The lab has a separate check-in stand and staff than the rest of the practice. It was confusing for a first time visitor to understand their system. There was a wait to be acknowledged after signing in. Patients are offered seating in a hallway versus a waiting room. Eventually, a phlebotomist called my name and took me into a private room for the blood draw. He was the best part of the visit. Very personable, professional, and able to get the blood flowing (so to speak) with the smallest amount of initial discomfort possible. Definitely a seasoned pro! Mission accomplished, and they sent the results to my MD within a week's time, which was the lead time I was told would happen.

Needing a General Practitioner, we persevered in our search and are so lucky to have found a pot of gold in the form of Dr. Manoj Aswani at Arroyo Oaks Medical Group in Thousand Oaks several years ago. My husband and I feel that Dr. Aswani epitomizes "excellence" as far as a physician is concerned. He's very knowledgeable, patient, kind, a great listener, and has a wonderful way of explaining the "whats" and "whys" of any treatments that may be necessary. One of the things I especially appreciate is his way of making me feel that I'm important, and that my concerns are legitimate. My husband is in 100% agreement. Another definite plus is Dr. Aswani's nurse, Jenn. She, too, is an excellent example of what a person in the medical field should be. She's friendly, pleasant, helpful, knows exactly what she's doing and extremely efficient.
