I guess I've gotten used to the dirty tables and floor at Chipotle restaurants - if you want a clean table, you'll have to clean it yourself - but the Monroeville store has taken this neglect to a new low. Some food items (peppers and onions) were not available, no ice in the soda machine, out of iced tea, empty napkin dispensers, etc. There were six employees working, but most of their efforts seemed to be in filling pick-up orders. read more

Horrible. Ordered on line. When we got home found very small servings. The burrito bowl was missing sofritas. There was note saying they were out. When I went in there on 2/19 I got a chicken bowl. I got back to my seat and there was a half cut dead stinkbug on top of my lettuce. Never has this happened to me before but it just leaves a bad taste for me for eating at this place and location again. I read online and this happens when they don't wash the lettuce and it seems this happened here. They were nice enough to give a refund and some coupons but to me this isn't enough to eat here again without thinking about the dead bug in my bowl each time read more

This location is great! They handled the lunch rush SO well. They're fast and efficient, and people were in the dining area cleaning the entire time. I was super impressed. First let me acknowledge that this is a rough time going on for all businesses. However, issues with this location have been happening prior to the covid-19 pandemic. I have on numerous occasions had mobile orders made incorrectly. Items have been missing, or wrong ingredients applied. It seems that to-go orders/mobile orders do not receive the attention as if the customer is standing directly in front of the employee. Lastly, inherits nights I have gone in, tonight for that matter, the restaurant was out of chips. There have been nights I've decided to order, specifically for chips, as I personally think chipotles chips are better than any store bought tortilla chip, only to learn that there are none available. I've been to at least 5 different Chipotle locations and this one is just as good as the others. I've never had a problem with the staff. They're polite enough...you only encounter each person for a maximum of thirty seconds, what exactly are you looking for?? I do not go to this location often. But I figured I would give it a shot and see how it has improved over the years since they opened. Unfortunately, I was definitely disappointed. First and foremost, this operation is extremely inefficient. They only have one person making the food. This of course slows everything down considerably because as that person is moving down the line, someone else could be starting the next order thus improving throughput. I got both chicken and steak on my burrito. The steak was beyond disgusting. Parts of it felt like they were undercooked and there was a lot of fat. It pretty much ruined the entire experience. I will most likely not be returning to this location again. I will maybe try another location just to verify that the issue is with my store. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Chipotle food is quality, the concept is great, the price point is good. Anticipate a wait here and at probably any location. I eat here at least once a week. When dealing with the general public, and creating a customer order each time, there will always be delays. This location has some great employees and they are for the most part very friendly. This location could be a little cleaner, the staff's emphasis is definitely on prepping and serving food. The dining area can get a little rough. Overall, if you are looking for a casual place to go, want good portions, for a good price, Chipotle is a good option. read more

This place is so slow. Don't bother ordering online because you will still have to wait there while they make your food. The people working there will ask you a question and then immediately start talking to someone else. Then they either pick the wrong thing or ask you again what you wanted. Very frustrating. You might be the only person in line and it can still take 10 minutes to get your food. The staff will leave the counter because the back can't be bothered to bring up new items. This is by far the dirtiest chipotle I've been too and I was quite shocked.I LOVE CHIPOTLE. The floors and tables were very dirty and it made me not want to order because appearance reflects the place as a whole. I have only been to a Chipotle once and to this one in Monroeville, I am not a huge Mexican food lover. I wanted to try all the fuss my friends and family have made, they love it. I really loved the Burrito Bowl : Chicken, Cilantro-lime White Rice, Black Beans, Lettuce, Cheese and Sour Cream. The bowl was hot and ready made in front of me within minutes. The issue with the long line is true, but it moves quickly. What I don't like is the community share dinning room, much like some of the newer McDonald's that I have been in. It seems to be the new easy dining room design. I don't care for it, and others have companied about the same thing. I will get mine to go next time. The dining room was dirty and it seemed there was no cleaning staff, and if they are waiting for the customers to clean up after themselves alone, that isn't going to happen. The straws, and condiment items were not stocked and it just had a dirty feel about it. I will get mine to go. I have never used the online ordering system, seems that they have not worked out the bugs on that issue either according to previous posts. read more

I was in line for 13 minutes. While in line I observed that every single African-American who ordered food received two heaping spoonfuls of meat while every Caucasian received one spoonful of meat. My wife placed an online order and I picked it up. I paid and went to a table to check the order. I found that my 4 year old son's order was not correct. I took the bowl to the register area and said it was wrong and I would like it remade. The store manager, Robert March, picked up my food threw it in the trash and instructed me to, "have a nice day". St this point I was shocked that he didn't offer to remake my son's food. When I asked if my food was going to be remade he told me to leave the store. Then proceeded to call the Monroeville Police. He refused to give me the name and number to his district manager. When the police arrived he lied to them stating that I threw my food at him and walked in the kitchen area. I told the police that there are cameras in the store and to check because I did no such thing. I asked the police to get the district managers name and number and they did. I left and called the number that I was given for the DM. And wouldn't you know Robert March gave the police the wrong number. The DM was no help either. Be warned that if you choose to go to this chipotle they may take your money, throw your food away, and call the police on you. The Manager Robert March has s huge character issue and has no business being in a role that gives him any kind of authority. You've been warned read more

