You see how little the steak is chopped..look at the size in-comparison to that tomato piece

My husband went to the Whole Foods in Englewood today! I haven't been that way in along time. I saw it was a Chipotle in the same mall by Whole Foods. I consider myself a Chipotle Connoisseur. I have been eating at Chipotle since we only had one location in Chicago which was about 20 years ago. Now there's lots of them. I have been to just about every last Chipotle in the city except for this one!!!!! So I tried them out today.... Walk in a noticed they had an armed guard in there just in case! Everyone had on a mask! Cool! I was like third in line. Took no time for me to order. I ordered a steak bowl to go. The lady who was the cashier told the guy who was about to make my burrito not to be "heavy handed" on the steak. *massive eye roll* As he asked me what type of rice would I like I noticed line was messy. I don't know if they just had a rush or what but it was very messy. Then I noticed when I said I wanted steak. It was finely chopped. Chipotle usually has nice pieces of steak. Not at this one! I mean the pieces of steak were a little bit bigger that the tomatoes in the tomato salsa. The steak was overcooked too but not tough. The steak was very salty! Like extremely! Flip side my food was fresh! That's why I gave them three stars!

Vegan = bowl, mixed beans, guac, (corn + tomatoes) no tofu cheese or sour cream. +chips

This Chipotle is ALWAYS on pointe! The service is impeccable, especially for Englewood. I'm always satisfied when I leave & happy with my order. Once, a lady dumped lots of the soy on top of my beautiful bowl... But the manager immediately made it over, even though I protested. He was right! I was actually happier with the bowl the way I'd wanted it! So the gesture was much appreciated! I will continue to return here for their Fresh, Fast, & Courteous Service!

If I could give them negative stars I would. It started off like any other online chipotle order. We set our pick up time as we have always done in the past. We selected the location that was near our home, but we've never ordered from before. So my husband arrives at the location and walks up to the order pick up as instructed by the app. The manager Geritha told him they didn't receive any online orders for us. So she asked him to read off the order. He began to tell her what was in the bowl and tells her the rice at the end. She made a smart remark that he didn't tell her the rice as she was closing up the bowl. His response was that he was not done reading it off. She filled my bowl completely with rice. She put steak on the lid and gave me all barbacoa it was suppose to be half and half. My husbands bowl was only filled about half way. It was at least 1/2" away from the rim. It looked really good though. Until we bit into them. Then they were so salty that we could have had a heart attack. It was inedible. Mine was so spicy and salty my dog wouldn't touch it .I had to also throw it away. Apparently she put the wrong sauce on it and I have a stomach ulcer. I can't eat spicy food. So I called and asked to speak to the manager. Apparently Geritha was the one who made our orders along side her manager. She wouldn't let me get a word in without interruption. So I began to speak over her she accused me of screaming at her. She lied and said that she didn't have an online order at 11:15 am. She can pull up the cameras. The only order she had was a big black guy. "That's the order I'm calling about your describing my husband so you did have an online order," I stated. "Why did you lie?" She said, "I didn't." Okay so I had him tell me what he wanted on the bowls, she said. I told her that he shouldn't have had to tell you. Then she started yelling about her manager is riding with her. She wasn't rude she has good customer service. My husband hung up the call. She called me back. I told her that we weren't going to argue. At the end of the day it was an online order that had a set pickup time. The order should have been made to go when he came in. She told me no they don't do that there. The make them when the customers come in for pickup. I asked her if she could please let me finish talking. She told me NO. She then said I can bring the food back. I said no thank you cause I shouldn't have to make another trip. She hung up the phone. I order chipotle very frequently through order pickup and Uber eats. I have never had this experience from any other chipotle. If you live near this location you would be better off going to another location. I love the chipotle near Ford city mall. I was never given an opportunity to speak without being interrupted or given an apology. I'm not going back up there to get new food cause I'm not going to continue to argue with someone that doesn't listen. Plus they might be petty and do something to our food. No thanks. Please save your time and frustration and travel to a better establishment.

My visit here was actually my first time ever eating at a Chipotle. I have no complaints about anything, such as the food, and service. After walking in to this location, i was greeted, and treated well! I was a little picky due to not being familiar with the menu, but the employee worked with me pretty well. One of the positive things in the Englewood community area, along with Whole Foods, and Starbucks. The last thing i want to do is bash it! I visited during rush hour, and everything went smoothly. Items were replaced when they ran low, and employees used proper sanitizing routines when returning to the food line. As for returning to this location, you can best believe that i will. I'm sure with time, it will get even busier at this location. If you're in or near Englewood Square, i recommend stopping in. It's well worth it, and my bowl was great! Enjoy!

If I could give this chipotle 0 starts I really would I placed a takeout order through doordash and received this I've never been to a chipotle where they're so stingy with their product I received no utensils or napkins if you want your food made correctly and actually get what you paid for I don't recommend coming to this location and if you do do not place a takeout order didn't even have the courtesy to fill my bowl

Chipotle on 63rd and halsted served me this

Ordered online asked for double meat and guacamole. I didnt get double meat and the guacamole was brown. The meat was also cold. I wont be going back, and will send a compliant to the health department.

