Sadly, the experience has been getting worse, and today was the final straw. Cast iron sets were clearly advertised at $14.99 on a shelf with multiple price tags. Several customers, including myself, picked them up expecting that price. At checkout, however, the cashier refused to honor it and tried to charge over $40 per set--almost triple the advertised price. She claimed they were "misplaced by another customer," which made no sense given the organized shelf and the fact that multiple shoppers were misled in the exact same way, all lining up at the same cashier one after the other. When I asked for a manager, two employees presented themselves as managers. One walked away when shown the display, and neither offered their names or resolved anything. After I pressed further, the cashier admitted that those individuals were not managers at all--only regular employees. It was only then, after wasting significant time, that she offered to call the real manager. This was not just about one product--it was a clear case of misleading advertising and employee misrepresentation. Both actions are prohibited under: * Federal law: The Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 41-58), which bans deceptive or misleading advertising. * Maryland law: The Maryland Consumer Protection Act (Md. Code Ann., Com. Law § 13-301), which prohibits unfair, abusive, or deceptive trade practices, including false or misleading representations of fact and failure to disclose material information. The refusal to honor the posted price, combined with impersonating management, reflects a serious disregard for customers and for the law. Be warned: this store engaged in misleading advertising, and multiple shoppers were misled today.

They have a nice big garden center but don't take care of it. Most of the plants were dead, dying, or desiccated. Plants that should not take full sun are baking in the sun. Thousands of dollars worth of dead plants and shrubs were shrink-wrapped on metal racks and set to the side of the building so carelessly. No registers outside even though there's a big sign that says PAY HERE. There is never more than one register open but many employees walking around. Help the cashier out!

Some were good, others were just okay. Here is what I got: CHINESE BROCCOLI - some were long, and others seemed like they were already cut short. I don't know if that is how it is normally sold. Goya PLANTAIN CHIPS - the chips were light overall, but slightly salty. I still enjoyed it. 80% COCONUT WATER WITH PULP - I enjoyed this, but I am not sure I would get it again. I couldn't find a brand on the can and some of the wording said to chill before drinking, but yet it was stocked on a shelf. I may just stick to a brand I know, next time. I also got another juice - Mogu Mogu LYCHEE JUICE with bits of the fruit in the drink, but found that the lychee bits were going down my throat quicker than I had a chance to eat them (not sure I'll get that again even though I enjoyed the drink). BUTTER CREAM BREAD - even though I liked this, it was not as soft. I got one or two other items, but I'll probably get them elsewhere next time due to the high price. Overall, I saw so many flavors and varieties of things. The place stayed busy. I would probably go back again, but with the same friend, and maybe pay more attention to details. It was my first time going to this type of store.

Seafood section smelled fishy (compared to 99 Ranch and Whole Foods). The upside is they stock fresh kumquat, that's a rare find. The prepared food section: They have only one pot of tofu stew believe it or not (it's the mainstay of Korean food). The place just looked sad and not well stocked. Not many snack options either.

As the name suggests, there are specialty food items from all over Europe. While I saw some things like English teas, German cookies, and a few Greek items, it seemed like the majority of the offerings were from Eastern Europe. I think over half of the products had labels in Cyrillic alphabet with no translation on them in any fashion, so some things you just gotta know what it is or ask the staff. I saw a lot of things from Georgia and Ukraine, but I think I saw other products from that region (Russian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, etc.). The staff were very friendly, and cheerfully assisted me with some of the pastries we purchased. One had a nice balance of flaky pastry and fruit filling while the blintzes seemed a bit underwhelming. I also picked up a bottle of dessert wine and Children #1 and #2 picked out some candies that caught their eye. The inside is clean and somewhat small but easy to navigate. There is music playing (I don't know what language; I want to say Russian but in today's climate that could be a charged statement. Just want to say it positively adds to the vibe). Worth checking out, if you want to explore a product you might not otherwise be exposed to or if you want to find a specialty European item that you've been missing.
