Pretty much every Subway is the same in its clean, no-frills setup. While there are composite/plastic (i.e., look uncomfortable) booths, I have yet to see anyone dining inside. Perhaps they do, but I've never seen it and it seems like such a waste of space. Anyway, upon entering, the Sandwich Artisans promptly greeted me with a "Welcome to Subway." They weren't busy at the time and I had a minute or so to contemplate the order. Ended up ordering a turkey footlong and a 6" turkey sub. (I personally love leftovers, so mine was the footlong!) All of the ingredients appeared to be very fresh- including the spinach and tomatoes (which can be less fresh at other locations). Everything moved smoothly down the line except that I sometimes felt a little uncomfortable asking for a little more of this or that. Still, the experience was overall very positive. Sat in line behind two cars, which took approximately 11 minutes to order, and when I reached the front and told them my online order, I was told they were out of the item I was ordering, and they were no longer service breakfast. No other option was presented to make things right, just "I'm sorry" I understand cutting off breakfast at a specified time. In many cases, customers sacrifice their time to visit your establishment, and from arriving well before the deadline, and patiently waiting, I wasn't served.

Tonight was a busy Friday night at La Fiesta. We sat in a booth a bit removed from the boisterous atmosphere. There were birthday celebrations going on and it can be overwhelmingly loud, depending on where you're seated. Chips and salsa- especially the salsa - were delicious. We both also enjoyed a House Margarita - decent. (An upgraded Margarita could run $25, so stuck with the House.) My friend enjoyed her Beef Quesadilla Supreme. I had ordered a "Popeye Quesadilla" with cheese and spinach, plus added grilled chicken. Both meals looked delicious when they were served. When I took my first bite, the entree wasn't very warm, but worst of all was overly salty and greasy. When our server checked on us, I told him the chicken was too salty for my taste. I'm not sure if there was a language barrier but he turned and left us to tend to other tables. I tried to move the chicken out of the quesadilla and focus on the spinach, black beans, and guacamole. Unfortunately, the strong smokey salty greasy taste of the chicken permeated the rest of the quesadilla. When our server came to ask if I wanted a box for the meal I had partially eaten, I again told him that the meal wasn't to my liking but that he could box it up for my friend- in case her son might eat it. At this point, our server motioned for the manager. I explained the situation and the manager quickly picked up my plate and said he would have it remade; I agreed as long as it was only cheese and spinach without the chicken. It was served and I took a bite; it was good and not salty. However, we were ready to leave so I asked our server for a box to take it home. I appreciated the manager's actions at the end of our meal so that I can look forward to good leftovers tomorrow. However, it was too late to save me from a truly horrible meal tonight. I enjoyed the upbeat atmosphere and catching up with my friend. I will note that the outdoor patio was packed and there was festive music playing. It would be difficult to have conversations but seemed that people were enjoying themselves. Personally, I will take a break from La Fiesta, but may find myself back there at some point.
