I've had both good and bad experiences here. To sum up the good, I've MOSTLY always gotten generous portion sizes (sometimes almost too much), my food has always been hot, and there's a FEW of the workers here that are really nice. The bad, on multiple occasions I've gotten fajita veggies that were practically raw. Like eating a raw bell pepper... I've found a small bug in my food before which didn't really upset me, just made me question how well they clean their lettuce, especially with their not-so-great history of this. I can agree with everyone else posting that the workers here DO NOT know how to roll a burrito correctly. They're either rolled too loose and completely fall apart or there's tears in my tortilla which again makes them fall apart. Wait times are ridiculous sometimes. If you manage to get here when there's not a line then consider yourself lucky. If there's a line, expect to wait 15-20 minutes. I've had some RUDE customer service here from a few workers. I consider myself to be a pretty nice person, always saying please and thank you in a nice tone, so when workers get my bowl passed to them and they LITERALLY do not say a single word (when they're supposed to ask what salsa I want, cheese, sour cream, etc.) it's really off putting. I've also noticed inconsistencies with portion sizes, some people give you easily double the amount of rice or beans you're supposed to have, and others completely skimp you on meat or veggies. Overall I like the food I get here and I don't expect this extraordinarily over the top customer service, but the customer service I do get is pretty meh. read more

I came here and I am the customer that asks for weird off the wall things that are not usually on the typical menu and I'm sure that makes me difficult to deal with at times although it's never my goal to be difficult! Mariana showed excellent customer service when I came in and asked to have my burrito grilled at the last second. She made sure she did it EXACTLY the way I wanted it even though others were offering different ways to serve me. She went out of her way to ensure that I was satisfied with my special order and I will be coming back again for sure. Food was tasty. Just as I wanted for a Saturday night dinner. This review is primarily for the catering services. Huge shout out to the manager, Nick (?), who was able to accommodate our very-last-minute catering request for a party. We had less than 24 hours notice as is customary but the manager was kind enough to honor our request! We ordered the two-meat option with chicken and steak, for 20 people. It came with crisp and soft tortillas, pinto/black beans, brown/white rice, and all of the different salsas/condiments (including guacamole) that you would find in the Chipotle line. They also provided everything we needed for setup and serving, too. It's packaged very well for easy transport. I highly recommend the catering if you're looking for an inexpensive and quick option (they ask for 24 hours notice and you can order online - I think they can also deliver, if needed). Also, I eat lunch here fairly often and the food is consistently good, there is always seating available, and the employees are friendly. Recommend all around. read more

I love Chipotle. In fact.....given the choice i would probably name my first born chipotle. So you can imagine my excitement when i heard that there was a Chipotle opening in my neighborhood. Once i saw the Chipotle sign go up during construction.....my mouth started to water. I had a mental countdown until it opened, and lo and behold....on September 12th (two days after it opened) my heart fluttered as i drove through the Junction to park and get a much needed and much deserved dinner. As i walked in, i felt like i was home. Angels were singing in my head, i felt like i might cry tears of joy. There was a long line, but i knew there would be. I'm not the only west seattlite with the hunger for this stuff. Line was moving slower than usual, my stomach was rumbling. I reminded myself "its okay Rose, they just opened, you will be fine". After what seemed like an eternity, i placed my order for a burrito bowl to go. Rice? Beans? You bet your ass i want rice and beans. Meat? Carnitas, meat from the heavens. Then.....things turned dark. The girl on the line put barely a half portion of meat in my burrito bowl. I felt sad, like maybe she didn't hear the certainty in my voice? But before i knew it, she pushed the bowl along to the next person. "Its okay....." I reassured myself. "She's new, its a new store". I asked for corn salsa, which is my favorite. I would take baths in this stuff if i could. Then....like a sharp knife to the heart, she barely put half a spoonful in my bowl. I felt betrayed, what is going on??? Surely this cant be a trend!! Moved on to cheese. I have an unhealthy obsession with cheese, i felt like this would surely save my sad little burrito bowl. This girl, this girl who could have given herself the redemption she needed.....sprinkled some cheese into the bowl. SPRINKLED. WHY??? Oh god what did i do to deserve this?? On to sour cream, NOT EVEN A DOLLOP. Guac? YES I WILL PAY EXTRA FOR GUAC. A sad....pathetic....little spoon full. I felt empty inside. Like the world would end. Because i am a self proclaimed Chipotle addict, i will return. You can bet your bottom dollar. But please, for the love of all that is holy, please fix your portions. I must put a review for my favorite fast food chain and one time for the haters on Yelp. So many negative people and as you can tell by my reviews I am on the happier side of life. When in for lunch and staff was super friendly, ordered a salad, (they did not forget my dressing unlike other locations) I got double meat and the chicken was super fresh and juicy. Chips and Quac were fresh as well. All the tables were clean and love the modern design of the lights and tables. I will be back every week! read more

