June 23/2026: Solo travel lunch. Let's start with the food. I asked my server "Leah L" if the scallops were prepared, battered & finished "in house" she said they were. They WEREN'T. As a lifelong Scallop consumer I KNOW the difference between in-house battered scallops & what's brought in from a food distributor. I ordered a Scallop Meal ($40.99) with fries, which were very good & an extra order of scallops ($16.99). I wouldn't have purchased or even eaten at this spot if they weren't in fact house prepared scallops. The fried scallops were place on a bed of wet lettuce garnishing, everyone knows that when you place something fried on something wet...the fried food becomes soggy! As for the service was ok but I had to ask for a water refill, extra napkins & I ran out of tartar sauce. A really good server monitors their patrons from afar & knows to take care of the things above BEFORE the patrons asks. This location positions themselves as very good but they're just mediocre with really expensive scallops! Keep In mind that this is a very small location with seating for about 20-30 people. I'd maybe do again but I wouldn't make it a destination. From my experience, there's likely better seafood restaurants on PEI.

    Lobster roll to go!

This was our first lobster roll on our vacation and it did not disappoint. They didn't have availability for seating so we ordered to go. The only reason for 4 stars was because one staff said they we could eat our to go order on the picnic tables outside and then another staff said we couldn't. Maybe add some signs so the expectation is clear.

Best Lobster Roll on our stop to Prince Edward Island, while cruising with Hollander America! Always a line out front, so this corner spot is the choice. Glad we didn't share. I loved every bite! Probably won't return on another cruise, but I highly recommend. Loved the vibe.

Came here after a round of golf. Was sat down immediately. Host was very kind. Place is known for their lobster roll and tbh it didn't disappoint. Lobster is served chill but you can get warm butter if that's your thing. The clam chowder is perfection especially on a cooler night. I would go back for the clam chowder. Lastly the coconut cream pie..chefs kiss. Just order it. Only regret is that you should've ordered two! I did see a lot of people order the lobster dinner and I wish I had to try it. It looked amazing.

I was in the area and wanted a lobster roll, so hit up my Yelp app and found Water Prince Corner Shop so off we went. We sat outside at the picnic tables and ordered my lobster roll, but for the side I traded for a side salad. The side salad was fresh and so dang good. The lobster roll was one of the best I have had. The lobster was so fresh tasting. The bun toasted and buttered up nicely. This was just what I was craving! Service was great and everyone was friendly. If in the area go give them a try!

Water Prince came highly recommended on Yelp and TripAdvisor. We had a table outside and arrived early. By the time we had finished our lunch, there was a wait for a table. This place is your quintessential Prince Edward Island lunch spot. The building is over 200 years old and it was just a lovely little place. Our waitress could not have been more helpful. She shared some insights on the building, the area and on the menu. We opted to split the lobster roll, which was market price. We also split the mussels. The mussels were absolutely phenomenal. The white wine sauce/broth was exceptional. We also really enjoyed the lobster roll, which was served with a delicious potato salad. We had local beers called Beach Chair lager, and they were great. It was really a great experience. We would highly recommend stopping in for some delicious seafood.

This lobster joint is on the corner, right when you leave the cruise port. Wow! So close to get to what is quite possibly the best lobster place in town. Everything was generously served, and the quality of the seafood was so fresh! Fresh mussels, fresh lobster, cooked for you on the spot, seafood chowder, and my very first lobster roll. Have to admit, it was my first one, but oh my gosh, what a sandwich! The service was homey and warm, just the nicest people working there! I'd give you recommendations, but I would just recommend everything! Order whatever you want you won't be sorry.

Ordered take out and the food was delicious! I had the scallop sandwich and potato salad and my mom had a hot dog and onion rings. We got food from here 2 years ago and really enjoyed it so definitely wanted to eat here again. The food is delicious and the price is much better than other places we have eaten! Highly recommend!

Cozy place with great local seafood.

