My First Chipotle!!! I was looking for a place to have lunch during my stay in the Pittsburgh Mills area. This Chipotle was right across the road from my hotel. Time was an issue since I had an online meeting to attend and didn't have time for a sit-down lunch. Once I arrived, I stared hopelessly at the menu with no idea what to order. The person behind the counter, noting my confusion, helped guide me through the selections, and I settled on a bowl with Chipotle Honey Chicken. The staff helped me select my toppings and made the bowl just the way I needed it to be. I also ordered a bag of their in-house made nacho chips, and had my first Popi as well. This could possibly be the worst Chipotle in America. Chips are stale and broken. Salsa so cold it freezes your food. Some toppings are way too salty. Sometimes the run out of forks but won't let you switch to a burrito. The staff is working hard behind the counter but I don't know why it's so terrible. After getting past the loooong wait and very little product to choose from, check your receipt! The Two times I have been in that location I asked for half n half meat. No EXTRA meat!! Just half chicken and beef. BOTH times I was charged for EXTRA STEAK. My bowl was 17.50!! Unreal! I was charged $550 to get NO extra anything!!!! We've been to this location three times and have had good experiences each time. The bowls have been made well and there were always all the ingredients available, which has not been the case at other Chipotle locations in the area. It's so nice to not have to listen to the crazy loud music they play at the Fox Chapel location and they can actually make change, unlike Monroeville where they never can! My only recommendation is that they need a schedule for cleaning the tables and sweeping the floor and emptying the trash, which is hit or miss. The ONLY decent aspect of this particular location is that the food quality is consistent. They have the worst customer service, and longest service times I've seen. I put in an order (5:30) for a 6:00 window pickup. After 45 minutes sitting in the drive thru, I actually reached the window. FOURTEEN minutes later, I had to honk my horn and wave like a mad man, just to be acknowledged. Lastly, they would not process a return on my card! I had to drive home, call the 800 number, wait on hold, got someone I almost understood, only to tell me it will be 3-5 business days to process... Attempted to give this chipotle another try sadly once again I was disappointed. I do have to say today it was not as messy as it normally is though it didn't seem busy at all either. The guy that was making my food did not seem too thrilled to be at work I wasn't greeted or anything. I order my food & when it comes time to check out I asked for the vinaigrette that comes with a salad. Once again, they are out of vinaigrette..that would've been nice to have known from the beginning when I told the worker I was getting a salad with the rest of the food I ordered as well. If I could give a zero star rating for this chipotle location, I would. After grocery shopping I stopped at this location around 6:30pm for some dinner. There was no line and there might have been less than half a dozen other customers already eating at the place. Upon ordering they had NO INGREDIENTS - no fajita veggies, no lettuce, no guacamole, no tomato salsa, and no chips. At the end, my chicken bowl consisted of rice, chicken, and cheese - that's it, The staff didn't even tip me off that this was the case prior to ordering so I was stuck ordering. How does this happen at 6:30? Like I could understand if it was closing time at like 9:45om but this is ridiculous. read more

Multiple times they are short on product, they ignore customers at the counter, they play loud music and we're making gun motions with hands while working. Its management doesn't seem to care. My wife and I went up there to give it another chance. The last few visits some workers were walking around on their cell phones!!! TEXTING!!! A lot of confusion behind the counter. Looks like they're hiring children. Lots of shit/ garbage on the tables. Trash cans, overflowing. You need to start firing people from the top down!! Management is unexperienced, no working knowledge of what a successful business 'is. You need to stop hiring bodies to take up space. I make over $100,000 a year no joke! I didn't think it would be possible for this location to be worse than the Waterworks but it is. Some highlights from several visits: - It's filthy, always. - They're out of meat, always. - Staff is miserable, always. - One time, they didn't have any meat except carnitas & tofu. I didn't really want carnitas but ok, I settled. I get to the very end and they tell me they're out of cheese. Why didn't they tell me at the beginning!? Everyone knows cheese is the most important part??? Had I known they were out of cheese I would have PROMPTLY left. - Another time, they were out of everything but the