I recently had the opportunity to visit Chipotle on Whittlesey Road in Columbus, GA on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 around 1:35 PM. Below are photos of my review and my receipt. A Steak Bowl with a dollop of Misogyny and Chauvinism! On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at approximately 1:40 PM, I visited Chipotle on Whittlesey Road and encountered a series of unprofessional interactions with two male staff members. Upon arrival, I was greeted cordially outside by Chris (later learned he was a manager) who was preparing for an incoming storm by placing the patio furniture away. However, when I entered the experience took a negative turn after my Steak Bowl was prepared by a nice and professional young lady. The cashier, a petite slender man in his late 30s with curly hair similar to mine was dismissive, rude and caustic. It was baffling and unprovoked. He failed to greet me or provide adequate customer service. When I attempted to pay by phone, he became abrupt, making incoherent remarks and dismissive gestures. His lack of communication was evident as he merely pointed at the scanner without explanation. His demeanor was as if I had disturbed him from his stupor. Very important there were only two customers in the restaurant at the time of my order. No one was sitting in the dining area either. My order remained on the counter for 3-4 minutes without being bagged. The cashier turned his back to me and began another task, leaving me waiting without acknowledgment. This behavior was noticed by another employee, a man in his 20s with a nose septum who commented on the cashier's lack of attentiveness, saying "he left you hanging." He didn't offer an apology for his colleague's vile behavior or inquire with his colleague why he didn't place my items in the bag. When I requested the cashier's name to file a complaint, the employee with the nose septum refused stating, "I can't do that to my boy." His response was flippant and unapologetic. I looked the employee with the nose septum in the eyes and stated I will find a member of management to address my complaint. He begin gibbering how why he couldn't do it. It was cringeworthy how ignorant he was in his defense of his rude colleague. I left the counter to exit the restaurant. As I attempted to speak privately with Chris about the issue, the employee with the nose septum intervened, positioning himself between us in a domineering manner. His behavior was confrontational and unprofessional reminiscent of a defiant teenager seeking parental intervention. I told the employee that he made it very clear he would not disclose his colleagues' first name and I accepted it. I asked him to please not to interfere with my private conversation with Chris a manager. I said nothing more until the employee left the area. Chris spoke to me privately and addressed the situation, apologized and assured me it would be handled. As I was leaving, I observed the cashier making light of my complaint at the counter. This person really doesn't need to be a gatekeeper or a cashier. There are some elements of his behavior I will share with empirical evidence with your corporate office. As I was driving off from the back of the parking lot area, I witnessed the employee with the nose septum ranting to Chris a manager at the back exit door of this Chipotle. Chris looked stressed and annoyed. The employee appeared to be shouting at Chris. This experience fell far below acceptable customer service standards. The lack of professionalism, communication, and respect displayed by these two employees was concerning. Their behavior appeared to stem from underlying biases, reeking of misogyny and created an unwelcoming environment particularly for female customers. It's worth noting that the young lady who prepared my Steak Bowl and Chris demonstrated professionalism and courtesy throughout the interaction. I recommend that management address these issues promptly through comprehensive training on professional conduct, customer service, and gender sensitivity to ensure a positive dining experience for all customers regardless of gender, phenotype or orientation. * The name blotted out in red is NOT the slender petite rude male cashier's name hence the reason covered. read more

I asked if they had any more chicken because the container was empty, she nodded her head like what are you asking me this for. I asked for the new red sauce and realized this when I got home. The people are soooo lazy! They constantly run out of food and sauces and won't remake them or take their time making them. The two girls making to go orders were laughing and talking about walking out while they were making the orders. Only one girl was making the food while the others just watched and joked around. In last three visits we've encountered "no tortillas" (for burritos), no guacamole, no pico, no sour cream. I understand they say things are made fresh... but you need to make enough to get through the day... and certainly not run out of premade items. The store is not clean. The area where they mix the food together is not wiped down. There is caked on, dried, crusty food around the pans. If my children didn't love Chipotle, I would have walked out. They didn't wipe down ANY tables. Every time I hav been to this location, there are NO NAPKINS. This place is awful! Before their recent changes, there was always a line out the door and they ran out of certain ingredients. They have now decided to only take online orders AND they close at 8 pm. I placed an order online yesterday at 745 (keep in mind I had no knowledge of this) and when I went to pick it up I was turned away. They told me that they stop taking online orders at 745 and they close at 8. I don't understand why these changes are not on the website. However, this is a small white sign on the door stating that they are only taking online orders. Furthermore, I was told to go to the website for a refund, but I couldn't exactly find where I was supposed to go. Thus, I downloaded the Chipotle app and live chatted with an associate to get my refund. This is absolutely ludicrous...every other restaurant in town is back to operating normally, but not Chipotle. Impressive Chipotle. Trying to have a relaxing night in with the family? No worries, Chipotle will screw it up for you. We ordered our food to be delivered, and it got here late. When we checked, my meal was missing. The driver said that they "have been screwing up orders all day long", and wanted us to check to make sure the order was fine.
