Frame Build & Design - Kitchen Remodeling

Frame Build & Design

(42 reviews)

This is an overdue review, but i wanted to wait at least 6 months to write out a full review!…read more It was my first time renovating anything. I wanted to redo the inside of my entire house (yes, EVERY inch) and didn't know who to work with. I was given quotes that were 3-4x my budget and had a contractor pull out of the project 2 weeks before my scheduled demolition. I got super discouraged until i found Frame Build & Design. They were able to work with what I had and made my experience very enjoyable. They provided me a rendering of what the inside of my house would theoretically look like, and I can confidently say that it looks pretty darn close to the pictures! I'm so pleased with how all my cabinets & fixtures turned out. I appreciate Idan for answering all my questions and dealing with my complaints. He was patient with me and would send a guy over to fix or add things that I wanted (like outlets on the ceiling for my speakers, patching holes, etc). He went above and beyond to get permits for renovating, be there for city inspections, and keeping me posted on progress. I will say however that if you are planning to hire this team, you will need to be hands on. This means being involved in EVERY decision! I had to pick out all my materials on my own to match the rendering provided in the beginning. FB&D provided some locations I could check out, but it required a lot of research on my end. It felt overwhelming as a first time home owner, but this is pretty normal from what I understand. FB&D had an interior designer on this project and she was a HUGE help in decision making. There's no perfect contractor. Yes there were some communication issues and yes there were some imperfections. Yes it took 2x my timeline. What renovation doesn't? But ultimately the FB&D team were very accommodating with my feedback and gave me my DREAM home. And I can say 7 months into living here, everything is still holding up great and nothing has broken! I highly recommend hiring them for your next project! They did a great job. I ultimately went over budget but that's totally expected (and totally on me)! Thank you Frame Build & Design!

He asked me very detailed questions that I hadn't thought about yet. I knew that he was detail-oriented and that he was already invested in my project even though I hadn't given him the go-ahead. I planned to do a room addition, which required an architect and getting those plans approved by the city. He took care of all the back and forth so that my focus could be on other aspects of the project. I had walls knocked down, a window put in, and new walls built. I added some aesthetic upgrades, which he took care of quickly. Daniel always responded quickly anytime I reached out to him. I was never stressed about the project, and he made sure to stop by regularly to look at the work that was done. He even noticed things that I hadn't and made sure the crew came back to correct them. Daniel is the lead that you want handling your project. I highly recommend him and his team and would use him again.

4.3/5 stars. After reaching out to numerous contracting companies and comparing quotes and…read moreservices, we chose Orange Home Builders since the price was reasonable and based on the reviews/online photos. Overall had a positive experience. The best part about Orange Home Builders is the quick communication, constant updates about the project, and the design assistance. My fiance and I were wanting to remodel the guest bathroom for years, but didn't feel comfortable with selecting our own materials. Orange Home Builders has design services with 3D rendering that helps bring your project to life. The final look of the project did match what we were expecting so that's great. The design process was pretty smooth, although I expected a little more expertise in terms of selecting materials from reputable companies. I appreciated getting a clean list of materials that we needed to buy - this helped so much to keep everything organize. However, the backsplash and side splash weren't on the list, so we had to order it later, which delayed the project. Most of the remodeling process was smooth. The workers tried their best to keep it clean and to keep the dust contained. One issue was that they told us in order to prevent the gap in the wall between the vanity and the wall, we would need to remove this section between the wall/door for an additional cost (a piece of wood could not be wedged in the gap), but when they did that, there was still a gap between the vanity and the wall. When we expressed our concerns, they were able to fill the gap but I'm not sure if removing the section between the wall/door was necessary. After the project was done, we inspected everything, and the towel bar and mirror were loose, but they came out to fix everything to satisfaction. Years later we reached out to the team regarding water leaking (there is a gap under the shower frame door so you need to shower a certain way to avoid water spilling out), and they brought out someone to fix it quickly. They comped this repair to demonstrate their dedication to customer service. Overall, this remodeling experience is way better than others due to the design services, accessibility, and quick communication from the team.

All his 5/5 star reviews are absolutely deserved. We bought a fixer-upper townhome that needed a complete refresh and Tixan Construction did a phenomenal job. What started as a dark/worn space is now a modern and bright home that we've received countless compliments on that the transformation can hardly be believed! In addition, some additional highlights from working w/ George/Tixan Construction: * [Great Communication] - George was an excellent communicator throughout our renovation. He provided timely responses to any texts/emails/calls throughout which greatly helped explain and minimize our concerns 1st time home owners. * [Excellent Prices] - George and his team provided excellent pricing for all work performed. Close friends/colleagues familiar with construction confirmed the competitive pricing provided for the work performed. * [Service] - George provided great customer service as he was very willing to provide his expertise and opinion on design and material selections to ensure we maximized the quality within our renovation budget. In addition, he works to ensure excellent quality in his work. As an example, we had some challenges with our stairs creaking and he was willing to revisit free of charge until the sound was either eliminated or minimized as much as possible. Overall, I highly recommend George & Tixan Construction for. He is truly a stand-out General Contractor amongst the crowd.

On top of that, they handled the entire permitting process, which made everything incredibly smooth and stress-free. David and Mo were extremely friendly, helpful, and supportive throughout the entire process. It was so reassuring to be able to rely on their expertise and know everything was being handled the right way. The team was professional, responsive, and communicated clearly every step of the way. Everything was completed on time, and the value for the level of quality and service was excellent. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality work.

From the initial planning phases to the final inspection, the entire team was professional, transparent, and incredibly skilled. Maximizing a smaller footprint (around 320+ sq. ft.) requires smart design, and they nailed it. The craftsmanship is excellent, though the project was delayed (primarily because of additional nuanced city requirements), their communication throughout the construction process kept us at ease. Though not everything went smoothly, they appropriately addressed and rectified any issues that popped up during the construction process. If you are looking to build an ADU in the OC area, save yourself the headache and go with this team. We gladly recommend OC Builders to family and friends. We were incredibly satisfied throughout the build process and of course the results are beautiful, and will definitely go with this team again should another project come up. Being in the engineering field, I'm admittedly not the easiest client--I pay a lot of attention to the technical details and have very high standards, but OC Builders Group has been incredibly accommodating and professional throughout. The conceptual design phase with Moe was great. He helped us navigate a functional design that included adding to the front of the house, extending the back to significantly increase our kitchen space, and adding a bathroom to one of the rooms to create a master bath. On the execution side, my project manager, Mike, has been fantastic to work with, and Casandra has been a huge help with scheduling and staying responsive to all my questions. It's rare to find a team that is this easy to work with when you're as detail-oriented as I am. I'm really looking forward to seeing the final 10% come together! Thank you OC builders!

No, this isn't your typical 1900's-1800's antiques those guys have the real things from ancient Villas and Medieval Monasteries!!! YOUR HEAD WILL SPIN like mine did. Fireplaces and fountains from 800 years ago, the whole of structures dating back to the mid-ages, Limestone pavers from the time of the Crusades and even Jesus Christ!!! I ended up buying a Stone mantle for my great room that was newly carved in the style of an older fireplace they had on display. The final result was beyond description and was very well priced. The installer I ended up using has done over 400 of their mantles in already and was very detailed oriented. He even cut out a circular surround piece by hand as if a machine was cutting it!