chicken "leftovers." It looked a little well done but ok, I settled thinking it might be nice and crispy. I'm not surprised by the 1 star reviews. I went there on Veteran's Day, since it was noted in the news and on the VA site that they were offering vets a free meal, like some others do. I waited in line for probably 20 minutes and finally got to the front of the line. I was turned away. I never demanded anything. I merely asked if they had any Veteran's Day specials. The customer behind me offered to pay for me, but I declined. I wasn't looking for a hand out, I simply wanted the store to honor the offer they made. To be honest, the staff looked overworked. The prep counter reflected that. There was cheese everywhere and the counter looked as though it hadn't been wiped down in some time. I went across the street and was treated well. The procedure at Chipotle is kind of strange. You have to enter to the left, get in a thin line and snake your way to a front counter. As a result, you could be in line for some time, as I was. The feeling behind the whole place was rushed, as though they wanted people in and out as quickly as possible.Nothing about this first look indicated any food quality or any level of customer service. The place seemed disorganized and a mess. I watched a decent amount of food being made. I have to say that especially for the prices, there are far better options just seconds away. Was super excited when this location opened. Unfortunately I don't believe this location is well staffed enough. It is being set up to fail. The food is good when they have the ingredients you like to order. I have placed online orders and they did not have chips or drinks that every other Chipotle I have gone to always has. September 8, 2025 , i'm really disappointed in chipotle I thought they cleaned their act up, but I guess they haven't so I went in there today and the glass to the doors were so dirty standing behind another customer. Nobody acknowledged him and ignoring both of us while the employees were laughing cutting up at the end by the cash register, not near the assembly line. There was one girl that was off the clock and making her own food and didn't bother to tell me or the man in front of me that, I'm not on the clock, so I said to the staff, can you please pay attention to us and take our orders! they totally ignored and ran off, and the girl that was off the clock making her own food was so rude. The manager was rude. She didn't care the glass at the counter was all filthy and greasy. The place was dirty. The floors were dirty you guys need some help. You shouldn't be in the customer service business. You don't talk back to customers and I told the girl, why are you being so rude to me? The employees (they seemed to hire additional people, and it looked like there was a professional manager in site) were welcoming and kind and asked if I needed anything else. Placed an online order at 11:55 with an estimated pickup time of 12:20. Sat in the pickup line for 50 minutes before getting to the window where I was told there were still 20 orders ahead of mine (despite it being 40 minutes past my pickup time at that point). I was told they received 100 orders at 10:00. I saw 5 cars leave with no food. I'm completely understanding of growing pains as this location just opened (which is why I waited so long--plus I had already paid) but someone could have come to the pickup line to alert people that there was basically no chance of us getting our food (since they said they knew at 10:00 they had 100 orders) rather than making us wait 50 minutes in line before telling us. read more

I've been to Chipotle, love the food. But each time I encountered unacceptable cleanliness or operational issues that were overlooked by every employee. From discarded food left on tables, garbage on trash cans to hauling open trash receptacles through the food prep area! Juice Fountain drinks empty at 12 noon or not filled up at all. Nozzles not reinstalled on fountain drinks so customers got their clothes splashed by soft drinks! Slippery Ice cubes all over the floor. Overflowing trash receptacles due to no tray area. Trashcan openings not big enough to put it in! (Round peg in square hole) Pathetic design flaws! Now Six receptacles overflowing instead of One! *Install side opening trash cans with tray holder on top! Less than attentive prep workers very slowly prepare bowls or burritos while talking to customers. Hello? This is my lunch hour. The high ceiling with large sign is difficult to read with small print. Within moments there are people waiting in line almost to the door!. Loud, annoying music plays in the background. Terrible place to eat. Filthy, no utensils, no hard tacos, no cooked vegs for a salad. All the tables were dirty. When a family asked to clean a table the employee stated that the spray bottles werent working. A twenty five dollar meal for two the was terrible in he quality of the food served.
