I have quite a few shirts that are dry clean only and I know that when I pick them up they will be like new again. I cannot recommend this place. I took a chunky knit wool sweater to be dry cleaned here yesterday and picked it up today. It was about $5.75. It seriously looked like whoever "cleaned" it just quickly lint-rolled it and then folded it up neatly. The reason why I took the sweater in to be cleaned in the first place was because my cat's fur was all over it! So when I got it back, I noticed that all the fur was still stuck on the wool including human strands of hair. And it stunk of gasoline! The quality was half-assed and I will not be coming back. read more

Wow, what great customer service, Tonni is just awesome along with the rest of the staff. I originally came here to get a vintage dress dry cleaned for a special event and I ended up getting engaged in that dress. They got the dress done early and called me right away so I could have it for my event. I'm so glad they did. I was able to wear it the day my husband proposed. They take such good care of any garment you give them. What I especially appreciate is how honest they are if I bring them something that may not hold up they tell you right then and there. I brought them a 1940s wedding dress that I purchased to wear for my wedding and I couldn't have been happier I cried with joy, jumped around at how nicely it came out. I'm pretty sure I gave Tonni a great big hug. I have sinced moved away from Simi but I make the drive over anytime my husband needs his business shirts taken care of or I need any of my garments. I wouldn't go anywhere but here!!!! If I could give them 10 stars and beyond I would. A gem in Simi and the only place I'll go too! read more

Great experience with my first encounter. I had a problem with scheduling my first pickup online so I called. They came out same day to pickup my cloths, turned it around in a day (instead of 3) and offered to drop it off at my house as opposed to having me come pick it up as I had scheduled. We moved to Simi a year ago. We tried several cleaners and just weren't thrilled with any of them. Out of desperation we tried Choice 1, and we have been very happy there. The best part is the owner who only took my name the first visit. Now he pulls up my account as soon as I walk in. Who does that? Clothes are clean and professionally pressed. Only came here because I work in Simi, and thought, "I can knock this out on lunch break." The (new) girl misunderstood what I was asking for, basic hem and take a little in on the waste. Instead I ended up reconstructing the suit pants. No biggie, they'll probably fit better. However, the owner (assuming) had to come out and correct her bad, I don't know, line up. She was about to have the front crease "S-ing" down the front of my leg. I told her the spelling of my last name 6x's. Even said, "Sold with an O at the end." Came in today, well, I left the receipt in my truck, and road my motorcycle today. Lady I spoke with today, (SURPRISE) "I don't have an invoice for you." Not worst customer service I've had, but pretty shitty. No problem, I'll call my wife and have her read the receipt to me. Turns out, name spelled wrong (who would have guessed). As I made that call, another customer comes in, seems ready to argue. Guess she has some type of account, and her clothes weren't dropped off yesterday. Anyways, she pulls my info up, and my pants still aren't pressed yet. Really??? the ticket says they were suppose to be done yesterday by 3pm. Yes I'll wait, I'm suppose to be wearing these pants tonight, I live 45min away. Takes 5min to press them. This lady starts trying to make small talk, "Nice motorcycle!" Meh, not in the mood for that by now, "thanks." I feel like it's not out of the norm to require good customer service, even if you are the owner, manager, whatever. I feel like, you should actually listen to what the customer is saying, or asking for. I feel like if the service your providing isn't finished by the time you say, you should call that person and let them know; not wait for them to show up the next day and have to wait on you to finish it. I will 100% be using Choice 1 for all of my alterations as well as cleaning needs. Claud the owner is awesome. I took my bridesmaid dress to him to be taken in. Unfortunately, I had back to back weddings and was not able to pick the dress up until just a few days before needed. When I picked the dress up and tried it on at home I realized the dress was too snug and I would need to have them let it back out just a little. I took the dress back in (which happened to be the day before the wedding) and he was able to make the needed adjustments. He told me to go home walk around and make sure the dress was comfortable. He made sure to be available if I decided the dress needed to be let out more and even told me he would open early to help me out the day of the wedding! Not only that, another bridesmaid needed her dress let out (was ordered and came too small) and he helped her the day before and even added straps to a custom dress made for her daughter. I have been going to choice 1 for a couple years but only every two-three months. I have really liked their dry cleaning quality but their service was disappointing on my last visit. I dropped my clothes off about three months ago to be cleaned and I brought my coupon, as I always do. The lady took my clothes and I asked her if she got the coupon and she said yes. When I picked up the order I quickly paid (since had baby with me) and went home. I noticed when I got home they charged me full price. I saved my receipt for the next time I went back. So I went back recently and the same lady was there. I told her what happened and she was not helpful and almost was frustrated with me. I was being completely calm in explaining she didn't use the coupon I gave her and she said I should have said something three months ago at the time. She kept asking what I want her to do about it and I suggested just cleaning one of the pants from today for free. She said she couldn't do that and offered to use the coupon I brought today and then give it back to me. WHY WOULD I WANT THE COUPON BACK?!? I get them all the time in the mail and I told her we only come once every couple months. Anyways... I didn't want to stand there and argue with her. I felt it was a simple and honest fix and she didn't want to do it. I left based on the principal that she should have retroactively honored the coupon. She isn't very friendly. The man that is usually there, REALLY nice! Always friendly and even greets me by name and asks how the baby is doing. So their quality is great...just make sure you check the price they charged if you use a coupon. Being that I am stubborn and this is all based on the principal of why couldn't they just fix the simple mistake, I am now having to find a new dry cleaner :( read more
