Here I am again with another review. Google wouldn't allow me to add or make another review based off of my experience today. This chipotle is notorious for running out of needed items for their meals and want to charge us full price with no substitutions or added value. Today I went to pick up my sisters food who's recovering from surgery and decided to add a salad to the order in person. First things first, they want to give you the bare minimum and old lettuce for your salad. I should not have to ask the attendant to remove old lettuce and to put enough lettuce that can be considered a salad. I was informed that there was no vinaigrette or sour cream available. if there's no salad dressing, why are you selling salad and especially with no substitute or option to make it right? Here's the part that's even more annoying, the manager on duty refused to give me her name and gave me a business card that essentially send you to a one 800 number that tells you to write a review online or contact them through the website. How are companies like this allowed to duplicate themselves all over the country and give subpar service and quality food. The cost of food is going up yet they want to give you the least and make no accommodation but they don't have all materials necessary for meals/product. Raeshawn (manager), you know this is a busy location... Why do you all not order enough food or condiments for your food? Also, y'all need to stop serving people old lettuce. I'm from Denver where this all started. This chipotle is on point. The restaurant was clean and the employees were super nice and helpful. I'm here in business and when I returned to my hotel I was surprised. The food was perfect, hot and fresh. Mexican food is not the south's thing. My burrito was really good. They gave me about a rat ration worth of steak when I came into the establishment to eat. And didn't have the decency to spread it on the burrito, ended up with about 2 bites of meat and queso and 4 bites of dry brown rice. The drink options on hand were terrible and the tea was yellow. The food was horrible. The steak and chicken pieces were very fatty. No one knew how to make the Carne Asada Bowl that is advertised on tv. Also the wholesome bowl chicken keto didn't have cilantro, or fajita vegetables, as advertised. Guacamole needed lime. Everything was extremely salty. read more

Placed an order for pick up late in the evening; 9pm, the chips sent were stale. Called and spoke with the manager who stated that the chips were all made at once during the day and by the end of the day they are stale. Lesson learned. Do not order chips after 4 PM. The manager called it a chip Chipol design flaw. Tried them again...another disappointing order; had several large orders of guacamole and quasi and roasted corn, came with 3 small bags of chips, called and told that they ran out of chips and were going to make more but the order left and they had no way to deliver more(Door Dash, cab, employee?) Went here last weekend for lunch with my family. To start, we were told that it was cash only--no greeting by the way. Then the entire dining room was a mess. Literally all of the tables were dirty, floors needed a good sweeping, trash cans were overflowing, and there were no napkins. They were not busy, and had enough staff to serve the few customers coming in, and tend to the eyesore of a dining room. They had no grilled veggies, and it appeared as though much of the staff was just standing around. If I could give this place, zero stars I would. It started off really good. Last four times I came, they never have fajita vegetables. One time I ordered online just a fajita bowl for my girlfriend. Went home, opened it up, and said no veggies on the top of the bowl. I initially never really cared for this place after visiting a franchise in Atlanta. However, I decided to visit the spot on Slidell. The first time I went, I ordered a quesadilla. It was ok. I'm a big fan of Mexican food, so I realized I should stick to authentic Mexican restaurants for a quesadilla. The next time I went, I decided to get a steak salad, especially since it was keto Friendly. It was pretty good. Dressed it up with everything I like. I love almost every chipotle location, but this one in particular always give me larger portions than other locations, and the food is always super fresh. Been to dozens of chipotles across 6 states and this one always tastes noticeably fresher and with larger potions. Kind staff too! read more

I should mention I eat Chipotle at least once a week. Slidell is the best Chipotle in the region. This location is 20+ miles further away from us than the Mandeville one, but we drove the extra distance because of the quality and atmosphere. When it comes to Chipotle in the region, Slidell is #1, Metairie #2 and the Mandeville location abysmal. At the Slidell location they cook everything to perfection - the brown rice is so delicious you could eat it alone for your meal. The carnitas is well seasoned and succulent. They are fair with portions too. Best of all is the team. This team is always friendly and efficient. Well trained and well managed. We've had such consistently good service at the Slidell location that on this visit I asked for the manager. Matthew came over and we told him how great the food and his team are on every visit. Maybe one day he'll get to help improve the region and we can eat Chipotle closer to home. read more

