This limo service actually deserves a negative rating!!! I had contracted with them to provide limo service for my son's wedding at West Point, NY and paid a deposit of $400 in March 2008 for the wedding, which took place on January 17, 2009. The service was recommended by friends and they actually took the time to inspect the vehicles to make sure they were okay. On the day of the wedding the first limo arrived at the hotel to transport the saber bearers and groom to the Cadet Chapel at West Point. Upon arriving at the main gate it was discovered that the driver did not have photo ID, so the limo was stopped. Bear in mind that a wedding at West Point is a timely affair and they do not allow you to start late or extend the services. It is also a Federal installation - a fact that seemed to be lost to the limo service. I was still at the hotel and instructed the other limo driver to load up the groomsmen, my wife and I only to discover that he too did not have photo ID! We commandeered a Ford Explorer to transport us to the chapel. At this point, the anxiety level - already at a high point - peaked at the hotel. It was no secret that the wedding was at West Point and that photo ID was required - not to mention the fact that both drivers were operating vehicles without their drivers license - a fact that seemed to have little meaning to them. I'm sure the local or State Police would not be impressed with the fact that both drivers "left their wallets at home". The first limo driver was issued a federal citation which, unfortunately, will probably be thrown out after valid ID is presented. Luckily, we had a qualified (and licensed) limo driver handy ( a wedding guest, no less) and he literally jumped in the limo (telling the driver to get out) and transported people to the chapel on time. The limo driver actually was forced to stand at the gate while someone brought him proper ID. My son ended up, standing at the gate (in extremely cold conditions) directing traffic until someone forced him to get in a vehicle and go the the chapel. The MPs were very apologetic but he just told them they were doing their job. I gave the company a check for half of the balance due (before the reception started) in order to ensure that they would pick up the bride and groom after the reception and take them to their hotel. On the way to the hotel the bride became ill and used a plastic bag so as not to soil the limo. The limo driver had the nerve to leave the bag on the front porch of the B&B to be discovered by my son the next morning. Obviously professionalism is not part of their service agreement. I called them today to inform them that a stop payment had been initiated and that, if possible, I would also like to receive my deposit as well. The owner had the nerve to tell me he was upset that I was not paying him since he felt that they had upheld their part of the contract and picked up and delivered on time. Bottom line, there are numerous limousine services in the area so don't bother to use Hudson Valley Limousine. read more

Both drivers were very kind in performing my special request to surprise to grandnephew. On our return home, they met us at the airport on time and navigated the very congested pickup area in order to get all seven of us comfortable seated and on our way. Joey was my driver. He arrived 15 minutes early, greeted my friends and I. We used this company for a 5 hour wine tour. Joey was prompt to respond when we were ready to go. I think the vineyards had a designed area for limos, I'm not sure. We got to every vineyard safely, and he had very good timing. He knew where to go, and had a lot of patience with my group. The car was clean, and had a Bluetooth if you want to listen to music on your phone. There were disposable cups and ice available. Their prices were the most reasonable, that I had found, in Hudson Valley. Some were charging close to $1,000 for 5 hours! I'd highly recommend this company and use them again. read more

Don't hire these guys. You won't have a good time. If you need more details, here is our story: We hired them for a ride from Milford, PA to the Newark airport. We had 4 adults and 2 kids under 2 years old. When he showed up, his plan was to go all the way up to Middletown NY, THEN take 87 to Newark airport. Did the guy not realize he drove 30-45 minutes to come get us, and that driving BACK to his location was a waste of time? I hate to sound like the know-it-all customer, but with Google Maps, it is pretty stupid to even argue over directions. Our 'slower' way that we kept telling him was 206-15-80, and was 66 miles to the airport, or 1 hour 23 minutes. His plan? 105 miles, and 1 hour 53 minutes. Why don't they use GPS?! They are a driving company, wouldn't saving fuel be important? So after we get about 20 minutes down the road, the driver opens the shade and then proceeds to argue with me for about 20 minutes on how his way was so much faster, etc. I tried to explain to him that Google maps factors in speed limits, traffic, etc. The driver was just a plain thick-headed idiot. I had to ask my wife to turn on music so he would shut up and leave us alone. We had planned to stop at a sandwich take-out place that was 15 feet off the road we were currently on. Even had an order placed with them and was just going to run in and pick it up. The driver then decided to open the shade and told us he was going to charge us an extra $75 to stop there. I guess $275 to drive us 66 miles isn't enough, and they wanted to either get rid of us as soon as possible, or they wanted to squeeze more money out of us. Obviously we cancelled our lunch order and just wanted to get the hell away from this service as quickly as possible. In this day and age, with every single cell phone having GREAT driving directions/gps service, why the hell won't they use them? Instead, they want to add driving time/miles?! Makes no damn sense to me. Take your business elsewhere, there must be better options! Oh, and don't use the glasses provided in the limo. They look like they haven't been cleaned in years. read more

I just recently used this company again for my friends Bachelorette party. This company again gets the thumbs up. They were excellent. The car was very clean, and that is one of my problems with other limo companies. They decorated the car, at no additional cost, and the bride to be was very surprised. The driver again arrived on time as scheduled, we got to our destination on time. with no problems He was very accomodating and courteous the whole night. The whole evening was absolutley perfect. Save Yourself, DO NOT use this limo service. I booked this limo service for a wine tasting trip for my boyfriends 30th Birthday on 11/8/14. My initial game plan was to head to Brotherhood winery first since we were coming from Rhinebeck. I wanted to head south and then work our way back north since we reserved the limo for 5 hours. Our driver, Scotti, told us that winery was 2 hours away. He LIED, it was an hour from our location. Then he would recommend wineries but had NO concept of the distance/areas of the wineries. He told us he didn't want to go to Brotherhood winery first but then recommended a winery on our last stop that was in the SAME area. Brotherhood winery and Palaia winery are 15 minutes apart! The driver obviously got some kind of kickback for bringing us their because he was very friendly with the owners of the Palaia winery in Highland Mills, NY. They also FORGOT the complimentary bottle of champagne. We almost got into an accident since our driving was going fast on local roads. Overall, very DISAPPOINTING experience. The driver was NOT helpful and neither was the management. I was very STRESSED out after our driver told me he did not want to go to our first destination and then I had to re-coordinate our plans. This was a terrible experience and I would never recommend this limo service to anyone!!! read more

I scheduled a town car from Hudson Valley Limousine to pick me and my husband up from our wedding last weekend and they never showed up! When I called them to see where they were (as I was standing there waiting in my wedding dress), they were very nasty and accused me of booking the wrong date. I had to call my bank to cancel the charge for services not rendered because they refused to give me a refund. I strongly discourage anyone from using this company. read more