This is a cruise ship destination with lots of touristy shops in the area. We were looking for a good and local seafood meal and were steered here. Yes, we were sitting with lots of other tourists but the place was cozy, the service was friendly and the seafood was delicious. We had lobster rolls that were plentiful and a great value as well as mussels- a huge portion and delicious. If you're there with a cruise ship, get there early or expect to wait.

this is a picture of the mussels served in a bowl, these came complimentary with the lobster!

The food was fantastic, with great lobster, scallops, and mussels. the service is great and it is a must visit restaurant in Charlottetown, as it sits near the water and holds a rich history of seafood cuisine. The interior isn't the most aesthetic there for It is a 4 star for me.

When in PEI, you have to have some of their infamous seafood...even when you're stuffing yourself like a sausage on a cruise ship! We had the seafood chowder (salty), malpeque oysters (fresh), PEI clams (very sandy), and lobster roll (small bits of lobster and not much flavor). All average. Honestly, you can skip this place and you won't be missing out.

The Water Prince Corner Shop is an old time institution filled with photos of famous patrons and always bustling with full tables. We booked ahead and was seated promptly, but our server was super busy and we waited for a while as she whipped around table to table. We finally got our orders in and spent most of the time taking in all the decor and photos that plasters every inch of the space. We shared some mussels and I had the fishcake with salad. If it had been our fish meal at PEI, we would have been more impressed but we found the food to be average after some spectacular meals around the island. Overall okay but not a must go.

Place is famous. Lines out the door. Not sure why. The place has some nice charm with beautiful decorations. But they sell lobster by the pound and dont give you what you order. Ordered a 1 pound lobster was given 1.5 pound lobster and only found out when paying the bill. I hate bait and switch restaurants. I did however enjoy their local wine list. They had Matos Winery wines available which was great. I'm a fan of their chardonnay and they actually had it here. Mussels were good. I guess anything fresh always tastes good. But there are definitely better places to eat in charlottetown. I probably wouldn't ever come back bc it's just so so.

The food and service were both amazing! The Nova Scotia salmon and wild blueberry pie were fresh and fabulous at a good price.

While in Charlottetown, we managed to eat our way around town. Seems to be a theme for us when we…read moretravel, discover the people and destination through their food. Dave's Lobster was a highlight. Mr. Bee ordered the Half & Half Lobster Roll. One half of the sandwich was "The Local", which was 1/4 lb. of tender and sweet chilled lobster tossed in seasoned mayonnaise, with crisp celery and fresh chives. The other half of the lobster roll was filled with 1/4 lb. of warm lobster tossed with lemon garlic butter and fresh chives. Both were scrumptious. The flavor of the lobster was sweet. It was really nice to have a chilled half of sandwich and a warm half of sandwich. They both were different, but we couldn't decide on a favorite. I decided no lobster for lunch so I chose a grilled cheese. It was served on the same bread as the lobster roll, but the middle was filled with ooey gooey cheese and then smashed like a panini, it too was different and really good. But that doesn't mean I didn't sneak a bite or two of the lobster roll. The eatery is down on the water in a cute bungalow building. The interior is roomy and so bright and cheerful and spotlessly clean. They offer a few outdoor patio tables, and it was such a beautiful and warm day we ate outside and it was lovely. The service was excellent and the young woman working the counter was so helpful in explaining the different lobster rolls they offer to help us choose and her recommendation was spot on. This was truly the best lobster roll we had on the trip.

While in PEI we had to get a lobster roll and we had not bookmarked Dave's, but saw it and thought…read moreit would be a good place to go. The choice of rolls here and most places are to have them cold or warm, and we found we like the cold ones better. The roll comes with a side and we both picked coleslaw. I got a local beer which was a blueberry ale that was pretty refreshing. The food was not as cheap as some places and the two letters MP (market price), typically mean I will be paying more, in this case the roll and side was over $30. There was a generous amount of lobster on the roll and it was fresh but I felt it needed either more mayonnaise or some acid to bring out the flavors. The roll was toasted though and buttery but still lacking a bit. Overall a good lunch for someone who doesn't get fresh lobster rolls often.