Dirty. You would expect the same standard at all Chipotle but this one (my first time here) was dirty. Even when I pulled into the parking lot I noticed cans, cup lids, and trash all around. It was a beautiful day...someone should be cleaning that up. As I stood in line I noticed the dirty and greasy grill and food spilled around their work station as they slid my tin foil and food through it. Why I didn't get out of line at this point...I don't know...late lunch... hungry and little time. The side of chips in the bag were a tiny amount and the side of guacamole had 2 very large chunks...not sure how it fit in that tiny container but it was not mixed like it should have been. Servers were friendly enough but their aprons stained and dirty. Floors were Ao noticeably dirty. It was not crowded when I arrived so I don't get why this place was neglected. Perhaps no manager on duty would be my guess. My burrito was okay...Just seemed like the ingredients were not spread out correctly and I got quite a few bites of just rice, just beans etc. I like Chipotle but this one is a mess. read more

Very impressed with the service of this specific Chipotle. I went here for lunch on a Sunday and the line was incredibly long. So long in fact that it was difficult to get into the door and to squeeze my way to the back of the line. I was pleased and surprised that when it was my turn to order, all of the employees greeted me with a smile despite the chaos. The employees were focused on me during my turn and seemed to work very well as a team. The food was exactly what I expected and was fresh. Even though I ordered my food to go, I noticed that there was more than enough seating available if one wanted to stay and eat. Also, the dining area was kept clean which was also surprising considering how busy it was. This chipotle always seems to have a long line, which is why I've avoiding going to so long. This Chipotle should be shut down for good. I highly suggest that you visit a different location. This one is a giant STAIN on the brand. I have had multiple bad experiences at this location so it has been at least 3-4 months since I've had the courage to return, but sure enough, my latest experience was the WORST of all time and it guarantees that I will never return. I entered at a "non peak hour" but sure enough, there are 20 people in line and they all look angry - maybe it is because this time, like every time, the line is moving ungodly slow. There is ONE worker on the line and the rest are seen in the back slacking off and not having a care in the world - very LAZY staff. I decided to wait it out and my goodness was this a horrible decision. When I finally get up to the counter 20 mins later the lone worker tells me that they are out of brown rice (rest of staff seen laughing and playing around in the back without a care in the world). Next, she tells me they are out of chicken and will be a wait (see staff comment) but then she says that there is half a scoop of chicken left only and she could give me that and half the steak as a substitute but I would be upcharged, despite their incompetence - joke! I say forget it just give me the steak. I get up to the register the dude turns around and goes "looks like we are out of chips" (see staff comment). I left disgusted and I'm never going back. Oh yeah, I got home and the rice was undercooked and the steak was overcooked and I find out they forgot to but lettuce on the burrito. A fitting end... Not sure who the manager is but do yourself a favor and clean house. Hands down the worst chipotle location I've been to in the United States. read more

Worst Chipotle experience I've ever had. Ordered online, was promised 6 for food, but it was 6:40 by the time we left. Place was a mess, food and napkins all over the floor. The worst part was there had to be 8 staff members working at the time, but only one was on the front line. A new inexperienced cashier was working the register and constantly had questions for other employees. This was prime rush hour for dinner and multiple employees kept walking from behind the counter and just stared at the line of customer both walk-in and online order. There had to be 10 people waiting for the online orders. It was a nightmare to watch. And every single customer was there so long that they got to see the whole thing unfold. Needs to be much better managed. They had 6-8 staff members and only one girl making food for walk in customers. One employee was on her lunch break and eating food right in front of customers. Never had a bad experience. Food is always good. The only thing bringing this review to a 4 instead of a 5, is the wait time at this location. I expect a line at any chipotle, but I've had to wait at this chipotle for 20-30 minutes usually. They also seem to run out of rice every time i'm there. Staff is VERY friendly and accommodating though and I will continue to go here for dinner, but only if I'm having a late dinner to avoid the line. read more

I love chipotle and frequent this one a lot. the employees seem to be far below average, making no effort to be nice or to pay much attention to your satisfaction with the order. they typically don't look directly at you while taking your order and often ask you 2-3 times to repeat what you said simply from lack of attention. they seem much more preoccupied with their own side conversations instead of taking the customers order. read more

The employee who was trying to refill everything was so flustered that she knocked over another customer's drink. Maybe they were short-staffed, but it's the mark of bad management. I agree with all of the other reviews. Something about this particular location seems off. The staff doesn't seem as friendly and the food doesn't taste as fresh as the other Chipotle locations. Most times, I have to request the workers to give me the food they are making on the grill rather than the stuff they give you at the bottom of the bin. It's a Chipotle, a fast-casual chain restaurant (previously owed in part by McDonald's by the way) serving burritos, tacos and similar fare at reasonable prices. A go to spot for me after a workout across the street at LA Fitness. Here's a detailed review: Cleanliness: (A-) I'm usually in and out and have only dined in once, from what I've noticed the restaurant is generally clean. The area with the fountain drinks and utensils will be the most dirty followed by the tables and floors. Staff : (A) They are reliable and predictably fast (a trait of Chipotle team members). Given there isn't a huge line you can be in and out very quickly. I've struck mini conversations with some team members before and they're all friendly enough. Food: (B+) Sometimes out of stock on various items. If you come during the last 30 minutes they will most likely be done cooking and you will need to chose a substitute protein if they're out of chicken, beef etc. I would like to see more consistent inventory of the sides and toppings. I see someone described their chicken as "burnt", I disagree that's charring from using a grill top and it adds flavor.