The quality of the steak and the hoagie roll (has to be fresh and from Philadelphia) being of utmost importance. The first time I had a Charley's cheesesteak (Rosemont Outlet mall location), was due to a recommendation from someone. I'm always hesitant about getting cheesesteaks from random places, because they're just not good. I got the chicken cheesesteak and to my surprise, it was tasty. The chicken was seasoned, bread was good and the fries were crispy. On this particular occasion, I visited the Charley's located on 47th street, in the Lake Park Plaza Shopping Center. This is a strip mall location with other eateries and a laundromat. While there's parking, it can sometimes get crowded, and is always filled with cars. Upon entering, there are a few tables, but the space really isn't setup for dining in . On this occasion I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, fries and a peach lemonade. I do suggest ordering on the mobile app to save time. The mobile app also offers coupons and points earned for purchases made. (A few weeks prior I had a free drink on my account for my birthday. I went in store to order, and had to go back and forth with the counter attendant about if the drink was for a lemonade or a milk shake, as I wanted a milk shake. It was for both, but I wanted a milk shake. All of this would've been avoided if I had ordered online. I hate going back and forth with people, which is why I prefer ordering fast food online- so I don't have to deal with people- but I digress). I had ordered online so didn't have much interaction with the counter attendants, on this occasion. However, my interaction with them was pleasant. The cheesesteaks are pretty good, nice serving size with portions that leave you full. I've also ordered boneless chicken wings in the past, and they, too, were tasty. My favorite cheesesteak on the planet is Max's in North Philadelphia. But when in Chicago, Charley's is my go to for a cheesesteak in the city, for the meantime.

We split the large old School Philly sandwich and a special Kimchi version. I like that they change it up with different flavors. We didn't get any sides or fries with it. The bread is nicely seasoned and toasty, not hard, and the meat and cheese were tasty. We did carryout, they do not have much in the way of dine in. I saw some juices and ice cream, which I will def try when it's warmer out. The staff was professional and friendly. I think there is a tv in there, as it is a 10 or so minute wait for each order. They are in a mini mall so one could wander around, but next time I will order online.

Most of the comments call out there poor customer service as well as questionable, predatorial behavior. Stop having people unfamiliar or afraid to interact with people in roles where they have to INTERACT WITH PEOPLE. Typical stuff, not being respectful when presented with ordering mistakes, trying to charge people for silly things like bags for each sandwhich, etc. Things that NEVER happen in white areas. Absolute trash. Poor quality bread that was like a doughy shake. Got the large. Poor quality bread made it a diabetic fright. And it was disgusting. Meat was carne asada. I got a sandwhich that's supposed to be shaved meat. The Sweet Steak is a specific sandwhich. Imagine drinking an Horchata that was made of coconut milk. That's how weird it is to have you try to use your recipe for sweet steak. Isn't from your particular culture. Obviously you couldn't be bothered to research and respect the culture that this sandwhich comes from. Like you're going to tell me how it's supposed to be made? Cruz? Are you from this planet? A coconut horchata, or a buttermilk horchata, or a mayo horchata, or a cauliflower horchata - none of these are what you can get at 99% Mexican restaurant. Is carne asada usually ground beef? Just coming from SoCal it's like you're being deliberately obtuse. Really hope you take the time to think about this. It is absolutely bizarre hermano. You look absolutely bizzare to people with time to think about why you are choosing to make these decisions. Moreover it's disrespectful that you're not even trying to figure out why things are popular the way African Americans cook it. Weird and Trumpy to say the least. I avoided another spot owned by my non-black brothers because of the tendency to get frozen fried chicken in retaurants. It's unfortunate that this place is attempting to profit from the name Home of the Hoagie, a historical black female owned restaurant, yet they only supplicate the experience with poor quality. Didn't even know Home of the Hoagie used cheese. Quality is subtle like that. This place had their cheese sloppily added to the sandwhich. It's like they don't care about the community they are serving this crap too. It's really a bad look. Another "Hoagie" shop I didn't go to was also because the people making the food didn't seem like they even appreciated the food enough to replicate it with the care and degree that made their shop famous. If Mr. Cruz wants my business, take the time to replicate, at least the quality of Home of The Hoagie. All that great customer service doesn't help if your going to sell Greasy Spoon to make that quick dollar. Brought my friend from Europe here thinking it might be anything like Home of The Hoagie on 111th. You lost out on those dollars. Lost on some international good will. He's told his countrymen about Home of the Hoagie. Wanted to see if I could save some time by trying out your spot Cruz. Ended wasting time as the food was sooo terrible. Just feels disengenuous that you take the name to profit from it yet can't respect WHY they are considered the best. It's hard work that got them the coveted title. Else your name would be Cruz's Soul Carne Asada. Threw the 2nd sandwhich in the garbage without opening it. Fries both were the pre-frozen cheap stuff. Fries that I asked for sauce had hardly any! lol This is a greasy pop up. It won't last. Somebody got money, hired people they knew but failed to do anything else that could help their business. Home of the Hoagie is older than me for a reason! They are good. Even after the owner passed away. If you call ahead there's still some wait. After this horrendous experience, I'll wait in the long line, shut my mouth and like it.

The wings were cooked to perfection--super flavorful with an amazing texture. The fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly! Apparently, there's this thing in Chicago where they drown your fries in sauce... OMG, DELISH! The sauce can definitely be overpowering, though, so if you're not a fan of a lot of sauce, I'd recommend asking for it on the side. All of the workers were very friendly, and they worked quickly to get everyone their food. This is a to-go BBQ joint, so be prepared to grab your food and head out. It's a fairly small space, but it was clean. I will say the line was pretty long, so pack your patience, but trust me, the wait is absolutely worth it. Even with a long line, the staff kept things moving and got everyone's orders out surprisingly fast.

Also, I got both items with no sauce. They typically come drenched in sauce. Paid $9 for a quart of sauce on the side -- not everyone in my crew wanted sauce.
