The gas pumps were empty of paper forcing you into the place if you need a receipt. When you go into the place to get your receipt no smiles, no eye contact just hand you the receipt which should have been at the pump. The bathroom was gross , not just dirty but gross dirty. The hand soap dispenser was either broke or empty so they set 1 communal bottle of a dish soap with green something in it. I felt like a needed a shower after going in this place. read more

This place is the pride of Roswell! It's literally the first stop you see after driving over an hour from the N or NE depending on which road you're on. If you're trying to set the bar on what a trashy dump is supposed to be, this is it. All it's missing is rats scrambling across the floor, and cockroaches hanging out on the wall to qualify as a certifiable shit hole. As an overnight route driver, this place is the last resort stop. Unless I'm about to have liquid shit running out of my pants legs I avoid it at all costs. Even then, don't bet on the bathroom being clean, or the door in the larger stall locking, or being able to have much room to get your pants down in the smaller stall. Most people, once committed to a bathroom break, usually buy something.... Good luck! Not sure which is worse, trying to get the girl in the front to put her phone down long enough to engage with reality, or having the old man follow you around yelling... "can I help you find something?" "No mother fucker... I'm just getting a cup of your stale ass cold coffee..." If you happen to be driving a truck... Well the dumbasses lock the back door leading out to the diesel pumps, you've gotta walk clear around the building like some kind of asshole. I guess they're afraid of the truck drivers, which is hilarious, since the guy who got shot that one night was shot in the front. This store is such a convenience for us! The staff is fast and usually really nice. They even found my wallet and returned it which was very honest and appreciated. If you're coming to Roswell.. Do NOT STAY AT Best Western Rancho Placito. They are locally owned. They are not apart of the Best Western chain. They are very ill mannered. The owner apparently gets his kicks from making fun of his guests and talking down to women. The holiday inn is very nice and they have a quaint little bar downstairs. The roadway inn is clean and affordable as well as candlewood suites. read more

These are the nastiest bathrooms I've been in in a very long time.We have stopped here 4-5 times in the last two years and the restrooms are worse every time. We will not be stopping here again. The gas isn't any cheaper than the other gas stations on the other end of town and at least they clean their restrooms. read more

This place is disgusting...the bathrooms are unusable. The manager is so rude! I parked my car there thinking it was in a safe spot for a few hours and that mean n rude manager got it towed. She didn't even apologize to me when I asked her what happened to my car. There were several cars parked there n she had to get mine towed. I will never go back there again due to this unacceptable treatment from a truck stop. If you all should stop there don't park your car there for over an hour she might get it towed. First stop we made on our visit to Roswell. Wished we would have skipped it because it didnt make for a good start or a good first impression of the general overall attitude of the people here. The store is old, its pretty easy to tell, but there does seem to be a lack of care. Despite it being old you can tell where theres neglect on cleaning. If you like your coffee when you travel like we do, DONT use their cups & lids. You'll end up setting yourself up as the lids dont fit the cups & pop right off as well as leak. Sugar/creamer dispenser practically fell over when trying to use it & didnt even work - no sign. Went to grab a couple drink & snack items for later, out of stock. Conversing with the employees what little we did wasnt friendly & the way i heard the manager (heard her say she was) talk to a customer was so nasty! Just YUCK on that!! We sure hope our first experience in Roswell gets better.... read more
