Avoid at all costs I created an account just to write this review (because otherwise yelp wouldn't let me attach my pic). That should already be a red flag for you, but read on if you want the sordid details. They pretend to be "hip" by blasting pop music outside, but once you go in, the staff completely ignore you. Then when you finally manage to wave one down, they treat you like you're a bunch of trespassing hobos for daring to ask to be seated and given menus. Once that's over, good luck getting them to come over once again because all of the staff will deliberately avoid all eye contact and beeline for the other tables that are ready to pay. (We discovered the reason for this when it was our turn: they've got handheld card-readers which force you to choose between 15%, 18%, and 20% tip. And the waitstaff literally hover over you like the vultures they are while you are selecting these options.) Every dish that our horrid waitress CHANTAL set down was either spilled over because she slammed it down (even spilling onto one of our phones) or just shoved onto our table with no regard for the other items already there. CHANTAL did not answer our questions before or after ordering, nor come to check up on us at any point. Even getting her to come for the bill was a chore. Food was actually surprisingly decent *if* you consider excessive salt a serviceable substitute for all other actual flavors. I guess it can pass as about the same level as Olive Garden, if Olive Garden was a lot more stingy on portion size. The one star is for that and for the food being quick to arrive, though once again, I'm pretty sure that was because CHANTAL regarded us as pests to be gotten rid of as soon as humanly possible. I'm adding the receipt for 3 reasons: 1. to prove that we were in fact unfortunate patrons of this fraudulent establishment 2. to name and shame our particularly hostile waitress CHANTAL 3. to show that we did in fact spend quite a lot, especially on the undeserved tip Good luck and godspeed to anyone unfortunate enough to be contemplating entering much less deigning to fill their stomachs at this dumpster fire. read more

Below average food and even worse service A very packed place when we arrived we were seated quickly and placed at a table. Per usual we received bread and drinks which were okay and then ordered. One of the plates we ordered was the Pasta Fruitti Di Mare which had unopened mussels, fishy after taste in the pasta. We let the waitress know of the status of the dish and that we wanted to have it sent back to the kitchen, she bluntly responded with "What do you want me to do?", we subsequently rexplained her and reminded her of its poor quality and she took it back. We have been here before and this place never disappoints. The food and service are superb. We had a variety of dishes, all from the Italian based menu. The pizza is thin crust cooked in a wood fired stone oven. The pizzas are very consistent over the 15 or so choices. We had the Sicilian and the Québécois. Both were excellent. The other diners had the Eggplant Parmesan, Italian Sausage and Pepper Linguine, for which they substituted spaghetti on request, and the last dishes were both the ever popular Seafood Linguine. It was incredibly busy tonight and our dishes took too long to arrive, but that can be forgiven by the exceptional quality of the food. Dessert was chocolate Tartuffe and creme caramel. Yummy! The restaurant has a very extensive wine list, large variety of pastas, pizzas, veal and chicken dishes. If you have had a long day of skiing, Le Vieux Four is the place to dine, be seen and chillax. Le Vieux Four is a cozy, well located restaurant. I recently went there with my family and experienced exceptional service. The food choices were diverse, I throughly enjoyed their appetizers. We had to however send back our Pesto pasta cause the sauce was too watery, however the management quickly replaced that with their signature pasta. Being a dessert queen, I wasn't much of a fan of their Tiramisu, Le Vieux Four had a different twist to it. I can't wait to go back there and try out other dishes in their menu. I had the spaghetti with summer vegetables and it was absolutely tasteless - just plain pasta with steamed broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower. There was no seasoning whatsoever. I just tried this restaurant which is supposed to specialize in pizzas and unfortunately I did not have the best experience. My pizza arrived about 10 minutes after my mother and sister were served, and the crust was burnt. My sister ordered a steak blue and it came over cooked. The food was awful. Pasta overboiled, sauce made by an amateur. The fried calamari tasted like paper, perhaps it was bought frozen from the supermarket and heated in a microwave. The stratiatella soup was horrible. The pizza was okay though, the two fellas making it in the front didn't mess that up. The beer choice was pathetic. Richard's Red and Moretti don't cut it. The service was excellent in that the waiters were doing their absolute best but were understaffed. I gave them a huge tip because I felt bad for them. They were clearly not happy but still treated the customer as well as possible. I think they need to rethink things and start fresh. Get a real cook, or a professional manager.
