There was No Towel provided, one wash station was left VERY dirty so I used the other one which was slightly better. The Drying machine was broken at the hose connection, which made the job soooo much harder and took way more time. One man came in w/his dog, took a look & said I guess were going to Chow Hound. If I had known BEFORE I got started washing my dog I would have gone too, but once my very thick dog's undercoat was wet, i had to finish there. I cannot believe how long it took me to blow-dry my dog with the broken equipment. This really used to be a great facility. Please address the facilities that you offer; fix your broken equipment and include at least one towel. The only reason I come here is because the water pressure is good which helps with rinsing thick dog furr.

As a non-driver I like to have as many mobile services as possible on our roster because it just makes our life simpler. After I called and made an appointment for Blue and explained that I was allergic to nearly everything on the planet Earth, Jessica was kind enough to work with us and offer to use our shampoo to bathe Blue. I also explained that Blue suffers from arthritis and we worked out a plan for Blue-Bird to not need to stand during her entire haircut and bath. Blue has been groomed before and I always felt a tad apprehensive dropping her off at the other groomer, but I have to say, even though I knew she was just in front of the house, I felt at ease with Jessica. After her bath and trim Blue looked amazing! The best part, Blue, a normally shy and timid senior dog who does not warm up around strangers, was so happy. It was obvious that even though Blue had just had a bath, which is not her favorite activity, she was treated sweetly because Blue was in a good mood. For practical purposes, I had been brushing and trimming Blue for the past four or five years, but she needed a professional to clean her up a bit. Blue received a mini groom and because she was sensitive around the ears and my allergies precluded the ear cleaning, her ears were just wiped out. Her nails were trimmed and the hair around her feet were trimmed. The dryer and brush got out a lot of her undercoat. She looks fantastic and her coat feels so much better.

I was confident that my dog would look great. Unfortunately, when I picked him up, I didn't complain about his appearance. She did tell me if there was anything more I wanted done to tell her. There is nothing she could have done to make him look better. He is an elderly Maltese and I keep his hair long. I asked that he have his tummy trimmed, not to cut any hair off the ears. I also explained he gets food in the hair. Had asked for a clean shaven face. She suggested a poodle cut. I thought she meant for the face only. It looks like she attempted a poodle cut on the legs as well. He looks like my 7 year old granddaughter groomed him. I will not recommend this salon based on Teddy's appearance after he was groomed. I supposed if you have a dog that doesn't require specialized grooming, they would be fine. Definitely not for a Maltese based on my experience. The ladies at Geddes did a fine job handling him. Our other dog is a golden retriever named Gabe who I wanted to have groomed for bird hunting season, basically just taking off his burr-attracting feathering on his legs, belly and tail, and of course a toenail trim. I could not have been happier with the result. Although the groomer had not ever done this, she used resources that showed her a gun dog "sport cut," and nailed it. He looked great. She even pointed out a small yeast infection the old fellow had going on his chest and suggested how to get rid of it with cider vinegar. It worked! Am taking Gabe back for what might be his last bird hunting season as he's close to 11 years old now. He might be slower than he used to be in the woods, but he'll be looking better than ever.

We had been dealing with previous behavior issues with the dogs and had gone through several classes already. We were referred to Angie from one of my husband's co workers and highly recommend her. She was very personable and treats our dogs as if they are her own. She gave us amazing tips and was a great teacher. She worked with us to handle all the issues with our dogs and is always there to support you via texts, phone calls and in person visits at any time! She really loves what she does and it carries into her work ethic. She constantly checks in with us and treats our boys very well. They love her and she has taught us how to be confident in teaching our dogs how to break bad habits. We appreciate everything she has done for us and continues to do for us! If you need a dog sitter, or someone to help you with training etc she is such a great teacher/friend.

This review is for a spay appointment we had in January, 2021. What a way to start the new year! First, the new building! It looks so beautiful from the outside. Clean, well-designed, and you can tell that it is them from the enormous dog statue inside! :) For pandemic spay appointments, you call in and reserve a spot on the calendar when they open the schedule for new bookings. I had to wait over an hour on the phone, but that is because they were closed for almost 2 months, I believe, because of the move. The phone staff were incredibly patient and kind. We drove up on the day of Rosencrantz's appointment, as directed. We waited in line while staff went car to car and ascertained who we were, and put an identifier on our car under the windshield wiper. We filled out the paperwork. Note: Everyone must be masked, and the cat had to be in a hard-sided carrier, per their emailed instructions. The staff members were masked and I felt safe in conversing with them. Then your car gets to the front of the line, and you hand over the carrier. Poor Rosencrantz was so unsure of what was going on! But I digress. At 4-4:30, you drive back and wait in line to pick up your pet. When we were able to get R, the staff member delivering her was very kind and patient with his time, while we asked questions and he gave specific directions. One thing that would have been good to put on the original directions is to quarantine them to a small room for a while, once you get home, and to have fresh litter. Upon reflection, that makes TOTAL sense, but sometimes we don't think ahead. The price was SO reasonable: $40 for a spay, and $20 for 2 vaccines. That price is much appreciated. It is able to be so low because of grants and other funding (thank you!). In all of our interactions with staff, everyone was SO kind and caring. I never felt rushed or had an unanswered question. Highly recommended!

Had an appointment to take my dog to get spayed since it's half the cost of a vets office. When you…read moreget there you have to go in sans dog to check in. I didn't think the people in the parking lot waiting for the place to open were very polite. I was the 2nd car in the lot but other people ran in front of me to check in so I became #4 (not the fault of the Humane Society!). After you check in you go get your dog, but you have to wait until the person in front of you has checked their dog in before you go. Which was kind of a problem in the freezing cold. Especially since I didn't want to lose my spot again to everyone else that was jumpy! My dog was fine after the surgery. She was drugged up so very lethargic but overall everything with the surgery went well. The staff was very nice and friendly. They were talking to the dogs and the people. I wish they would just have a better system to drop off that could be less of a run for it method!

What can you say about a small town pet supply store that has everything that you need...and more?…read more These guys are absolutely fantastic to deal with and get this...they will even keep track of any rebate offers where you have to buy so many bags of food, etc. and send them in for a rebate...and let you know when you're due for a rebate. They genuinely seem to care about the people walking in their door and take care of us like we're the only customer. They will haul your 40lb bag of dog food to your car too and then smile as you leave. The prices here are surprisingly in line with some of the larger volume stores in Kalamazoo so why go anywhere else.

Their selection is wide and the carry high quality products and food. Jim worked with me when we got our large breed puppy to find the perfect food, and tracked our usage to make sure he'd always have what we needed available when we were ready to restock. I love their specialty toys, they have great items for our strong jawed dog who chews through everything! Everyone who works here is so friendly, kind and loves animals. They make you feel special and show love to our pup each time we come in. I will always support this store, the little extra they do to make you feel special is why they excel at customer service.
