No mention of the hairdresser she hired that was fresh out of school and didn't even know how to braid. Luckily she was up front about it, very sweet girl, and I have alot of hairdresser friends whom I had to call on. Everyone but Chris, who mind you is the chef and we adored, is related to Misty. She leaves out her son painted lines on a parking lot that is really a pot holed mess from being a construction site. He was not dressed up for our elegant affair but in shorts and a t-shirt. Our centerpieces were not elaborate at all, literally a vase refilled with rocks and branches and 4 glass candle holders with candle inside they had to hang 5 crystals from the branches and scatter refilled containers of gem table scatter. How that is elaborate I don't know. For such a godly woman, alot of lying and stretching of the truth keeps happening. I'm not going to keep going with this back and forth. Misty ruined my wedding, plain and simple, but I was able to marry the man of my dreams. I don't wish on anyone what I went through, hence why I posted the review I did. Good luck to all you brides! She arrived an hour early to help set everything up which was SO helpful. The flowers were BEAUTIFUL and exactly what I had wanted. She had tulips, hydrangeas, daisies, and a few other spring time flowers, along with a few succulents and even a few pussy willows! The arrangements were the appropriate size and style for the shower and tables. I had requested a "flower buffet" type of thing, so that the attendants of the shower could make a bouquet to take home with them. She brought the flowers in these huge rustic tins, all cut and read to go. She had shears also so people could cut them even smaller if they wanted, and was ready to assist anyone. She had helpful tips for how to keep the flowers fresh. I absolutely love Christy's.. what I would describe as a raw and rustic aesthetic! She has a true passion not only for flowers, but for gardening and growing those flowers naturally. I am truly excited to be working with her for my wedding coming up in May as well, as I know everything will be beautiful! Recently attended a funeral luncheon at Kloc's. It was wonderful…read more The food was delicious! Set up buffet style. The hot items were served hot. Not sure how the food choices are made but we had roasted vegetables, red skin potatoes, pasta with red sauce, sliced sausage with peppers and onions and chicken. Salad and rolls were also served. I recommend them all. The staff on hand were friendly. They kept the tables cleared and water glasses filled. Sorry no pictures.

While we did much of the vendor selection and planning (site, florist, cake) on our own, Andrea reviewed contracts for us, came with us to planning meetings, and recommended vendors for areas we had not yet found one. She found people on short notice when things came up (e.g. piano player for our cocktail reception) and made sure that we had thought through all the issues for the day of our wedding. But the real value was on the day of the wedding. Andrea had everything moving on time, with little stress, and it just made things move by so smoothly. Andrea has great working relationships throughout the area which adds to her value in making sure things get done without a hitch -- and if there is a hitch - she'll fix it before it becomes a problem. We initially met Carla at Château du Feÿ, where she was employed. After a disappointing experience with another planner, we hired Carla 5 months before our wedding, hoping her 3+ years of specialized venue expertise would be invaluable. To our surprise, Carla had not worked with half of our vendors before - even though they were part of the short list of recommended vendors provided by the venue. Despite her website's claims, Carla's design suggestions felt generic and lacked the personalized touch we were looking for. Carla's lack of attention to detail became increasingly apparent as we worked with her. Our wedding had many unique and custom details. Lots of information that a seasoned wedding planner would be able to keep an attentive handle on. The mounting oversights caused significant stress in the final weeks leading up to the wedding. We were genuinely anxious that our vision wouldn't be realized. Luckily, we had multiple vendors and family friends that helped Carla execute the event. As the bride, I distanced myself as much as possible from Carla to allow myself to enjoy the day without frustration. This is not the typical experience. While we appreciate Carla's willingness to take us on with short notice, and she did have some helpful insights regarding sourcing a local florist and unique videographers, her lack of attention to detail ultimately overshadowed those positives.