Walked in on a Sunday evening and the first issue was that the girl behind the register was not wearing a mask. It looked as though she was clocking off for the evening but it doesn't matter. If you're behind the counter or in the establishment at all, you should be in a mask. She was walking around the kitchen talking to other employees. The sign on the door literally says you cannot walk in without a mask so why aren't the employees following that rule? Now onto the ordering. There were 5 people in front of us and no one was being helped because the staff was working on mobile orders only. Once we got to the front to place our order, there was clearly no system in place. The employees are placing packaged orders back and forth not knowing whose order belonged to who. Not only that, they are sloppily putting food together. Crumbs and food all over the counters. Do they not know how to wipe down in between orders? Unbelievable and I question the sanitation practices. We got home and found that the meat was cold. It wasn't appetizing. I don't think the employees at this location care or have any idea how to run the store. Not sure I will return. read more

Their give away "buy one and get one free" coupon that I got in my mailbox is such a joke. I've never tried Chipotle before so I gave it a shot. I used the coupon with someone and this gimmick to lure you in and (might) lure you back didn't work at all. Why? The portion that they gave me (2 bowls) is 1 order cut in half. Like a tasting menu. I'm not a big eater myself so I'm not exaggerating. I can attest to that because I checked on other customer's bowls and yes, the bowls that we got was the saddest bowl in that room. DISCLAIMER: This is a review of the customer service or lack thereof present at this specific Chipotle location. I am die hard Chipotle lover as far as taste goes. I understand that this is a brand new location, with brand new staff. Even so, I am extremely disappointed in my experiences at this location thus far. To be told in a line at a "fast food" restaurant during lunch hour, that I can only place TWO of the THREE orders that I had hoped to because the staff cannot handle its own volume is completely unacceptable. And to be told by someone with no apparent sympathy that I should know that orders of such "difficulty" can be placed online, is beyond unacceptable. Calm down good citizens of West Seattle, Chipotle just opened and seem to be doing a good job off the bat. We have gone twice, once when the lines were long, once when there was no line. Naturally, it pays to head in off hours. The food both times was amazing and the service was polite -- they are just getting up to speed, so I assume it can only get better from here. I love the food and plan on making it a weekly stop, if not more. Matador and Cactus will still be my go-to places for entertaining friends, but it's nice to finally have a solid option for quick and easy burritos and tacos in the junction. No offense to the other two Mexican places across the street, but each of times I patronized them, I was underwhelmed. OK, ordered soft shell steak taco, chicken taco, carnitas taco, and chips and salsa. I can't pass judgement on the steak taco because there was so little meat I couldn't detect the flavor. The steak was definitely dry. The carnitas taco may have been good but the pork was so drowned in the cooking liquid is was running everywhere. The chicken taco was actually very good. Chips were fresh but when you ask for mild salsa I don't feel Pico de Gallo meets that expectation. read more

Every digital order from this location is as if they just guess what you want and don't read the ticket they stick to the bag. I change my name on orders to ask they not forget essential parts of my order and they find a way to do it nearly 50% of the time. Portions even when in person are entirely inconsistent. I've been refunded more items than I've ever received from an online order from this place. It's a real joke, and a shame because I love Chipotle. read more

I love Chipotle with all my heart, and thank them for elevating the quality of fast food options in our society! I welcome you to West Seattle... and I'm not any more concerned about food safety here than with other fast food. All that said, this location is pretty poorly run. I've eaten here a good dozen times, and they are routinely out of at least one food item, which I've never experienced in any other location. The staff all seem like it's their first day on the job --painstakingly slowly making burritos with their hesitant, unskilled hands. The line moves very slowly here. I'd be more bothered by this if there were ever a real line, but it's generally pretty empty inside. Nonetheless, the food is only slightly worse than other locations. I can live with a burrito that slightly leaks, and steak that is a tad overlooked. I still prefer this place over a far lesser option, like Taco Del Mar. Still, I hope that one day they'll get their sh*t together and tighten up the quality at this location. read more

