First time at this place and even though its was a Sunday, it was busy. Service was fast and friendly. Decided to go with the Turkey Dinner special and it was REALLY! Delicious and home made tasting. They even make their own cranberry sauce, not that canned crap! Next time the chowder, after all the place is named for it. Will let you know.

They have others to i didnt have any of these but it came with the fries. See above

Okay part three folks. First of all just saw a kid with an aerosmith type or something mullet with blonde highlights rock on kid haha. Huge portions. Our server was good the food was good and everyone seemed pretty happy with it, most of us couldnt even finish our food thats how big the portions were. We seated ourselves. Funny story our waitress was wearing a shirt from the tatamagouche beer place small world. I asked for ketchup she brought it "want more water? No problem she brought it and even some for my friend who i took a picture of at the other place. F fries were good my fish burger was good emphasis on the fish see pic for what they have

No mussels, no seared scallops, brought soup and meal at same time...meal got cold. Meal took a long time. But everything tasted good.

My husband and I ate dinner here tonight. I had the lobster…read moreroll with a side of potato salad. The potato salad was homemade, with egg and a mayonnaise-based dressing. As far as potato salad goes, it was excellent. The lobster roll was perfect, everything a lobster roll should be, in my opinion. The medium-sized lobster pieces (including several claws) were tossed with diced celery and mayonnaise, which was then placed on a Boston lettuce leaf inside a buttered and grilled top-sliced bun. My husband had the Sandpiper Special, a grilled lobster and cheese sandwich. Once again, the person working the grill produced a perfectly browned and toasted bread, and nestled between was saucy, gooey, melted cheese and delicate lobster. He washed it down with a great draft beer from a local craft brewery, Tatamagouche Brewing Company. We shared a strawberry shortcake for dessert. The homemade shortcake was sliced in half and layered with sweet macetated fresh strawberries (perhaps from the strawberry farm just up the road.) A large dollop of real whipped cream towered high above, but proved quickly to be just the right amount so that every mouthful contained the three components of the dish. The food and drinks all arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Our server was friendly and polite. For seven o'clock on a Tuesday night, the place was half full - very impressive. If you're looking for delicious, homemade food, prompt and friendly service, all with a good price, then this is the place to go. I hope we're able to return tomorrow for lunch before leaving the area.

We came in the early afternoon and it wasn't overly busy. Two servers didn't look overly interested in being there and were slow as slugs. There was a bartender mixing drinks who looked annoyed and a cook in the food truck who was the only one actually invested in what he was doing. Seating is flimsy and grinds on the concrete floors when you try to move. Tables were crammed quite close together because a musician eventually came in to set up. The space just generally looks poorly used. Our server took a long time coming over to bring us a pitcher of beer and then again to take our food order. The glassware was dirty so she apologized and brought new glasses. By the time we poured the beer, we noticed the pitcher was even filthier. Not sure if they ever wash them. The food is just ok. Nothing to write home about. Portions are on the smaller side. $14 was the Super Bowl special for a small bacon cheeseburger with nothing else, no side. $19 for fish and chips is a bit of a better deal because the fish is big but it's quite greasy. Fries were hard and stale and not really a generous portion - don't opt to pay $4 for them as a side! We watched the cook push out orders and wait around for the servers to pick them up. He'd look out trying to get their attention and seemed completely unimpressed with them. Other than brining our drinks and food, the server didn't bother to come by once in the hour + we sat at the table. When she finally came for us to pay, she seemed terrified to have to talk to a human. Overall, just a weird vibe for a place like this. This could be a great spot but it didn't leave a great first impression. Might give it one more shot next time we're in town, but we won't be ordering food. We'll see how long it takes to get an (overpriced) cocktail.

As this is Prince Edward Island (PEI), I had to order the super fresh oysters! Exceptional flavor, color, juice and you could tell these were only a few hours from being caught! They only needed a kiss of lemon and minimal if any Tabasco. Very tender and unique as these were from the St Lawrence River side NOT the Atlantic. If you're looking for a non- touristy place where the locals eat, this is one of those places! For cruisers- it's only 2 more blocks down from the cruise port!

Chunks of crab mussels and clams - not just minced in. Very very good. The halibut was a bit dry on the ends, but ok in the middle. The carrots were good, as were the baked potatoes. The potato salad tasted like egg salad, but was tasty. The mussels were ok, though we have had better. The lobsters were as expected. Mine was a female and had the added bonus of roe in her. I didn't enjoy tearing it up, I'll get the roll next go. The coconut crème pie was good, no meringue, slathered in real cream whipped cream. If you are limited on time(cruising time limits) or can make reservations, they are kind courteous and hard working to get you served in a timely manner. It was a little bit warm inside, and the outside seating is on the sidewalk next to the road. It's a cute place with charm and a lot of happy people. I doubt I will return - it was good, but when having to pay top dollar for your meal, I would prefer less tourist driven faire.