The food I received was very good, that is why there is two stars, but everything else was horrible. This was not the first bad visit, but definitely the one that set me over the edge. I walked into the restaurant at 8:43, and there was only one other customer sitting and eating. I sat at the beginning of the toppings line waiting for the 4-5 employees to finish the conversation that had me waiting for a few minutes. As I sat there I made eye contact with at least 2 employees. Even though everyone who works in customer service should know how to treat customers, even with bad attitudes, I sat there with a smile on my face waiting. Even though I did not enjoy this awkward waiting I put it behind myself because I know how to treat people. As I go down the line I was choosing what I wanted and the second half of the line was put away onto the counter in the back. Thank goodness I knew what Chipotle served because I had to tell her and she had to walk back and get the toppings. I recall that Chipotle in Fremaux closes at 10pm on a Friday night (12/29/23), so why was everything put up. This leads me to my other issue. After I had completed my bowl I went to pay with the employee, that was whispering, and I handed them a twenty dollar bill. They refused it and said they were only taking exact cash. There had been no sign warning me or any customer about this inconvenience. Thank goodness I had my card with me! As someone who works with cash registers I know about counting the drawer and I can only assume they did this inconvenience because they had already counted the drawer. This would have been weird though because you typically count the drawer after you close and they still had an hour and 10 minutes until they closed. After I had paid, which in my opinion was ridiculous due to the terrible service and crappy customer service skills, another employee walked in with french fries from another establishment. After the employee walked in two employees who were in the middle of finishing my transaction flocked to their side to eat the fries. All in all, I never want to go there again, even though I love the food, and I do plan to visit other chipotle's, just never the one in Fremaux. I have and will continue to tell many people about this, do better hiring. read more

This place is very similar to Izzo's, but I don't think the flavor is as good. Hubby got the burrito and I got the salad with chicken, black beans, brown rice, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole (extra). The food is fresh but doesn't have much seasoning to it. My son loves this place, most times it's take out, we been on the road, not wanting to sit, just a grab go home deal, he's got his school club, bowling team you know. Well its always been ok it's not what I like much. We did the deal e o and home. Mine was dry you have to hit this place early cause when they get slammed, the beans are hard and things aren't well let's say. Yeap that day meat dry, beans hard, son got sick, I was bent over for a few also. It happens. Knowing this, we will wait a good bit to go back. Thou I can name few other places in the freameaux center WE just don't go the quality and well ok prices just NOT worth it. Like 5 guys we wait to go out of town. Lost Cajun why? Very disappointed to see a line member wearing a mask on his chin while preparing orders. He talked excessively while the mask was on his chin which COMPLETELY goes against the purpose of wearing it in the first place. I was also sad to see that there was NO crowd control. The line was literally from the checkout to the entrance door. In addition, several customers MOVED the social distancing signs that were placed on some tables , and sat in "closed "areas without any pushback from any member of the staff. Extremely inconsistent. They used to not be so bad but after my past few experiences I will not be caught dead at this location. Unfortunately the staff is never welcoming and always does their best to push you out of the door as soon as possible. They are not personable AT ALL. This place is somewhere everyone should try! I went there last night for the first time and it was so good! When you walk in you go to the front and I chose a burrito that I then let them know everything I wanted on it (like subway). The portion was very generous and they have sparkling fruit drinks to choose from. The prices are reasonable and the staff was friendly. Loved this place when they first opened but it's definitely gone down hill since then. They never give you a full serving of meat and when you ask for more they either act like they're inconvenienced or say they'll have to charge you more. Was also informed by their staff when they first opened that if you don't like cilantro rice, they have plain white rice you just have to ask for it.
