Forgot items in my delivery. Spent 30 minutes being kicked around prompts trying to talk to a damn person. Was directed TWICE to a person somewhere and when asked to speak to a person IN THE STORE sent back to damn bots after they said this was a direct line to the actual store. Never again Chipotle. Sarah and the other girl were terrible cashiers today. I asked for a veggie bowl which is supposed to come with guacamole that I did not receive. I didn't notice because I was asking the other girl about the fajitas That was just put out by the cook. One of the girls. Told me that the fajitas were going to take 20min because they were just put on the grill, but little does she know I over heard her tell the girl in front of me that it was going to be 3min and I saw her turn her back to ask the cook. I didn't say anything at first because I thought maybe I miss heard, but sure enough I see the fajitas getting taken off the grill. I then say something when the other girl was putting the toppings on my bowl and my boyfriend bowl. They both caught an attitude of course and give me this little cup of veggies. The girl proceeds to throw the cup of veggies in my bag. Now I get home and there's no guacamole. These people need to do better!!!!! read more

So i get dinner by ordering off the app ok, I order two Burritos, one Chips with Guacamole, one Chips with Queso and two Large drinks. My Wife gets there to pick it up on her way home from work and there's one bag, she said she looked inside the bag to check to make sure everything is in there and she realizes there's no drinks. She brings it up to the employees there and they go it's in the bag, Which first of all if they could fit it all in the size of bag we got I would have been amazed but they didn't, So she goes on to tell them I just looked in the bag and there's only the food, So they replied with fine then what did you have a small, She goes no both was a large not a small. When she finally get home and we sat down to eat, one burrito was half wrapped and just casually leaking in the bag, the bottom of the bag at this point looked like we got Philly steaks instead of burritos and the guacamole had a broken lid, thankfully the stuff is thick or it would have also been all over the bottom of the bag as well, and both drinks a large sprite each was nothing but carbonized water no syrup at all. Needless to say I am not pleased, The food was good but I shouldn't have to jump through hoops like this just to get away from having to cook something, just so I have more time with my wife we both work and at different times of the day myself at night and her in the morning we really only get dinner and off days to spend time together and I don't enjoy having to do it when I'm grumpy because it's not enjoyable for either of us. I understand times are roughs jobs don't pay what they should to balance out the cost of living, but when service is this poor I don't want to spend my money at places like this. read more

Their bag used for chips says that they are fried every day, which is a lie. I got my lunch there today at 1215pm, and my chips were very stale. They keep have poor quality of one item or another. I wait months to go back in hopes that things will improve, but they just don't! read more

Worst service No one was at the counter when we walked in, we had to physically call out to get someone's attention, and then they seemed completely annoyed that we were there 2 hours before closing Also we're told when I ordered 3 tacos that the only way they do it now is build your own "more expensive kids" tacos. Even if I had a kid what parent wants to order food to have to build it for their child?!? I'm going with no one. On top of that the guacamole is brown all the way through, warm and tastes like they used rotten avocados. Glad we spent $30 for 2 people to have dinner here tonight for it to be horrible and cold! This Chipotle is the one I usually come to, they always make my bowls perfect. Decided to make an order as I was getting close from Michigan and once I pick it up, get home, mind you I live 10 minutes away from here. I opened up my bowl and I wish they could see the damn face expression I made because wtf! I usually save half of my bowl of how stuffing and it literally looked like I had already eaten half of it. A brand new shiny Chipotle is here!! I frequently work in Portage. For years I have been asking the locals, "Why isn't there a Chipotle in Portage?" They always tell me, "Well, there IS a Chipotle in Merrillville......" What? Merrillville is like 30 miles away and that is way too far for my lunch break. So today I was soooooo excited when I arrived in Portage for a two week assignment. A shiny new Chipotle!! My first time ordering at Chipotle on Hwy 6 in Portage was a pleasant experience. I went with my niece, who recommended it. I had the pleasure of placing my order with apprentice, Da'Shawn Boyd, who was not only patient but also very personable in a respectable way. My first -time order was on him, as he offered. On 2 separate occasions I have had to wait over 30+ minutes for my mobile order. The first time I waited 38 minutes after my scheduled "pick-up" time, the store was really busy so I didn't hold them against it. The next time I went there was nobody in line, and it still took them 33 minutes after my "pick-up" time to get me my food. 3 employees were pulling there masks down to chat and had one poor girl on the line by herself for all our mobile orders. Dinner while daughter works for an hour. Never a bad quick meal here. I get the bowl with sofritas, as I try to do vegetarian as often as I can. The mild sauce/salsa is good! The long lines are a testament to how slow the employees are at this location. I know it's new, but every time I have visited, most of the workers don't appear to have a sense of urgency, sometimes chit-chatting or not paying attention. One time, the cashier just wandered away. I have been to busier Chipotles with shorter lines elsewhere. There are also big issues with the proportions. Last time, I got a burrito bowl and they gave me a ridiculous amount of rice and a tiny bit of beans and chicken. Halfway through my meal, all I had left was a pile of rice left. Shiny, new, and great food as usual. If you're new to Chipotle, it's a counter service Mexican place with s really simple menu, good food sourcing practices, and a fanatic customer base. The long lines are a testament to the food quality, and don't worry, if moves fast. Like most fast food/fast casual places, they've figured out what brings people in. Unlike most such places, they stick to what works and don't try and bring you in with the gimmick of the week. The guacamole is especially good. read more

If I had the option I would leave negative stars. We placed an online order (how do you mess those up???) and out of four bowls not a single one was correct. Yes, we double checked and we had "our" order. On top of not a single order being correct, we ordered extra of multiple items and bowls were LESS THAN HALF FULL. What?? Final nail in the coffin is that everything was cold. We were in the store watching them make it and when we took the food out of the bag (not five minutes later) the food was not even hot enough to warm up the bottom of any of the bowls. The temps of these ingredients certainly cannot be up to ServSafe standards. We will be reporting this place both to the health department and the better business bureau. Disgusted and disappointed. After all of this all they wanted to offer us was store credit, which was absolutely unacceptable as we will not ever be coming back to this establishment. Excellent veggie bowl and great service!!! I also love the new rewards card, already received free chips and salsa and I am working on achieving my free bowl. The lines are long, predicated to great food and specialized service. Nothing greater than being able to customize the toppings you want, but it takes a few minutes longer. We'll worth the wait! !!! Upon calling Chipotle to fix the mistake, I was told they can not deliver two more orders of chips and for me to contact door dash. Door dash didn't pack the order; Chipotle did! I've been to a few chipotle's but I'm on the fence about this one. I understand that it just opened and there may be some training kinks to workout but why not stay closed a few more days to get your staff fully trained to move the line fast. I waited 20 mins in line one day. But I will have to say the next time I went I used the app and got my food quickly. The third time I went there I only waited a minute or two so they exponentially improved their training and sped. I will continue to visit this store. If you haven't used the app for ordering yet try it out. Hair be ready to wait a half hour because after checkout that's the earliest you can pick it up. read more

It would be nice if they greeted each customer with a hello, is that too much to ask?
