Finally got to try Doc's on the Fox and we could not have been more pleased. The restaurant sits right on the Fox River, is very spacious and well appointed. They have multiple large TV's strategy placed so if you want to watch a game it's great for that. They have both high-top and regular height tables with the major regular height. We tried the Pot roast dinner, Mushroom Swiss burger, and the chicken dumplings soup. The soup had excellent flavor and was homemade. Only wish it had more dumplings. The Pot roast dinner came with three large, thick pieces of beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, and carrots. Everything was very good and something that I would order again. One part of burger patty was a little over done but the rest was much better. Ordered medium and it was more medium well but still very tasty and delicious. Our server was amazing and took great care of us. Also got to meet Mike, assistant GM, and really enjoyed talking with him. They have a large parking lot and I believe you can also pull up in your boat. Only recommendation I would have for them is the handicapped parking spaces are on the west side of the entrance and the handicapped ramp is on the east side of the entrance. Went early (415pm) last Friday. There wasn't a wait for a table when we arrived, but when we left, people were lined up waiting! My 2 dining partners loved the fish fry and potato pancakes. Found another outstanding fish fry at Doc's on the Fox in Waterford. This is a great little Bar and Grill. We (party of three) got there around 4:30 and were seated right away. This place sits right on the Fox River and because we had never been before, we asked for a table with a view of the water which they happily accommodated us. The place looked very clean and there was a nice crowd. The staff was very polite and efficient. We started with drinks, a Pecan Old Fashioned, a Kettle One with Seltzer and an Octoberfest Beer then we all ordered fish frys. 2 baked cod and a walleye. It was raining so we didn't get to walk around outside too much but apparently they have two dock slips to come by boat. We went on a Saturday. Had a group on 10, they don't take reservations but were able to handle our group with no problem and take care of the rest of the customers. Our food was delicious. Most of us had the fried chicken special. It came out hot, also some had the meatloaf and pot roast dinners. The dinners were great but the desserts were FANTASTIC!!! They are severing pumpkin squares and wonton cheese filled deep fried. Over the top delicious. Service was great,friendly and worked well together. Can't wait to stop by for dessert again. read more

My daughter and I stopped for a quick lunch and were glad we stopped here. We were seated promptly, and our waitress was very nice and attentive. We decided on soup and a side of macaroni and cheese each, and we shared the cheese garlic bread that came with a side of marinara. My daughter enjoyed her French onion soup, and the chicken and dumpling soup was so yummy! The Mac and cheese had cavatavi noodles with the creaminess cheese sauce, so good!! Crunchy garlic bread with perfectly melted cheese and a very tasty marinara sauce for dipping. We each had a Carbliss Seltzer, which I don't find at many places. Enjoyed dinner on the top floor outside with a friend tonight. The view of the river and dock is fantastic! The patio has a fun, summer bat vibe going. I'd definitely enjoy a Sunday Funday here. My friend and I split the spinach artichoke dip. It came with plenty of pita bread pieces for dipping. Loved the pita bread! The dip itself was good, but a bit greasy. My friend ordered the chicken Ceasar wrap and I got the Greek salad (sub cheddar jack cheese for feta). We both enjoyed our meals. Decent portions and fresh ingredients. We went up to the bar to place our order, hut there were a couple of servers walking around, promptly clearing our table and checking on us. A great choice today. Our intended destination was closed for the day, so we sat in the parking lot looking for a full meal. Doc's had what we wanted. Started with out Maker's Old Fashioneds. Ordered Spicy Fried Shrimp for an appetizer. The breading is very delicate, had to scoop it up out of the spicy Sweet and Sour sauce. The breading is light, delicate and delicious, so don't leave it behind. The sauce had a little heat, which enhanced the flavor. Sundays, they have Fried Chicken dinner special. The breading is very delicate with a light crunch, the chicken full of flavor and juicy. Homemade Mash Potatoes and Chicken Gravy were excellent. The Vegetable medley was well seasoned and delicious. Today's desserts were Key Lime Cheesecake and Peanutbutter Cheesecake (my ears hear nothing after Peanutbutter is mentioned). Both were very light and fluffy. We will be back to try the rest of the menu. Looking forward to try the Wed and Fri Fish Fry. read more

