But with MetLife HMO ,, with her charging $250 per deep cleansing, we had to pay $90 . For only half side of the teeth! So unreanable. True she put up all images of x ray of our teeth and explained the problems clearly. But the charges were very high! That Hispanic woman being account manager was horrible . It took me a long while to get the charging schedule from her! I had to keep asking in the second appointment before I could receive an email of the charge schedule from her! Poor attitude! The receptionists at the front desk had the coldest look on the face! When I asked questions, never got a straight answer! Poor service! Never helpful! When it came to my husband, after taking x-ray of all images of all teeth and the head, Kerry did explain clearly the teeth by pointing to the photos on big monitor, but forced him to deep cleansing charging $90 half mouth again. We requested to get regular cleansing first she refused. We did book next appoitment for deep cleansing. When the day came, those clerks called and told us insurance changed. I asked who changed our insurance. They didn't say. I asked MetLife dental, they told me we were switched to new dentist. Who did that? Don't know! Of course, I know . Kerry Lee kicked us out because she could not scam money from us! My previous dentist had been with us 20 yrs changed to Cigna dental so we can't go back to him. He never charged almost down to nothing! Kerry Lee is not honest in getting her business going . She kicked us out and lied to us blaming on insurance not covering us seeing her. She is far too greedy in getting money from client! I never felt right from first second going into her office! Even worst, she kicked us in end of November, the new dentist refused to see us December, so my husband only have teeth clean once that year! Thanks to that horrible plaza dental group Kerry Lee! One of my biggest concerns was the cleanliness and the lack of professionalism I observed during my visits. While I was being given local anesthesia, the dental assistant and dentist were chatting with each other throughout the procedure, which made me feel that they were not giving the treatment their full attention. During my last visit, another male patient came into the office to complain about what he believed were unsanitary practices that had resulted in inflammation or infection around his tooth. Hearing this while I was there made me even more concerned about the hygiene standards of the office. More importantly, since having the deep cleaning done here, I have noticed a significant deterioration in how my teeth feel. I developed considerable sensitivity to both hot and cold, and my teeth now feel much more sensitive and problematic than they did before the treatment. I cannot say medically what caused these problems, but the change after my treatment here has been very noticeable and concerning. Based on my personal experience with the cleanliness, professionalism, and the condition of my teeth following treatment, I would not return to this dental office and cannot recommend it to others for sure.

But Dr. Marin's professional but friendly demeanor can put the most anxious patient at ease. The rapport he has with his patients is what sets him apart from all the other dentists I have seen. He takes the time to explain things and he is never in a rush to get to the next patient. Today, I finally came for my filling and as expected, I was asking for the numbing gel before I even sat on the chair. But Dr. Marin's hands are so light I didn't even flinch from that dreaded numbing injection I managed to avoid for months. He's also great with kids! He took one look at my mouth and did not do anything to evaluate and see if my pain is related to the crown or my gum. He just said I have to go back to the original prosthodontist. Because he would be liable if he touches my crown. His stance does not make any sense to me. What if your original doctor moves out of the area?

I did not have any problem scheduling an appointment. This dental place is located on Nogales and Colima inside of a plaza. My appointment time was 9 a.m. and I got there at around 8:30 a.m. However, I saw they put on the "open" sign at around 8:45 a.m. The front desk receptionist called Valerie was nice. She asked me to fill in the forms (about 4 pages) because I'm the new patient. The place was small and a bit old school but it was clean. I've been to a few new & modern dental places but the quality of care was not good. What I'm focused on is the care quality and service. I've waited about 10 minutes because she had to check my insurance. Then a lady called my name to go inside. (I forgot her name and she's also very friendly). The place was small inside and some of the equipment was a bit old but they were clean. However, she helped me to do the X-Ray gently and efficiently. I had many bad experiences at other dental places on doing X-Ray because my jaw bones are small so it's not easy for me to bite that X-Ray thing. She was so gentle and fast and I didn't feel pain at all. After that, she helped me to do the polishing first (many dental places do it at the end), and then Dr. Chan came in and examined my teeth and helped me to do the cleaning part. I'm surprised because many dental places have hygienists to do the cleaning. Dr. Chan is friendly and knowledgeable. He's also gentle on cleaning my teeth. The whole process was fast and easy and I left the dental place around 9:30 a.m. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I already scheduled my appointment about 6 months later.
