I'm very hard to fill-up, but they manage to do it here. The large portion sizes is what ultimately keeps me coming back. Owner & management - please keep it up! Kind staff. Very accommodating. Treated like family while dining in. Newly remodeled dining area that's especially nice. The ONLY knock I have is a 7% fee for dining - which appears to be a new charge. Food is prepared on a paper plate and served on a plastic tray that you return when throwing away trash. The additional expense to eat in is not justifiable. There is also a 3% non-cash fee. Be prepared to spend an additional 10% menu price if you plan to dine in & pay with card. All awesome, all very good, all very filling. The atmosphere itself definitely let's you know a college campus is nearby, if the huge bell tower didn't give it away (you can see it from the parking lot). Definitely a good place to go anytime of year. Right before a UT football game in the fall, right after a walleye game or you just feel like grabbing a slice, which, you can actually buy! I never know if the produce is fresh, old, or tainted (sprayed chemicals). Fresh Thyme, though 15 minutes from my home, seems to have a decently stocked produce section and a variety of organic produce as well. I find the pricing to be hit or miss, but I can pretty much get all of what I need for a weeks worth of cooking here without having to go anywhere else. I wouldn't come here for everyday things such as TP or dish detergent, but for veggies and organic goods this is it.

It's a very busy area. I had this restaurant on my to-try list based upon positive Yelp reviews. However, the Health Score caught my attention. I believe there were 38 health violations. Based on a comparison of other restaurants, this is far below average and I therefore feel justified in scoring this restaurant accordingly. I would not go to a restaurant with this negative rating on any day or time of the week. That, of course, is my opinion based upon the Health Department's evaluation.
