I initially reached out to Chris to get pre-approved and talk through the loan offerings available through US Bank. I also had similar discussions with another bank, a credit union, and a local lender recommended by my agent. During our initial discussions, Chris was super clear talking me through my options with US Bank and walking through the home loan process. Where I slipped up was when our first offer was accepted months later. In the flurry of activity to review disclosures, schedule inspections, and reviewing comps, it just seemed to be more convenient at the time to go with a lender recommended to me by my agent to get us to close in 14-days. After our offer was accepted, it was only when that lender's latest disclosure numbers didn't line up with our discussions and the closing cost estimates seemed to skyrocket. It was then that I called Chris back, less than 14-days out from closing, to see what other options I had. Chris was able to break down why my current loan was a 'bad loan' and he was able to clearly lay out how his original pre-approval estimate was 'better'. My current loan included points to get my rate down to a number that US Bank was beating anyways and also had closing costs that Chris was able to beat in general. After pulling a last-minute audible and going with Chris instead, he was able to get me closed in under our aggressive 14-day close window. The loan process can be confusing and overwhelming for first-time home buyers and having someone provide clear and consistent communication throughout your home buying journey and someone who has the patience to walk you through the loan disclosure numbers is super important. Oh man! Chris is the best. I have gone through financing / re-financing processes multiple times over the years, and Chris is the best I have worked with. This review is long overdue! Chris is AMAZING. He is patient, kind, understanding, knowledgeable, SMART, and genuine! I am extremely lucky to have been introduced to him. Chris helped me get into my first home 4 years ago. I was a first time homebuyer with not a lot of cash. He was able to get my loan processed and educated me on the different types of loans. He PATIENTLY answered my 101 questions. It was very nerve wrecking to buy a townhome here in the South Bay for so much money. Nonetheless, Chris helped make the process super smooth and calmed my nerves. 2 years later, Chris helped me refinance my townhome! I initially had two loans.
