This is the only time I've felt compelled to write a review…read more I've been dealing with knee pain for years and was honestly getting close to going through with a full knee replacement. I didn't think anything could really turn things around at this point, but after starting treatment with Dr. Cohen, I'm finally seeing real improvement. Not only is he a skilled doctor, he's genuinely a good man. He treats you with respect, takes the time to listen, and you can feel that same level of care from his entire team. His technicians and staff are professional , kind, and make the whole experience as comfortable as possible. Let's be honest, getting knee injections isn't exactly something you look forward to, but every time I leave, I'm walking easier and feeling better. That says everything. He's helped me more than I expected, and I'm truly grateful. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Cohen to anyone dealing with knee pain or arthritis conditions. Brett P.

Dr. Cohen has played a crucial and essential role in managing my daughter's various health challenges, and his knowledge of and affiliation with other medical professionals has been a bonus in keeping her as well as possible. There are few doctors who are as willing to make themselves personally available for consultation beyond the practice's regular business hours. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Cohen. He is the standard by which all physicians should be measured.

Ever since starting therapy with him, I continue to feel better and see improvement every single day. What has also really stood out to me is how helpful Dr. Cohen and his entire staff have been whenever I've had issues with my insurance. They have gone above and beyond to help move the process along and make sure everything gets handled properly. It's refreshing to find a doctor who not only knows what he's doing, but also takes the time to care about his patients and help them through the entire process. I've had a great experience with Dr. Cohen and his staff and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for quality care.

He has such a close-knit network of fellow physicians that he can call upon whenever a patient needs. Very helpful when second opinions are needed. I have been a patient of Dr. Cohen's for just about 6 years now. I have had just about every abnormal reaction and Dr Cohen has been on top of every situation. His timely responses to me and his after hours efforts to help definitely make a difference in the patients quality of life. It has mine! I am truly grateful for Dr. Cohen and his office staff. He has some of the best staff around too. Dr Cohen and his staff know every patient without having to read your chart every time. Feels like family!! I had an incident (broken ankle) that wasn't Dr Cohens area of expertise but I called him right away and he made sure I was in the best hands for treatment. He even did follow up with me to ensure I was healing overall, not just leaving it to the foot dr. Dr Cohen truly cares about the whole well being of his patients and I recommend him to anyone. I have referred so many of my own contacts to him because he is the best.

Another downside, for me, is that when they order any kind of test, the order has an expiration date in a week or two. I'm a senior, don't drive, and suffer from fibromyalgia with severe fatigue. All the orders from my independent drs are good for 6-12 mos! I'm guessing that large medical corporations serve a wider variety of clients, often across the entire country, so some are unreliable and do things without discussing with their drs, ergo the corporate CYA policies. Ok, but that's not me, and the independent drs I've always seen know that. Computers do not. I'm now 65 and the doctors I was with for 25+ years straight are retiring sadly. Or going "concierge" style. I got a phone message saying that my dr won't be in the day my next appt is set after all. AGAIN!! ! Each time it's ANOTHER 3-4 months before they can fit me in. Because of my fatigue added to being a lifelong "night owl", I can only do afternoon appts. I can't get to sleep until at least 3 am most nights. I also had to change my phone's "do not disturb" settings because UCLA calls at 7 am. All my life I have been taught it's rude to call others at home before 9 am. So I never get to talk to the office or person that called, since when I call back it's routed to that call center. Extremely impersonal. No one there has ANY medical training, not even receptionist level, all they do is look for open spaces on a computer screen. No empathy, and zero offers of any other way to schedule an appointment or ask a question- you have to push for any of that. When I use the app, I can interact directly with my dr's office, but it's still a series of steps from who reads my message, to a nurse or other medical assistant, to the dr, then back to me. This leads to very poor information sharing. I prefer a much more individualized approach.

This review is for the medical practice rather than Dr. Tenenbaum himself…read more I've been a patient of Dr. Tenenbaum (technically one of his physician's assistants...you know the deal) for about 3 years. My medical history is pretty normal, so there isn't much to cover here: go in, get blood work done, get reminded that I have such-and-such value that is slightly above the norm for the population. Rinse, repeat. What drove me away from this practice (other than the 2020 pandemic...) is that Dr. Tenenbaum transitioned his practice to...concierge medicine. This artificially reduces the number of available physicians in the area, ultimately driving up medical costs for patients who do not necessarily need 24/7 support. I cannot ethically support this business practice, despite having the privilege of being able to pay an extra $200/mo for a service that I will likely not benefit significantly from...at least in the short term. I request that physicians reconsider going 100% concierge and consider a hybrid practice model. Allow those who cannot afford concierge medicine the ability to unlock a variety of physicians in the area. Healthcare is challenging enough as it is in this country...please don't add to the problem.
