Probably my first 1 star review for a halal family owned joint. This is the worst Chinese you can even have in your life and the worst customer service you can experience. I took my family who was visiting us from another stage to this place even though I know their food isn't great I decided to give them a try since it has been a long time since I had their Chinese like 5+ years. The food came in immediately which made me suspicious but when we started eating that's when we realize the food was completely stale, the beef smelled bad, chow men was terrible and what else can I say. Pay attention and you will notice there is never more than one or maybe two tables occupied inside of this establishment. If you look more closely, you will see they appeared to be family members of the restaurant owners. Unfortunately I gave this restaurant a try anyway a few months ago. Yes, they deserve 4 stars, not the 3, which I gave them last year. This time around I did not dine in. They delivered to our house in Boynton from West Palm Beach (10 stars) based on just that. That's quite a drive and they charge 5-10 dollars delivery charge depending on your location. They had my food delivered exactly in a hour and actually mentioned that time frame when I ordered so that was very considerate of them. When your in a tired or lazy mood this is a great choice because they taste better than other chinese take out places in the area. Compared to last year, I think the cook changed because everything we ordered tasted very good. And everything was packaged very nicely instead of things spilling out of the containers etc. We ordered a bunch of yummy stuff. The beef and cheese wontons were delicious. The chicken fried rice was excellent. The beef Szechuan dish was good but I would tell them next time less onions. Also the chicken chilli dish we ordered was on point as well. You call to order and it's through grub hub phone company. I wanted to pay in cash but they insist accepting a card. So I just told the woman on the line that I would order in person and then she allowed me to order and pay on arrival. I'm told it's $12.94 with tax. I get there and the woman tells me it's $14.60 and I tell her that's not what I was told on the phone and she insisted that that was the price with tax. Even the menu had the meal for $11. The best Desi halal Chinese cuisine resides near clematis in downtown west palm beach. Located one block from clematis surrounded by offices you will not be able to find this gem if you don't go looking for it but as downtown palm beach continues its upward trajectory since the financial crisis places like chopstick are starting to elevate their game to compete with the tons of options that are starting to open in this area. We were light shopping in city place and decided to grab lunch. We have been to this restaurant multiple times and I am actually surprised that I missed reviewing them. The food is definitely 5 stars and they could absolutely improve their decor and service but not everything is perfect in life. I love their chicken corn soup for starters. They serve it in a big bowl which is good for 4 people even though they insist it's for 2. We also ordered the chicken fried rice along with the Mongolian beef and by the time we were done we were overstuffed. I do not recommend I literally did not eat the rest of my food with just a first bite

So it's been five years since I went to Chopsticks. Based on my past experience, I didn't want to go, but my friend only eats halal (like kosher for muslims), and he was paying, so he won. Yeah, this is a Chinese restaurant owned by Bengalis, so you get halal Chinese food with that Chittagong touch. We ordered garlic beef, chicken manchurian, some red soup, and rice. It was the combo for two. The chicken tasted really weird-almost powdery?? I'm not sure if it was old, or this is some new cooking trend-but either way, it wasn't palatable. I have had the chicken manchurian from Chopsticks at Pakistani family parties, and it is usually really good. So I don't know if they have a different chef for catering or what. But the restaurant Chicken manchurian was terrible. I then tried the Garlic beef, which was battered beef in sweet and spicy sauce. It was marginally better than the chicken, but it had so much crispy batter that it was basically like eating beef donut strips. The only thing I liked was the red soup. Every time I come here, I'm left dissatisfied and perplexed-I wonder, how is this place so successful, and what do people actually like about it? Am I ordering from a different menu? I'm not really a picky person at all, but my experiences here are uniformly bad. I wish I could write a more glowing review for my subcontinental brethren, but (un)fortunately, my commitment to an honest review must prevail. update: I just ate here tonight (09/24/2016) with my friends. Ok, I didn't come here for the longest time because of the Yelp reviews. This was despite hearing raving recommendations from several people that were regular patrons of this restaurant. Upon arrival, this place was nicely decorated with tablecloths and cloth napkins. It is a approximately a block away from the intercostal. I was greeted by a non-Asian staff even though I don't consider this to be a requirement for great Chinese food. The food was fresh, hot, and tasty. I was pleasantly surprised. I do not recommend. I always give a second chance before I review. Off days happen. Pros- they package up their food really well. Egg rolls are bigger than normal and use a spring roll style paper. I like it. Cons - 1st order from a few months ago was the Happy Family. It smelled off and tasted off. I had one bite and gave it a proper burial. 2nd order - Tried it again tonight and the General Tso's was awful. I opened the bag and was slapped in the face by a burnt smell. It was the chicken. Tasted it and confirmed. The chicken itself wasn't burnt, it did have a weird slimy texture. But chewy. The sauce was burnt. It tasted off. Fried Rice isn't like the expected fried rice but that doesn't help the case. It also tasted burned. The burnt smell is so bad a friend stopped over and commented on it. Wow my 99th review and what has to be one of the worst food experiences I have had. The ever so classic Chinese food. How could it be so bad? Good question. Let's start with the two dishes. Cold sesame noodles and House Special Shrimp. Both were salty beyond comprehension. The Noodles were terrible and if you would have added peanut butter to spaghetti and thrown in red pepper flakes you would have had a better version. The shrimp was a congealed mass of fried bread with a brown sauce. The coatings were so thick I would have no clue if there was shrimp there. We ordered General Tzos chicken, chicken chow mein and 2 egg rolls for delivery. The Generals chicken was fine but the chow mein looked like soup and I don't even think it was chow mein. We also only got 1 egg roll. We called back and they said they would fix it and bring a new order right away. After 45 minutes of them not showing up we called again and she was "on her way". It took over an hour for the fixed food to come and it was too late to eat by then. If no stars were an option that's what I would chose. Highly don't recommend ordering from here.
