Saturday he texted that he has the numbers for me. Again on Sunday he texted me to say he the numbers. I called him and he said he would get back to me. Still heard nothing from him. I texted him Monday morning and he said he was on his way to Home Depot and Menard to see what they had. So basically he lied to me on Saturday and SUnday because he never had any numbers for me. He finally got back to me on Tuesday with a random price of $1900 cash. I asked for a formal invoice and brand of air conditioners he had. Never provided that to me. He was supposed to come on Thursday between 11:00 and 3:00 to install them. Never heard from him. I texted him for a time update. Never responded. Close to 3:00 I texted him to cancel the appointment and was not going to work with him anymore. Then he responded and said he did not see my previous text but he could come out on Friday morning. I told him I was going to look for another HVAC company to work with.

I recently needed a new water heater at home because mine started to leak from the bottom. I called and got a few quotes and Joe's price and service was the best. There were some that wanted to charge me extra for parts/ replacements and one said I can go get my own water heater and he'll just charge me for labor. Which means I would need to haul that big water heater home myself. With labor and the heater price, having joe take care of the job was a better choice! I recommend giving Allison Plumbing a try if you need things fixed at home. Joe is courteous, very knowledgable with what he does, professional, on time, honest, careful with work, and gives reasonable pricing. The majority of my reviews are restaurants only and after knowing he gets most of his business via word of mouth, I wanted to share my experience on here and give Allison Plumbing a good word. Our sump pump empties into a pipe that is *supposed* to go to the city storm sewer. It was…read moreclogged, so I had AHS come out to rod it. Well, it turned out to be a huge mess. The people who installed it in the 1970s did it ALL WRONG! Fortunately, I was able to work from home on these days, and Dan was able to show me exactly what was going on. He had an awesome device that not only shows the inside of the pipe, but also lets him track its location from above ground. The underground pipe took a right turn into the neighbor's yard, under their driveway, and into the *next* neighbor's yard, before hitting a blockage. After talking over a variety of options, I decided to have it fixed right (running a new line to the street). Yes, it was expensive, but reasonable for the work they did. My main point is that he laid out the different options and made his recommendation. He didn't pressure me, saying that he would do it however I wanted. He knew his stuff, and the work was top-notch quality. Even the city inspector pulled me aside and told me that Dan and his crew is known in the area for doing the job right.

Contacted Dan via phone today to get pricing on replacing a water heater. I was thinking a tankless…read moremaybe, but he really belittled the product (mainly I'm guessing now because he did not install them). So I asked for a price on an electric tank one. He said that he'd have to check "because of supply chain issues" - what he could get. He asked for me to text him my name and number and he'd get back to me. He did respond fairly quickly, but not what I expected. Attached photos are the complete text conversation - I had to laugh because it took longer from him to write what he did than to just tell me what mfg/model he was quoting. Did he really think I'd just approve an estimate, without him seeing the job and allow him to put in any heater he wanted to without question? C'mon man!