Doc's on the Fox has become one of our favorite local eateries. We love that the food is always tasty and the service is clean and super professional. We recently hosted an event at Doc's on the Fox and everyone on their staff made the event absolutely perfect. Food: I highly highly recommend the Mac N Cheese. It's probably the best Mac N Cheese I've ever. It's tasty and even comes on a pizza (which i've had people love when I catered Docs on the Fox). We also liked the baked fish, baked chicken and kabobs! Service: Service has always been fantastic. The team really works together and treats the guests like family. They're constantly cleaning and even social-distance tables. We had an event and felt lucky we had such great and attentive staff helping us at the event. Our guests commented on how great everything was and we loved how they worked with us to make it perfect. Location: Doc's has the most beautiful rooftop and a private event room with views of the pretty lake. It's such a gem in Waterford and we are grateful to have found this place. Seriously. Wasn't sure what to expect from this place, but the pics looked intriguing so I thought we'd at least sit outside by the water. Not quite as depicted, but still very nice and spacious with an upper floor which appears to have water views. Service was impeccable and very attentive. Busser made several attempts to clear dishes throughout the visit. The appetizers were a good size and hot and tasty. Spinach artichoke dip was the standard and the cheese curds were pretty good too. Fish fry was decent. Only a half piece of bread but the other half would have been nice. Prices and menu were average American "barish" items and the place had a clean vibe and appearance. read more

Had graduation meal with family and my daughter left an important card for graduation at the table. I called and drove back as she was upset. It was graduation day and she was worried about this card cause it was important and it had money in it too. Jeremy and I dug through trash, trying to find this card in the end, it was behind the bar and no one realized. He met me in the parking lot as I was leaving with card in hand. I like how the ribs were cut and easy to eat. They fell of the bone, were smothered in BBQ sauce and were so tender. First, try the honey mustard sauce bc OMG is it good. I got the chicken club and asked for the honey mustard on instead of the Chipotle mayo sauce and so glad I did. Elevated that sandwich! Try the pretzel. It was warm, soft and salted just enough. I got to try the fettuccine chicken Alfredo and it was also good. The only downside was the egg on the burger was fully cooked and not runny when you cut into it. read more

Five of us locals decided to try Doc's on a week night. Patio area has a pleasant vibe. However getting up there is a challenge if you have trouble with steps (there are a lot of them). Also no restrooms on patio level. Guys enjoyed their pizza, girls all ordered the cob salad. A little disappointed that Cobb salad has rolled up lunch meat Turkey. Seems like you could grill a chicken breast instead. I'd be willing to pay more for that option. Service was excellent. Friendly, attentive and efficient. Just moved to Waterford and this place is awesome. You get a hometown vibe as soon as you walk in and the staff seems to embrace that. Every time I've been here I end up meeting someone new... it feels like Doc's was designed to be a meeting place. Doc's on the fox has so much potential especially considering it's location on the lake. Sadly they fail to utilize that potential. Food and drinks are average and the atmosphere/service is nothing memorable. If I could give advice is remodel the inside to be more modern and really focus on the food it's serving. read more

Picked it based on the Yelp reviews and because of the outdoor rooftop dining area. Unfortunately, the rooftop was closed for the season in spite of it being a beautiful day. So we ate indoors. First time here for lunch. The food is a five. The best burger my husband had in a long time. Cooked medium on a toasted bun with lettuce, tomato and onion. I had a delicious half turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato and cheddar cheese. The hamburger was served with fabulous homemade chips and pickle. I enjoyed a fresh mixed greens side salad with tomato, cucumber, croutons and a pile of shredded carrots. Service was a little slow. read more
