You can barely turn around in there and everyone is in everybody else's way. The cashier didn't even greet me and when I went to swipe my SNAP card, it came up insufficient so she has me go through the process of swiping it again. I thought she read my amount and put it in but it comes up declined again and she just stared at me. She could have read the amount I had off the decline slip but very clearly she didn't want to do anything above her pay grade. Won't be back.

He picks up fresh produce at Eastern Market in Detroit and then has set appointments with regular clients to bring it directly to their homes. When we don't have time to (or don't want to) go to the store, we can get fresh produce as well as farm-fresh eggs and more brought right to our front door. He has a good variety of fruits and vegetables on the truck but if you want something a little out of the ordinary, let him know the day before and he will try to find it at Eastern Market for you. He always has good quality items for sale and stands behind them on the odd chance something wasn't what we expected. Joe operates in different areas on different days and we have a general day and time for him to stop at our house. Sometimes we text him our minimum list the day before and then, when he gets here, we also can go on his truck and see what else we want. If we need to skip a week, we just text him in advance. Joe is great at telling us when things are ready to eat or whether they need to sit for a couple of days. The Green Grocer's prices are reasonable considering you never had to leave your house (unless you go onto his truck, of course). I still watch for sales and hit the stores but have cut down on the number of trips and my time spent running around. My daughter and I were having a good time shopping and picking out plants. Everything was great until it wasn't. When we got to the checkout we had a couple cut in front of us and I called them out to move to the back of the line to only be informed that these people have previously checked out and wanted to get something else quickly. The cashier didn't ask them to move to the back of the line of people waiting but continued to help them anyways. Which wasn't the worst part of my experience. My daughter was looking for yard decorations and wanted to show me something she thought was cool when a worker yelled across the room "HEY LITTLE GIRL DONT TOUCH THAT!!" Then continued to bend down and get close to my daughters face (who was already froze from being yelled at by some crazy old lady) and continued to tell her the item she was showing me was SO expensive and she would break it if she keeps messing with it. I told the lady she was fine meaning SHE'S OBVIOUSLY NOT GOING TO TOUCH IT ANYMORE and she looked at me and said "NO ITS NOT FINE" and continued telling her the $30 item cannot be touched by children and wouldn't stop until I told the women I GOT IT!! My daughter is 5. She was in my 5 year olds face and is incredibly lucky I didn't get into hers. My first initial thought was to leave my entire cart and let the rude employee put away the flowers I was shopping for but I ended up buying it so I could just get out of there. She completely ruined our experience and day after that with her horrible attitude. She was brunette wearing a bandana or whatever it was around her forehead. The frosting was good but the cake was dense, tough and not at all sweet. It's taste and texture was more like cornbread than cake.

Tables are not cleaned after all. It gets busy with a line formed around the counter. Ordered a mangonada queen and a coctel de fruta sin dulce o chili, fruit only. Just got the watermelon, mango and pineapple. $14 The watermelon looked old and water logged, every piece of it, wasn't so good. The Mango isn't super ripe. Pineapple wasn't so good either. The entire fruit bowl was disappointing. The mangonada queen is so-so. Would likely be better if the mangoes were ripe. $10 minimum to use a credit card. I got a mechanical pencil to sign the credit card receipt, which kept breaking on me to sign and put in the tip and total.
