I love this place. My fiancé and I usually almost always grab a burger and fries from here when we shop at the Mills Mall. Every single time, I've had nothing but exceptional service, and delicious food. I don't know what it is about this place, but it's just simply delicious. Those burgers are so juicy and tasty, and seriously make my taste buds sing. Lol. The French fries are out of this world too! This is the BEST place to get a burger and fries! I like how they let you take a bagful of peanuts too! I always eat a couple while I'm waiting for the food, and take some home with me too. It's a little pricey, but worth every penny. Try it! They have the best burgers I have every had. They are a chain out of the Washington D.C. area. This is the third Five Guy's in the Pittsburgh area. It is the Pittsburgh Mills Shopping Complex. They offer burgers, hot dogs and fries. You can choose from either a hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon burger or a bacon cheeseburger in two sizes a "little burger" single patty burger or two patty burger. Went to this five guys burgers for lunch, if you been to five guys you know the drill. They make really good fresh beef hamburgers there. Today I got the cheeseburger and, it was cooked to perfection, every burger is a double there, unless you get a junior or whatever they call it burger. They're big, they're greasy, there the True Americans food. Note to self, I should get my blood pressure checked. They also feature free roasted and salted peanuts for you to snack on while you wait for your delicious cheeseburger or in your case hamburger. Most gluten free peeps wouldn't even bother with a burger joint but you can ask for a lettuce wrap and enjoy a fresh, juicy, fast burger that is totally worth it! What I really come here for is the fresh cut fries. This place is just as fast as fast food but REAL! Don't miss the drink machine that mixes flavors into your fav sodas. Deliciousness! Great burgers great fries! If you have a nut allergy please be careful they have peanuts here that are in open containers. I showed up here at exactly 8pm on a Monday night. I was the only one in the place with 4 employees behind the counter. I placed my order, the cashier said "two patties" and nothing, the other employees were arguing about cleaning. After I was standing there for 5 minutes one of the employees said to another "did anyone put those patties on?" At this time I'm still the only one here, there are literally no burgers on the flattop grill. So obviously no. Even after that question was asked, THEY STILL DIDNT START THE ORDER. I guess it was one of those situations where they each thought the other was going to do it. Nevertheless, I was the only one in there still. So this never should have happened. It literally took 25 minutes to get my order as 3 of the 4 employees played on their phones. read more

Staff here is very nice and by far the fastest group at a Five Guys I've seen. The gentleman who I'm assuming is the manager was very friendly and joked around about me having to come back in to order for someone else. Burgers? Yes, please! Five Guys Burgers and Fries is a chain burger joint. Their burgers are fresh, juicy, stacked any way you like them and they come hot off of the grill. The staff works as a well oiled machine. Although we haven't had them, there are hot dogs on the menu. I think they are Nathan's dogs. There is a board near the register that tells you where the potatoes are from. Alot of articles and reviews posted all over the walls. I haven't seen any newer dates on any of them so I'm wondering about that. This store is fairly clean and always busy. It beats the burgers, price and taste of Red Robins around the corner and beats the flavor and meatiness of Sonic and Steak and Shake, located across the street and next door. 4 burger joints, only Five Guys tops them. Snack on peanuts while you are waiting for your order. There is only one other burger joint that tops Five Guys, but they're located only in CA, AZ and NV. So this will fit the bill. read more

Had 1 person ahead of me and took 28 minutes to get a burger. The 2 customers behind me who also got burgers got their food before me while 3 employees were not doing anything. Also the grill was not even close to being full. This is why I don't tip in advanced. Service matters. Won't go to this location again. And my toppings were wrong. read more

No decor, no fancy packaging, no crazy advertising but what they lack in those departments they make up for in a BANGIN burger and the best fries. Who needs silly logo napkins, crazy decor, and comfortable seating? When the essentials and the foundation is strong everything else is sure to thrive. They have the best plain burgers that are alacarte without additional prices, load um up usually one flat-rate. I load mine with sauteed everything and fresh greens. The grease rivers through the vegetables infesting everything with and buttery and meaty decadence that sure to invigorate some of the weakest taste buds. Ever so sick you can't taste your food? Well visit Five GUYS they will kick things up a notch. I usually get the scraps from my boyfriends fries, just what falls out of his cup into the bag makes almost a whole order! LOL, he loves bringing me back his leftovers and I can't complain. I love how they do everything so basic but food is amazing. Foil wrapped burgers and brown grease soaked paper bags filled with fries. This is just a really great place for lunch or to snag take out. read more

This location, as well as the one in the Waterworks, consistently (and quickly) prepare hot, fresh, custom burgers. Albeit they are a tad pricey, you get what you pay for: a good meal. Ok, they have these places out in AZ now from when I had it in PA and it has grown on me a bit. Still love me some In-N-Out, but this place has a different kind of utility. Two strikes and out. Tried the 5 guys in the Waterworks shopping center awhile back and was underwhelmed. Place was VERY loud and food was greasy. Figured I'd try again, this time up the road at Pgh Mills. Even worse. The greasy burger was the same (like an old-style Wendy's burger, but with more grease ladled on) but the fries were atrocious. Dredged in salt. Inedible. The bottom of the brown paper bag should give a clue as to just how much excess grease is in these. The bun/grease sponge becomes saturated and falls apart within minutes. If you set the bag on your car seat, it will be ruined. Imagine what this does to your arteries. $10 for a grease-burger and inedible fries? If I want a once a month guilty pleasure grease bomb, I expect it to be edible. One might presume that people giving this 5 stars have only McDonalds as a reference. That this place is rated 'best' anywhere serves only as a bellwether as to how bad other fast food actually is. Go to your local supermarket, buy some ground beef and throw it on a hibachi. read more

Let me preface this by saying I have spent a lot of time in Washington DC, the original home of FIVE GUYS. My brother and I were in the mood for a tasty, char-grilled burger, so we decided to go to FIVE GUYS. I have eaten there countless times, so my expectations are set quite high (and for good reason, because they are usually always met). However, on this dark Saturday, fate had another card to play. We meandered through the line and were met by a gracious cashier who promptly took our order. While waiting, we had noticed a certain cook was intently focused on "mastering" the perfect ketchup and mustard pattern by covering the entire bun in a sort of alternating criss cross pattern. While the gentleman may be taking pride in his craft, I can assure you this is not conducive to a quality burger experience... at least to anyone who doesn't like eating a sloppy, ketchup-drenched burger. This amount of ketchup would make honey-boo-boo blush. I felt like I was drinking it from a fire hose. The meal left me feeling unsatisfied, as I only ended up eating the patty, the bun had broken down into a red bread and ketchup paste within a few minutes. So please, to anyone reading this, if someone seems a little too excited about getting their squirt on, put a halt to it before it's too late. read more

The restaurant is fairly dated but that gives it some charm. The parking lot and access is fairly crammed in a the commerical area of Cranberry. We were hungry and went a little overboard with our order. We tried the hot dogs, burgers, fries, pastachilli and drinks. We sat at the counter and our waitress was awesome, a typical character - which is what I love about the Pittsburgh area. She stayed on us throughout our experience and helped us through the unknown as most people here looked like seasoned vets. I really enjoyed the burger, the fresh cut fries and their chilli sauce. The burger patty was thin and similar to smash burgers. My wife raved about the pastachilli which was just fusilli pasta smothered in their chilli sauce. Soda even came in souvenir plastic drink cups which we happily took. Even better -- our bill for 3 was $35 plus tip. We left more than full and had a great trip. If you like hot dog joints then you can't miss this one.
