Independence location is a good operation in my experience - food is consistent - service is good. You get what you order, generally hot and seems freshly made. It's Wendy's so if your familiar you get what you expect. I really like Wendy's chili, its supposedly made out of the burger patti's - I've heard rumors that it's Wendy's practice to use leftover or overcooked patti's to make the chili - rumors you know but it still tastes good. The spicy chicken sandwich is one of my favs too - Burger Kings version just put some spicy sauce on their sandwich that was a bit disgusting. Wendy's actually has the flavor and heat in the breading and sandwich itself - it's got a little kick and is quite good. Had only 1 issue in a number of visits over the past few years where I didn't get a burger I ordered from the drive thru - managed to catch it before leaving the parking lot. Went back in and the manager apologized and tossed in an extra cheeseburger for my trouble. I doubt that is standard practice but made a happy customer and shows service and the customer experience is important to them. I have not had really any other issues. read more

Very horrible and rude customer service!!! The eye rolling was best part!! I worked 12 hour shift in 90°weather and did NOT feel like cooking. I ordered $50 of food. I double checked my order like I ALWAYS do..... I told the crew member that I may have over looked it but can he double check the fries. He was very rude and rolled his eyes. I ordered three junior, bacon cheeseburgers, two of which were supposed to have no lettuce and no tomato on them. I'm not sure why I even have to give one star on this, my food was not even cooked. Fries and nuggets have a timer (almost impossible to undercook), but this food looked like it was dipped in the oil and put in the box. Fry box so soggy and French fries looking like wet noodles. This place is the buttcrack of Wendy's. Just an absolutely terrible place to go nowadays. I remember being a kid and coming here all the time with my grandma & legitimately enjoying the food. So, went in to Wendy's this evening...my Dau In Law likes their food..me, I ordered the burger with an Italian flavoring, sort of a pizza burger and garlic fries...the burger was warm, not hot, and the cheese whatever tomato sauce was fucking inedible...the fries were wet and soaked in wet garlic liquid I suppose and there was a puddle at the bottom of the fries container...the whole meal tasted like crap and WAS NOT EVEN HOT...SO, I should have stuck to a burger and reg fries...I screwed up this time...BUT HEY THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE...ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE AND SOMEBODY WAS COUGHING FOR ABOU6 10 MINUTES STRAIGHT COVID MUCH..ANYWAY..UGH! read more

I'm not sure what is going on with this location but last night I went through the drive thru and ordered an Asiago Chicken sandwich with no bun. I immediately heard over the intercom in the background one of the workers say "no bun? Who the **** does that???" I paused in my order, shocked and the order taker asked if that was all. I said I needed a moment to let her coworker finish cussing. There was just silence. I finished placing my order and pulled around as directed. When I got to the second window to get my food there was a hound man inside holding a broom who yelled another curse word very loudly. The lady at the window and I both just looked at each other but she said nothing. I asked her who was managing tonight and she said Amber and Jess (I think). Seriously sucks... something always goes wrong. I go to order a #6 and a salad tonight. First I'm waiting at the speaker for 5 min before being able to order. Then an additional 20 min,only to get the wrong food. Another 5 minutes to get the right drinks and bags. I get home and find out there was no salad dressing. So here I am salad in hand unable to eat it because I have no dressing. I call the store and ask the manager on duty what is going on, because the service was honestly ridiculous. He replies with there is only 4 people. Which is stupid because that should be plenty of people to make sure an order as simple as mine is correct.
