We were hours from home and hungry. We walked in thinking restaurant and realized it was more bar,but I was hangry so we gave it a try. I'm so glad we did! Love the food, service and ambiance. Went for fish fry, got the perch. Got 3 big pieces, fries, coleslaw and bread. The batter on the fish was excellent, light and crunchy. I used to work in R&D for a company that sells batters and breaders, I know a good coating. This batter on the perch was excellent. Patrons seems like regulars, I love seeing the interactions. Going back to try their famous fried chicken on Mondays. Price was reasonable. read more

This is a small home-town bar that offers pull tabs (from machines) and decent food with fairly priced drinks. The staff were friendly and the food was good. I tried to take several photos of the menu and the place/food because there wasn't much before. It was during the height of Covid and I thought they could have been more cautious. In Minnesota we were used to mask and spaced tables. They didn't have any of that. They were shaking hands and didn't seem like they were worried about the virus in this small town. I hope people stay safe but i was a bit leary because they didn't seem to change any practices for the Covid pandemic. I would go back, my dad loves this place and the food was very good. Bring you hand sanitizer if you want to be safer. read more

This place has always been a Burlington staple for burgers and fish fry throughout the years. Small, friendly, hometown drinking establishment with good food. They are the home of the "three legged chicken" (you'll have to visit to find out what that means). Located next to ChocolateFest Grounds...this is a must stop while visiting Burlington. Great atmosphere and better food. The interior is dated and screams 60s (without being retro), but, if you get past that the food is freakin fantastic. The burgers have Flavor and not from over seasoning. I know Fish Fry Friday means Cod but I've been in friendly arguments to get the last order of Perch. What they saved on interior design they've spent on quality food products. More places should do the same. read more

This is a hidden gem in Burlington, hidden right in the open. Fantastic prices and great food. We order carryout Italian Beef (Thursday Special) quite a bit at work. Each day has a special that is great, Monday Chicken, Tuesday is Chicken Wings, Wednesday is Italian Sausage, Thursday is Italian Beef and naturally Friday is a fish fry with optional home made potato pancakes. When we came into the restaurant we were told to have a seat and someone would be with us. NO ONE came for 20 minutes so I finally went to the bar and asked for menus. Once we had menus it took 15 more minutes for someone to even come to take our order. While I was in the restaurant I unfortunately witnessed the ceiling falling IN THE KITCHEN. The staff continued to serve the food that was currently in process on the grill without regard to the health and safety of their clients. They did not even throw out what was in process, clean the grill and start again, they served it with whatever may be in it including mold, plaster, whatever! They swept up the large debris but did not even mop the floor. Disgusting and totally unsafe. The fish fry was very tasty but after seeing the lack of sanitation or safety for consumers I would never return. I would not recommend going to this restaurant without serious sanitation attention and retraining of the staff. I did call the restaurant to express my concerns and the answer I was given by the owner was "well what do you want us to do?" in a very abrupt tone. If it seemed she was at all concerned for her customers I would not have posted this review, but it seemed she was not. read more

If you are looking for a great burger and beer stop here. Burgers were juicy and loaded with .25 toppings. The bartender multi tasked and tended bar and cooked food. Our 7 years old loved the hot dog. Clean inside and great service. We will be back. read more

I could not believe the unprofessional level of this place. The waitress was very slow and inattentive. She was more interested in wrapping silverware in napkins than taking care of her tables. We had to flag her down to order drinks, our meal etc. She never once, on her own, came back to see if we needed anything or if our experience was ok. We ordered, and at about the time that our food should have arrived, she came to tell us that they were out of perch. We were cool with that, because we know things happen. However, we waited well over an hour for our food. If at any point the waitress would have approached us with any explanation/apology for the delay, we would have been somewhat appeased. The worst part was when we were ready to go. Again, we couldn't find our server. We flagged down the lady who cooked our food and she brought over the bill. When I gave her a credit card, she said that they took cash only. Really? 2016? Why don't you have a sign anywhere. Anyway, I was prepared to deal with that, but I did mention to the lady that this experience was terrible. She yelled back "What was terrible?" I started to tell her, but she shoved my hand off the check and said don't pay. Really nice experience in front of our children. read more

Not a bad place if you drink beer, mixed drinks they put on the automatic pour thing, very weak drinks, I like flavor in mine. The food is pretty good, but if there is no cook, the bartenders get attitudes when you ask for food. The pizza is awesome, the fish fry is baked or fried and they both are very good, I haven't had the chicken. Its nice that you can smoke in there, they just could use some nicer bartenders, they all tend to treat the outsiders like nobodys. read more