I'd like to say I have my ups and downs about this Chipotle, but long lines are expected and I'm okay with it. Why? Because people can end up ordering 5 things, or someone can mess up their own order, or someone just simply can't decide between chicken or steak. Complaints about that don't make much sense to me. However, I will say they need to work on keeping their food up. Lots of times they'll run out and you'll have to wait 5 minutes or so, but since they're new I'll judge lightly. I'm from Phoenix and I can now say that chipotle is the same here as it is down south. Not the best Mexican food I can find when I'm home but when I got a little home sick this afternoon it helped me in a pinch. Still great though! Don't get me wrong the food at chipotle is good it's just not the same caliber I'm used to. Now the service here is absolutley fantastic! People at chipotle in Phoenix are so bitter and sad. This location just opened and there is leeway to be had for that reason, but this location needs to get it together. I've been here probably around 15 to 20 times since it opened and I can recall at least 4 separate occasions where the line was all the way to the door because someone forgot to cook more chicken and it was going to be at least 10 minutes. You will also need to repeat 4 times what kind of rice, beans, and meat you want on your burrito to any of the staff. What the customer service lacks, the food picks up. Even when I've had to wait 25+ minutes to be helped, the food is always delicious. With that being said, I will probably keep coming here on my lunch breaks, but the customer service is unfortunately pretty terrible. read more

Poor service at this location Tuesday night - waited more than 20 minutes in line at Chipotle! It wasn't like the line was out the door either - the staff were just slow. There were maybe 2 people serving customers at a time. I overheard one flat out tell his coworker he was hiding in the back. Finally did get through the line and no tortillas available for my kid's dinner and all out of chips. Plus my burrito fell apart after 3-4 bites. Very poorly managed and worst Chipotle I've ever been to. Showed up tonight to see 7 people in line but none of their orders were being taken because the workers were busy fulfilling online orders. The line then extended to 10 people but some got fed up with waiting and left. I generally love Chipotle, and was really happy when they opened in West Seattle. But unfortunately this location doesn't seem to care about keeping the place clean. Every time I've gone it's been filthy - by far the dirtiest Chipotle I've ever seen. There's rarely a single table in the entire place that's not littered with food debris, it's clear the table haven't been wiped down in hours, if all day. The dining area floors are consistently covered in food waste. If this is how they keep the customer areas imagine what the back of the house looks like! The employees are friendly but completely unconcerned with keeping the place clean. It's a model health code violation, and I'm sure just a matter of time before someone gets sick from the filthy conditions there. Whoever manages the place ought to be fired. read more

If you're a Veteran on Veteran's day don't go here! Chipotle restaurants advertise BOGO free burritos for all Vets with ID. That's not the case at this restaurant! The girl at the register said you have to state you're here for BOGO before placing your order. Did I not just show you my ID? Why else would I do that if I wasn't here for that. That would be helpful to know before ordering according to her. I'm sure 1 free burrito won't affect their profit but whatever I just paid for my food instead. My girlfriend and I came here for some lunch, I noticed the reviews on yelp for it werent all that great, but i mean seriously its chipotle how bad can it be, some people are a little ridiculous on their reviews but whatever lol. The service was EXCELLENT and the manager, whos name i cant remember, was very polite and inviting and made sure everything for us was perfect. Maybe he read all of these peoples bad service reviews, im not sure, but everyone there was great nonetheless, the food was properly portioned, not too little not too much, place was clean, and thankfully there wasnt a long huge line like any other typical chipotle. Parking wasnt much of an issue, theres street parking, and if you cant find a spot there then theres a parking lot on the corner, just gotta pay $2 an hour. read more

Just remember unsupervised teens means phone in back pocket after using, then want to serve up your food. You must remind them to wash hands. Also means working teens unsupervised are standing around when floor, tables and chairs need swept and wiped down. Teens behind counter louder than music, talking above each other at times.
