Other people's reviews are valid for saying it's sometimes closed and not enough employees. But It can be so hard to keep a business efficiently running when you don't have the employees to back it up. The manager is there all the time to pick up people slack. He specifically is always making sure the food is fresh and everyone is satisfied. I have never been here when the food wasn't good. Yes, it can be frustrating when they don't have certain toppings are things made but they are one of a few 'fast food' places to do almost everything in house, and for that you have to give credit. read more

I've given this Chipotle multiple chances over the past couple of years, coming back every few months hoping things have improved. Unfortunately, it's the same disappointing experience every time. The chicken bowl portions are incredibly inconsistent--sometimes acceptable, other times surprisingly small. To make matters worse, the ice machine was broken... again. This isn't an isolated incident; it's something I've encountered on multiple visits. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a standard Chipotle. The dining area has the usual look and feel, but while some areas were clean, other parts of the restaurant were noticeably dirty and could have used more attention. After a previous review, Chipotle Corporate contacted me and I took the time to provide detailed feedback. I genuinely hoped that would lead to improvements, but nothing has changed. At this point, it feels like the problems are systemic and start with management rather than the employees working the line. There are simply too many great places to eat in Slidell to keep wasting time and money on a restaurant that consistently fails to deliver a reliable experience. My pickup was to be finished at 6:10 didn't get my food until well after that maybe closer to 6:30 which things happen i get that but for the wait the quality should've been fresh. ***VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE*** Probably the worst experience of all the Chipotle restaurants I have visited. Food was subpar and cold. Bunch of small flies all around the tables aggressively trying to get into your food, which they eventually did. I had to ask for a refund since I wasn't even able to eat my bowl before all the flies went in there. One of the employees was clearly in a bad mood while serving food, I do my best to give grace to everyone in the fast food industry because I know how it feels dealing with rude and obnoxious customers, but this was not the case. Food-wise, I love love love the Chipotle food. Brick-and-mortar-wise, every one I go to feels a bit grimy around the edges. Like they just had a rush of customers and they haven't had time to clean up before I walked in. I have never seen a clean bathroom at one. This location is a little nicer than most. Still not sparkly clean, but not dirty tables and trash on the floor. Acceptable. The service is good but it always feels like I am getting rushed through the line. Figure out what you want while you are waiting in line, know what you want, tell them clearly, and you'll be OK. If you stand there looking at the toppings trying to decide, they practically roll their eyes and tell you to hurry up. Granted, keeping the line moving is a good thing, but I hate to get hustled through the process. Be prepared and figure it out ahead of time is all I'm saying. One of the doors to the establishment doesn't work. The portion sizing is terrible when you order online since employees are told to purposefully skimp on portion size when it's an online order, something my friends who used to work at Chipotle told me. The girl checking me out wouldn't let me redeem my birthday reward for free queso, nor my welcome chips and guacamole. I don't know why, she never gave me a reason even though I scanned them both and showed her both in my app. I don't know if I offended her somehow and that's why she didn't give me my birthday gift but that made me upset. So, my sides for my quesadilla were barely there and I got no rewards. Additionally, the vibe is terrible in there and the employees are not welcoming. It truly is a roll of the dice depending on who you get serving you. Some days it's 18$ for the bowl, today it was 26$ for ONE bowl.. I wasn't even trying to ask for 'double' I just wanted a LITTLE more, which was always followed by 'I'm going to double charge you for it' so I just said sure. After that they started putting the least amount of the 'free' condiments on the bowl as well. It's like she put just enough to where it's like, really? If I worked somewhere getting minimum wage, this one bowl would have costed me 4+ hours or a HALF DAY of work, for one meal. This was a bad decision. they first me the crunchy rice bits on the bottom of the bin then they gave me a quarter scoop of protein when I asked for the normal amount they added two more pieces of chicken. My friends and I stopped here for a quick dinner on our way to a Pelicans game. It's conveniently located right off the highway in a shopping plaza. There's plenty of parking and other eateries and stores. The restaurant was clean and we were kindly greeted by the staff. We ordered our food which was all fresh and delicious! The downside to this location is that there's only single occupant restrooms. Lucky for us, there weren't many patrons during our visit. The service was terrible. The restaurant was filthy. We received what was left at the bottom of the protein container and when the amount of steak was insufficient I asked for more. I got an eye roll, a huff, an angrily slid bowl to another employee and a shake of the head. From the employee who received the "slide" I received an apology. I was told it was an overly stimulating day and that they had worked hard. My son didn't get his kids meal at all and I told him we would go somewhere else. I tipped the saving grace of this experience and the girl working behind her. I received mediocre food and paid $39.21 for it. Two bowls and terrible queso and chips. I won't come back to this one. She needs a new job or an attitude adjustment. Maybe both. She was pissed of when we got here and it just went down hill from there. Chipotle is my life! This is a great fast casual restaurant if you are in the mood for Mexican/American. It is more Americanized but very good. In my opinion. I try to fry it when I can. It is kinda far from me but if you are in the area; well worth it if you get it. They have many offers. Mainly known for their burritos. If want smaller, you can do tacos or the quesadilla. No carbs, you can do the lifestyle bowl or burrito bowl (no tortilla). It great, cause you can customize your bowl to your heart desires. Extra charge for double meat, toppings and guacamole. You may think it is spicy but it is not. Just let them know that you don't want it spicy and they will let you know what to get to avoid the spice. It's not spicy what they do give you. If you want move of a kick. They offer tobasaco sauce. They seating I noticed the seating is very limited if you want to dine in. Few tables for 4. If you have more, they community seating with back support. Not a place for large groups. If so, I recommend you take it to go. No drive-thru or delivery I can tell? Please let me know if I'm wrong. They off soda fountain, tea, and water. Bottle sodas (Mexican Coke and glass bottle sprite) and few beer selection (not sure on the brands tho?). No WiFi I noticed. Here I am again with another review. Google wouldn't allow me to add or make another review based off of my experience today. This chipotle is notorious for running out of needed items for their meals and want to charge us full price with no substitutions or added value. Today I went to pick up my sisters food who's recovering from surgery and decided to add a salad to the order in person. First things first, they want to give you the bare minimum and old lettuce for your salad. I should not have to ask the attendant to remove old lettuce and to put enough lettuce that can be considered a salad. I was informed that there was no vinaigrette or sour cream available. if there's no salad dressing, why are you selling salad and especially with no substitute or option to make it right? Here's the part that's even more annoying, the manager on duty refused to give me her name and gave me a business card that essentially send you to a one 800 number that tells you to write a review online or contact them through the website. How are companies like this allowed to duplicate themselves all over the country and give subpar service and quality food. The cost of food is going up yet they want to give you the least and make no accommodation but they don't have all materials necessary for meals/product.
