Very bad experience from the beginning.. would not recommend Chris's cooling.. we were without AC For 1week in the hottest part of the year.. was told the evaporator coil needed was on BACKORDER.. come to find out the part was actually available in 2 -days when we decided to go with another HVAC COMPANY...three weeks went by after Chris recharged our unit with Freon (for 479.00) waiting for the evaporator coil to be replaced ... and there was no follow up calls from Chris Cooling to update us on a ETA for the repair... We had to initiate those calls .... So frustrating and completely unavoidable. read more

Chris's Cooling was awesome. Chris always called when he said he would and came out to our house quickly and fixed the issues quickly. He was the third ac provider to come out to our home for ac issues in 6 months and the only one who was able to tell us what was wrong and quickly fix it. He was also very kind and friendly. We had Chris come out to repair our air conditioning right after we had moved into our house in early May, 2018. We had a home warranty on our new home so we used it to have the a\c repaired. He came with another employee and they worked on it and soon it seemed to cool, needing freon to be added to it, they said. While he was at our house, he talked me into buying a service contract for $140 that was supposed to be good for 3 visits from his company, two seasonal check-ups and one service call that we could use anytime. We decided to accept this and I gave him an additional $140 to for this service contract. A month later the a/c would not cool again so I called Chris to see if he could come and check it out. He told me that I should wait a few more days to be sure that it was not cooling as it should and call him then. When I waited a few hours longer, I called our home warranty company and asked that they send a different service provider to work on the a/c because it was not cooling. Later that day, a service provider came and worked on the a/c and again installed freon telling me that it had not been done right the first time and had leaked all over the ground around the a/c unit. The a/c has cooled perfectly since that time. I decided not to call Chris's Cooling again to use the service contract we had purchased since he did not do good work the first time he had come to our house. I sent him a letter asking for a refund only to have it be returned to me by the USPO marked, " Return to Sender-Attempted-Not Known-Unable to Forward". So, I tried to look for an address online so as to send the letter to him again and cannot find a mailing address. I sent an inquiry on his webpage asking for his address and he had never answered me. So, I think he has either gone out of business or refuses to deal with problems that he has caused. I guess I will chalk the $140 I lost up to experience and warn others that they should steer away from Chris's Cooling if you do not want substandard repair service and a lack of professional ethics. read more

I'd say overall I would definitely say you need to use someone else. I used my home warranty and they initially were the ones who choose this company. He did kind of fix one of our the issues but he also created another issue in the process that caused the drain pain to leak down our walls inside the middle of our home and did damage to our inside laminate floors. Not only that but we were without A/C for two days in the middle of summer because of his negligence. He refused to take responsibility for his mistake and did not even attempt to help make things better for us. He even went as far to say nasty things about my husband and why he should have done things that he himself was paid to do. I have filed a complaint against him from the licensing board but that is still in process and its been over 15 months since the work was done. The second HVAC who was called out by my insurance company fixed the problem and even explained to me he knew Chris. Said his daughter had committed suicide and felt like he wasn't doing well. I truly had empathy for the man and tried to be nice and not write any reviews that would hurt him. But after further investigation I have found out this is not the first time this guy has done this type of thing and feel its only right to let people be warned about him. The second HVAC company said they would write a report to help explain all of what we talked about so I could seek compensation but to my surprise his report actually criticized how much I talked and how long my story was. So even though my issue was fixed boy did I get hit by both sides. I will update the other company if I can remember it at some point. They did good work but their integrity is as bad as this guys. At this point it is only my word against his which didn't amount to anything. I have worked with much better HVAC people in my day. If you ever have issues with this guys work just know up front he won't back it up or take responsibility so just use at your own risk. read more

We had Chris's Cooling come for some warranty work on a small office, which turned out to be a whole new unit. They were prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable and in no time we were back in business comfortably. Many thanks for offering to do this at our convenience and not theirs. read more

This company was chosen for us via our home warranty. About 3 years ago our A/C unit went out and this company was chosen and replaced our entire unit. 3 years later on July 2 our compressor went out. Again going through our home warranty - Chris's Cooling was assigned. Home warranty was covering labor, but he was going to charge us for the compressor itself until I reminded him that he replaced our unit 3 years ago and it was still under manufacturer warranty (5 years) he then removed the charge for the compressor, but we were still charged $740. We were displaced from our home for 2 weeks waiting on this issue to get fixed. Mind you it is JULY in Texas and we have a baby so toughing it out with no A/C was not an option. Chris was very unprofessional on the phone and even cussed my husband out telling him that it does mean quote "a hill of beans" to him that our unit was still under manufacturer warranty. After pulling teeth, the compressor was finally fixed. Fast forward 10 days later and our A/C is not working AGAIN. I called Chris this morning to see if he would look at it and he said its probably something else and he won't come look at it unless I file another claim and have him called back out. We have decided to take matters into our own hands and call out a reputable A/C contractor. read more
