My husband and I ate dinner here tonight. I had the lobster…read moreroll with a side of potato salad. The potato salad was homemade, with egg and a mayonnaise-based dressing. As far as potato salad goes, it was excellent. The lobster roll was perfect, everything a lobster roll should be, in my opinion. The medium-sized lobster pieces (including several claws) were tossed with diced celery and mayonnaise, which was then placed on a Boston lettuce leaf inside a buttered and grilled top-sliced bun. My husband had the Sandpiper Special, a grilled lobster and cheese sandwich. Once again, the person working the grill produced a perfectly browned and toasted bread, and nestled between was saucy, gooey, melted cheese and delicate lobster. He washed it down with a great draft beer from a local craft brewery, Tatamagouche Brewing Company. We shared a strawberry shortcake for dessert. The homemade shortcake was sliced in half and layered with sweet macetated fresh strawberries (perhaps from the strawberry farm just up the road.) A large dollop of real whipped cream towered high above, but proved quickly to be just the right amount so that every mouthful contained the three components of the dish. The food and drinks all arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Our server was friendly and polite. For seven o'clock on a Tuesday night, the place was half full - very impressive. If you're looking for delicious, homemade food, prompt and friendly service, all with a good price, then this is the place to go. I hope we're able to return tomorrow for lunch before leaving the area.

If you would like an upscale meal while being able to just cruise in off the street then this is your place. While we made reservations, you could have found a table at the same time(7pm). Although not pictured currently I enjoyed probably one of the best crème brûlée desserts I've had in my life (out of 50-60 times ordered). It was both creamy yet had a nice sugar flamed crust. Great plate presentation. The decor and ambiance of this old house turned restaurant is top notch. We sat on what used to be an open deck which is now closed in. Our server(Jimbo) was both professional and friendly while very knowledgeable about the entire menu. Every dish was very nicely prepared and every plate was completely eaten which is rare for all four of us. My wife and I also used one of the plate sides as an appetizer: kettle chips with a balsamic glaze and bleu cheese aioli. It was delicious!! I personally enjoyed the Seafood Linguini dish, the pasta was fresh, seafood was plentiful and the white wine garlic tarragon crème sauce was smooth and very delicious. Definitely worth the price. Overall we truly enjoyed our dinner and the experience. Thank you for bringing a big city style menu to your quaint seaside small town.

Very cute interior and setup/decor. Service was attentive and good. Food was excellent. Ordered the oysters, chowder, muscles, scallop dog and lobster roll. Unsurprisingly, the oysters were fresh and delicious. They had a little chart that showed where the oysters were harvested on the island. Everything was delicious and recommended.
