuts. It just wasn't very good. As positives, the service was fast and the location is good for parking.

Combination sandwich with corned beef and pastrami

My colleague and I ordered lunch from here. She had the Morry's Famous Combination Sandwich with corned beef and pastrami. I had the #5 Morry's Sky High Triple Decker Sandwich, which is turkey breast, bacon and Swiss cheese. It also comes with potato salad and a pickle. I'm not a fan of the potato salad but the sandwiches are good.

Friendly service. Large selections on menu. Deli atmosphere. Size able portions. Loved the polish kielbasa.

We were quoted a time of 20 minutes out. We arrived a little early and the gal at the counter told us it would be a few minutes. I decided to cross over & check out this old world Italian Deli. Conti Di Savoia is small Italian grocery store w/an Italian deli that has w/outstanding & inexpensive sandwiches. When I went in there was a line of people waiting @ the deli counter waiting to place their order. I must have looked confused because the owner directed me & told the line started on the other side towards the back of the store. What I found was an awesome of fresh handmade sandwiches for a very reasonable price. I ordered an 8" pastrami w/mozzarella cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, red onions, mayo, & Italian oil drizzled. What I got was an awesome inexpensive sandwich loaded with/fresh ingredients. Absolutely delicious. After I got my sandwich the owner (I introduced myself (I think his name was Mike) rang up the sandwich. He said they have been there for 35 years. There's also a small dining area in the front of the store where I sat & devoured my sandwich. Like I said this is small Italian store w/a nice selection of products like meats, cheeses, pastas, wine, olive & deli items. I throughly enjoyed finding Conte Di Savoia. The pastrami sandwich was awesome w/a generous portion of pastrami & toppings for a reasonable price. I'm the type of person who who loves finding new places to eat. Most times unless I find great food & reasonable prices I won't go back but I feel like I found a real gem W/Conti Di Savoia. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN.

My only regret is getting the 6-inch instead of the 12-inch because it was that good. Now, I did forget how tough a good hoagie can be to bite into, but honestly, that just made it feel even more real. The sandwich was fresh, filling, and worth every bite. The vibe inside was cool. I came in, they had some good music playing an alternative group from the '90s and I was greeted right away. The gentleman who took my order over the phone was pleasant, and the service felt welcoming. The price was decent, and there was parking when I went, but keep in mind I stopped by on a Tuesday after 4 p.m. The only thing I wish they had was more drink options besides soda, I wanted a water and there was none that I seen. Overall, I can't wait to go back. If the vegan sandwich was this good, I already know the other hoagies are probably killing it too. Bronzeville Hoagie and Panini definitely needs to be on your list.

I ordered this with it in mind that I would give my husband one of the hoagies. Timing wasn't too long between order and the to-go being ready. I ate my first hoagie in the car on my ride back to the home. It wasn't messy and was deliciously seasoned with condiments. I believe it was the corn beef. Yum. We also enjoyed turkey ham and turkey hoagie. The bread was just right not too soft and not too tough. However it held up with the Italian seasoning applied to the fresh veggies. All-in all, enjoyed my hoagies. If in the area again, would try the Italian beef or one of the panini. I had a solid hour drive home so I didn't think those would hold up in the car or be easy to eat in the car. I did. Like that that they had a tuna melt and those are my jam.
