GO ANYWHERE ELSE I would rate them NEGATIVE 5 STARS. My wife and I have been to this Independence, KY location on 3 specific occasions recently because we love the new chicken (when its hot). We ordered 3 tacos and a burrito bowl on all 3 visits. When we got home (5mins away) to eat, all of the food was cold and the tacos were sunk into the foil they half wrapped and were sunk under a pool of what was supposed to be light hot sauce and light sour cream...and to top it off..yup it was cold. When calling to report this, the store does not have a direct number and puts you on holf for over an hour, makes your repeat yourself and wants to argue that its my fault that we didnt see them make a mess of the food or "check the temperature" before we left lol...are yall serious?! So, 3rd time was enough for us. Just a friendly note that this is how they treat the customers that put money into their business..hence, GO ANYWHERE BUT CHIPOTLE, INDEPENDENCE, KY ITS HORRIBLE ALL THE WAY AROUND *and btw, good luck getting money back. Finally!!! A new restaurant in Independence that you know you're going to get quality good food! I've been waiting for this location to open up for some time and happy to have a local Chipotle. No shocker here, the food is good, the restaurant is very clean, and the staff were accommodating. My best hope is that as time goes on that the high standards of cleanliness and quality food stick around. I know we've all been to those typical chain places that go down hill after time. I don't think Chipotle will do that and just grateful to have this option closer to home. I'm a huge fan of the steak bowl, love the guacamole, the queso is fantastic, and don't think you'll be disappointed if it's whatever you try. I normally visit this chipotle in the drive-through the young ladies or the young gentleman are always friendly. My food is always done just a few times that they might have forgotten like guacamole, but the food is good. They're friendly at the drive-through but tonight I was just having problems with my phone app so I decided to go in there was three of us in line. A young lady was trying her best to fill their online order and another young lady on the other side of the counter that you couldn't see, but when the lady with the ponytails that were braided and curly hair came in from the door with young man picked up a tray that was on the dining table table walked around to the back of the counter, laid it on the table, roughly spoke to the other young lady saying what the fuck this wasn't cleaned up. yes I stood in shock as I was watching the young lady that was making food. act as if she was scared that's when the other young lady had walked out and took the tray and the lady with the ponytails walked around the corner that you couldn't see her anymore. The customers in front of me looked at me. I just shook my head and yes, I walked out in shock that you would speak to a young person or even your employee in that manner. read more

I haven't been to this location in a while and now I remember why. The food is subpar at best. The meat is fatty and unappetizing. The rice is over cooked and if you are getting carry out the portions are very small. I have been to several of the locations in town and this seems to be the norm for all. I will say that I did not have to wait long and the workers were all very pleasant. Not sure I will go back to any of them. read more

I was so excited when I heard this location was open because my daughter and I absolutely love chipotle. Then we ordered takeout and went to pick it up via the chipotlane and that was a mistake. First, the staff isn't competent and if they get your order right then you are lucky. Whomever designed this location should be punished because the parking lot is the smallest, most congested area ever. On the side, where the chipotlane window is...there are parking spots, but when vehicles are parked there...you can't get past. It is ABSOLUTELY the worst setup in Chipotle history. Very disappointed and that is why when I want food from them...I chose another location! I do not recommend this location. read more

Do not order chipotle online at any location! The portion sizes with online pickup orders is half you would get watching them assemble a bowl or burrito in person. This is a ten dollar meal at least give the right portion size! read more

This location is THE WORST Chipotle ever. The food is awful in quality, freshness and presentation. The staff is nice but seem to be totally lost, no structure and or training I would assume. Like other reviews, the flow of the restaurant is not user friendly inside and out. The architect needs to go back to school. read more

This chipotle was the most foul chipotle I've ever been to, like ever. Starting with the protein the chicken was full of some sort of tissue that wasn't meat and when they realized they were running low on carnitas they took a "fresh" batch out that was sitting in murky water idk if it was seasoning but it did not look appetizing. The workers all seemed nice but it's like they didnt know how to manage, there wasn't very many customers and the lady preparing my food proceeded to tell her co-worker she was stressed I could tell my how messy the topping area was. I asked for salsa roja on the side and before even trying it had realized it wasn't fresh because it had gas built up in it and I didn't even bother to get Guac because it looked like straight up avocado that had just been somewhat mashed. Gave a 1 star only because it won't let me give 0. Don't use the app to order through the store. I ordered online and my order was still not ready for pickup after 50 mins, I went to cancel my order on the app and was awarded with free chips and salsa for my trouble. Was not refunded for my barbacoa guac burrito. Won't ever be ordering through the app ever again absolutely terrible and you can't even talk to a real person, they just make you text a robot. read more

The Independence location is always out of items. My son and I go there once a week and it is common for them to be out of rice or both types of chicken. 3 different occasions we left and went to Ft Wright. Last night we were in Independence and again they were out of the al pastor chicken. I made a comment to my son about not coming back to this location, not because they were out of al pastor chicken, but because the portion wasn't even a full spoon full and then the girl serving interrupted and began to tell me how it was just the end of their peak time 7:30. I told her it has been our experience it didn't matter what time you came to this location they would be out of something 75 percent of the time. I was looking forward to Chipotle opening in Independence. It has been a complete disappointment. Everyone in my family that lives in Independence has had the same experience there. read more
